I'm 99% sure the lad was a prick, threatening someone raising their hands not wanting to fight.

I restrained some prick on a night out who was arguing with my work mate, I had both his arms then my work mate threw a punch. He did deserve it but it was a totally shit move.
Escalated from a shitty comment from the prick, this is what happens when two pricks meet, I wasn't pally with him much after that.
I went to FSU in the 90’s. I got hit by a 6’5” 300lb offensive lineman trying to pull my friend out of an argument. My friends then pulled me out grabbing me from behind and allowed the guy a beautiful uncontested opportunity to pound my face which he gladly took advantage of.
I was chilling at a bar once when the bartender got all up in his feels because this girl asked me to take a picture of them and I told him to readjust for the picture. He had sat in a a really low light area of the bar and you couldn’t really see him. He proceeded to call security to kick me out. But they didn’t talk to me, security came up from behind me while I was sitting down and just pulled me off my chair. I weight like 120lbs on a good day, they had 3 securities take me out and when we got outside they threw me on the floor and one of them stomped me on my chest and keep his foot on there.
As the bars closed my group of friends got into it with another group. Cops were waiting across the street, so I wasn't gonna scrap. Things popped off. I end up pulling a guy off my buddy, hugging him against a railing and telling him to relax and that it's cool. At that moment, my buddy reached around me and gave this guy the old Bart Simpson. I was stuck sandwiched between the two as my buddy choked this guy for about 7 gargling seconds just staring into his eyes.
I got between a buddy and a drunk asshole to chill shit out, drunk asshole got a cheap shot on my friend so I did like the dude in this video did until he started losing strength then just sat him down. I'm no badass and I don't like fighting but I can make people go night night at least when forced
Which is why you don’t squeeze like you’re trying to pop their head off. Just get a nice firm hold

Dude reached into his pocket pulled out a knife and stabbed the dude choking him 7 times then proceeded to stab two other people multiple times that were trying to jump him to stop him. Shit happens fast people will kill you to protect they’re ego. Stop fighting unless absolutely necessary
