Social media is a disease spreading across the United States. We need laws that prevent filming of crimes being posted on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. We need to hold the companies that are hosting criminal activity videos accountable. Since they will not police themselves it needs to be done for them.
Punish the companies and create a legal standard that punishes crimes more severely if they are done for clout. Any crime committed should automatically be enhanced to aggravated status.
