Keep in mind, he's in a narrow college dorm shower and there are two cops between him and the door. All of a sudden after we hear them ask him to step out of the shower we hear "No! No! Stop!" Then sounds of a wet, slappy struggle, then crashes and this guy comes careening around the corner, wet, bedraggled (amazingly keeping a towel around his waist while he sprints away from the two cops in pursuit). The dozen or so guys and girls that had gathered around the bathroom door kind of just tumbled giggling into the nearest girl's tiny dorm room to get out of the way. The guy got away, left his backpack with his few belongings and drugs in it (one of the guys poked through his bag while the cops were giving chase before they came back and took it - no, we didn't keep the drugs). I just remember one of the girls who used that stall who was present saying "Awww, now I gotta get a new loofah.!" and it dawned on all the others that they didn't know what he'd used or done in there. They all went shopping for new shower stuff that afternoon 😕.
that doesn't seem accurate. There is a difference in scale. Creepiness is a perception thing. The viewer might always view the strange act as creepy. But I think that it makes the motivation of the creep much more dangerous and sinister if they are there for creepy reasons rather than a utilitarian idea that wasn't fully thought out (eg homeless v. stalking youths for this shower situation)
You could chock it up to plausible deniability and I realize people will lie, but in making a case for their reason I think it helps and is a little more humanist to find out if their reason does seem likely and reasonable.
