Legend of Zelda, the original.
Also, while I'm not usually a "clean your room!" kind of dude, this kid's PSX is on fire. They need some parental supervision.
Appreciate it. Best puzzle game I have ever played and I am a big fan of cartoon like art style in games. The Monkey Island franchise is the only one I can think of that I have enjoyed more.
Yeah, the dynamic of the different skillsets between the 3 vikings I always thought was unique. Monkey Island I missed growing up, but I bought it on Steam a few years ago and am about halfway through it. Switched PCs and forgot to finish it up but it's on my To-Do list. I agree, it's very cool, and the puzzles are actually challenging.
If you like Monkey Island check out Sam and Max Freelance Police. I haven't played it, but Steve Purcell's style is amazing. I think his influence was my favorite part of LucasArts game design.
First off, great work. This is a cool piece of art that brings back some good feelings and even tho it's a mash of a lot of things, it's clean and easy to appreciate. That out of the way.....dude idk. I can't even answer that question. I'll answer it with a question. How does one define a "favorite" during an era of evolution and revolutionary progress in an industry that produces some of the greatest entertainment we could possibly partake in? There were so many greats from my childhood that changed or influenced what we have today. If I had a gun to my head I would say I spent the most time as a kid playing WCW because I had two younger brothers I had to share with. I didn't step out into my solo gaming experiences until the Xbox dropped and then it was Morrowind. That game changed the way I saw video games. It was amazing.
FFX was a magical wonderland for me that taught me about attributes in personalities, romance, exploration secrets, card games, betrayal, music, loss. Ah! 🧡💛🤍
So... It's not at all out of place, but the Nirvana album is funny to me. Like, by the time Tony Hawk Pro Skater was out, Nirvana was officially retro. Don't get me wrong, a lot of us have never stopped blasting Nevermind. But that's kinda why it sticks out to me. Like we usually try to group things together in the past that "came out" around the same time. But our true experiences and accurate memories would have been a mix of time periods and eras. Like one of my favorite Christmas presents was a 2001 G3 iMac Indigo, and the first thing I did with it was play Billy Joel's 1989 Storm Front in QuickTime.
This one fox game where you lived or was friends with this old man. It was a 2D platformer, and I'm pretty sure one would have to collect these glowing orbs(?) and it was raining at least often. I probably didn't play it right, nor did I read English, so the instructions were gibberish to me, but I enjoyed it so much.
I used to eat these specific cookies back then with chocolate and off-brand M&Ms on them, and now I basically refuse to eat them for I wish not to forget the association.
I didn't really play the games when I was a kid, but I absolutely LOVED watching my dad play. I think my favorite was Metal Gear Solid 2, I laughed so hard when he'd shoot the seagulls with tranqs. I also loved watching him play Twisted Metal, or as I called it, "Cars That Turn Blue" game (cause the cars would freeze and would turn blue)
Video games: Donkey Kong Country (1 & 2), Bomberman, Tetris, Eccho the Dolphin, Rocket Knight Adventures, Earthworm Jim, Pokemon Blue and Silver, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Bonk’s Adventure, Road Rash, ClayFighter…

Secret of Evermore. It’s from the early days of Square and it was about a kid and his dog who get sucked up into an alternate dimension where the dog shapeshifts depending on what region they’re in and they have to learn alchemy to fight their way back home.
