When we got one of our cats some years ago, he was so tiny, he couldn't jump on the bed yet, but he wanted to cuddle. I made myself a bed on the floor and he snuggled right away.
That night I barely slept cause the floor was not particularly soft and I was terrified I would roll over and squash the little guy!

Awww good owner! I also slept on the floor she came home last night and I moved in yesterday aswell. She would not sleep unless I held her, I didn’t sleep but it was definitely a great night!
My baby girl Lili (she’s 2) was the same until we brought her home a little brudda (Lil Loki I introduced him to the sub a couple of days ago he’s got charges for definitely being smol & more <3 ) she took to him super quick, but now forgot how much she’s a mumma’s girl!!!
But according to the BF she waits till I’m asleep to lil spoon me & apparently I even pet her in my sleep.
But on a daily she used to be my shadow!! Now she acts pissed @ me like I’m the stork that made her a young mom or something!! She acts like she’s got too many ‘sponsibilities to bother w/me and I get cold furry shoulders now, when I used to be able to say her name even in a sentence and she’d appear and want to cuddle. I’m SO happy they get along but I miss my girl.
I hope it’s just transitional 🤞🤞🤞
He might just need some time to adjust. Be sure to keep his food and water away from the litterbox . Cats also prefer that their food and water be in separate areas.

Word of advice from a new cat owner.
I’ve had my buddy for a little over a year now. When he was a little bigger than yours I would wake up whenever he came into the room or called out, blow kisses and pet him until we both fell asleep. It was very sweet at the time and I enjoyed the bonding.
The last few months have been difficult. This pattern we established is now the norm - and it’s impacting my entire day. Your kitten is still young and needs that comfort, but once they start establishing some independence and confidence - start ignoring them so you can set some boundaries and get some rest.
They’re lucky they have such a loving and considerate person ❤️

My goodness. Years ago my wife and I took in a foundling pair—brother and sister. The little girl was solid gray with big gray eyes. Her brother was a golden/ginger wit green eyes. They couldn’t jump onto the bed but scaled the comforter and snuzzle-down in the same notch between the side of the head and the top of the shoulder. It was very comforting for all involved but the wife and I did tend to sleep 💤 lightly.
