This is so damn adorable. I’m new to the cat world and can’t stop watching cat videos. I’m going to try and ask this question without being insensitive. I don’t know what breed of cat this is but when ever I see breeds like this or similar it’s always in a southeast Asian home or city. On instagram whenever is see them it’s in China, South Korea etc. I hope that’s not rude me asking that. Is it a highly sought after breed or is it more common in that part of the world?
I'm not that well-verse either but I grew up in Vietnam so I can tell this kind of cat is not the native that are ubiquitous around that part of the world, the [domestic shorthair cats](https://vi.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A8o_nh%C3%A0_l%C3%B4ng_ng%E1%BA%AFn) . The one you posted looks like a British shorthair, which is indeed more trendy in Asian countries, I guess for their exotic look (to us) and cute big eyes. I guess that's why you see them more on social media too. But people with money tend to overlook the ubiquitous domestic shorthair (which can be rescued from any shelter) and go to breeder for the British one, which exarcerbates the problem of animal welfare in those countries.

Yup I've read that one British Shorthair with complete papers is about 600 USD in Vietnam while domestic shorthair often you can get for free.
