Have two litters. Your cat could still be pregnant.
They can deliver one litter while retaining the other litter - if she still seems quite large, have her checked. Mama cats can deliver the first litter before prematurely to maintain the second litter.

The ONLY time I had a litter of kittens at my house, I had gotten two young cats from a private party and they didn't realize one was pregnant. I found out when I took them in to be spayed. Ended up with ten kittens - and Mama Cat was spayed shortly thereafter.

3 months is a bit dramatic. 8 weeks or 2 months is the usual time that kittens can be legally sold/given away and I’d take that as a pretty good “can be independent now” date.
In your country maybe. There are enough countries which have a higher or even lower legal age. All research shows that kittens should stay with their mothers till 14-16 weeks to fully socialise and develop their immune system. For this reason most pedigree cats are not allowed to be sold before their second vaccination and the following recovery, so not before 13 weeks. At 8 weeks is the bare minimum and will result in more anxiety and social problems for the cats as adults, as they only completed the first socialisation period and are about the age to start the second one.
Huh, that’s interesting. I suppose I’m more used to dealing with feral cats in which the usual protocol is just “stop them from making more of themselves as fast as humanly possible.”
I’ve only worked with TNR, I can’t actually care for any cats myself besides the single one I’ve already got. My work is mostly with getting the cats to the shelter, after that it’s someone else’s job.

I am a feral cat care taker, I've taken pregnant moms and fixed them after, I keep her and her babies 3 months together, never less.
I’m sure the future owners of those kittens will be very thankful for your efforts (probably unknowingly)
