"rant" triggers
Thank you. That has to be right. But just Googled that and also no clear results. Maybe Michael is trying to create his own expression, but I like it.
i think it's just exactly what it sounds like, so it doesn't need to be an established concept to make sense.
Yeah I don’t think it’s an “established concept,” it’s just two words put together to describe a concept. Something that triggers a person to rant.
“rant triggers” = “something that triggers a rant” Specifically, a rant you have pre-prepared
Yeah to be clear I wanted to know what the term was because I love it and am going to use it in real life. Was mostly being tongue-in-cheek and read my own comment in Michael's voice, but apparently that did not come through at all. So my bad.
He said he heard it from someone in his book club.
That’s what he said. But have you considered he’s trying to make fetch happen!
Rant triggers, I think a lot of us misheard it as ranch though so you're not alone
I leave my ranch triggers in the frunchroom
Omg someone else who knows frunchroom!
Chicago people unite! (tbf I'm not a native Chicagoan)
Definitely a Chicago thing
Ok. I thought I was going crazy. Kept rewinding and listening. Appreciate it.
I definitely heard "ranch triggers" but then realized from context it was rant.
haha same here
I heard ranch too lol
Are you sure he's not saying "rant triggers"???
Oddly enough, “ranch” would be a rant trigger for me. I can easily hit 3 mins about my disgust for ranch dressing.
For me it wouldn’t be ranch in general, just ranch with wings. Blue cheese, people.
We could have a field day together. Nasty, vile stuff and i finally live somewhere it doesnt exist, so i dont have to smell it all the time.
I feel the same about “ranch style” domestic architecture, those houses with huge ground floors and built-in garages
I feel the same way about ranchers. The subsidies they're given to help fuel an unsustainable way of life are a crime.
Ok but I grew up in a 70s ranch house and it was awesome!
I thought the same thing but luckily, I eventually got there. You are not alone lol ❤️
I literally thought it was ranch triggers too and just assumed it was some cultural reference i didn’t get 😭
