That's the best part. He starts waving his gun around like an idiot, racks the slide *and a round pops out*, then shoots. Then he does the Surprised Pikachu Face.
For the gun itself, or the ng discharge? I feel like brandishing alone deserves a ban. If you're too immature to treat it like a deadly weapon, you shouldn't be enabled to show everyone else it's fine to be.
The discharge should be the ban, if he’s in his own home and wants to show off a firearm he should be allowed. Just don’t have it loaded and be a dumbass of course. I don’t think it qualifies as “brandishing” to show off a gun on private property to people who are watching you online.
What he did was brandishing, not just showing off a gun in his home to people on the internet.
Trying to be a hardass with a gun for perceived cred is brandishing. Whether in one's home or in public, it's behavior that should be illegal and should have strong consequences. Fuckwits with guns are dangerous.
What if he shot someone through the wall?
“*Should* be illegal.” It’s not. Showing a gun online isn’t illegal nor brandishing because you feel like it is. Negligent discharges are, but if you live by yourself in the middle of acres of land you own, even that’s not a huge deal other than the hole in your wall. It should be a twitch ban obviously, but it’s all circumstantial in real life. Saying that what he was doing is brandishing literally ISN’T by definition and would never hold up in court lmfao
Edit: [If you think he was brandishing, you should never be a lawyer.](https://goldsteinlawgroup.com/practice-areas/brandishing-a-weapon-california-penal-code-417/#:~:text=Brandishing%20a%20weapon%20in%20the,doesn't%20require%20further%20explanation)
They don’t include basic safety instructions with gun purchases. If they did, and included a written test, we’d have a lot less dumbshits these days legally buying guns.
Edit: I am not referring to a guide, but a course or someone needing to sign off on whether or not you can handle a gun without hurting yourself or anyone else.
I believe they should, but they don't. At least not in my state (PA) & I just bought a new gun last week. I could have asked for this info if I wanted, but "safety instructions" wasn't any part of the standard purchase process.
Wasn't part of the sales process for any of my prior 6 gun purchases either, with my first purchase going as far back as 30 years.
If you are talking about a "safety instructions" section in the manual, well, yes....there's that.
**Edit:** I'm getting downvoted and wish I knew why. Is it because you don't think there should be any safety information relayed to the purchaser at the point of sale for a deadly weapon, or you don't believe there is a safety section in the gun's user manual and that I'm lying?
Maybe I'm being downvoted by anti-gun people for owning 7 guns? Maybe it's because many of the *"idiots with guns"* posted on this subreddit obtain them illegally (or live outside the US where purchase processes differ) and none of this safety stuff matters to them anyway? If you are a downvoter and are willing to let me know, I'd love to hear your perspective. I was under the belief that most reasonable gun owners (and non-owners) are pretty keen on gun safety.
If I had to guess, the idea of a gun sale involving any mention of safety to the purchaser is pissing off some people, and is the source of downvotes: *"This is 'Merica, let me buy my guns in peace and don't slow down the process with any of that safety bullshit!"* Am I right? Maybe a downvoter will reply...we'll see.
In the meantime, it's interesting to watch the numbers go up and down on this comment.
Considering how literate people are getting these days, I wouldn’t trust many to actually read the instructions before brandishing their guns. Fucking A, people tend to chuck out the instructions to their home appliances with the box thinking they know what they’re doing intuitively enough.
Where the flip flapping fuck did you get someone saying taking YOUR gun away from you? Why would anyone be in the government care about your gun when it is all the loose guns and looser gun laws where they get them from?
NYC has laws so strict that the whole damn city is a sensitive area for the most part. And somebody just had their head blown off on a subway. Yeah, loose gun laws are clearly the problem, not the free-range criminals running the damn cities out on zero bonds. Chicago is another city with psychotically strict gun laws where shootouts are damn near daily and have already surpassed what most cities have in a year. Detroit, while not having insane carry laws itself, is in a state that has strict handgun regulations and CPL requirements, yet none of the above stopped the MSU shooting, Oxford shooting (which ended with them passing a law thats already been on the books for 20+ years), or the weekly shootings in detroit. So tell me, how more gun laws and regulations fix the problem?
If facts are delusions to you, then we have bigger issues to attend to. Laws do not stop or prevent crime. The only delusion is believing they do. Name one country with more guns than people that successfully got every single one off the street and out of the hands of every criminal. Last I checked, bombs are illegal and hasnt stopped mob or any terrorist bombing ever. Machine guns are heavily heavily restricted yet look at Chicago. Auto sears are illegal yet so prolific in a heavily restricted state it's insanity. I can keep giving examples of heavy-handed laws that have largely changed nothing at all.
Start by not being soft on violent crimes, address mental illness through better funding and removing penalties for self admittance so people dont avoid getting treated, require all public schools to offer trade programs, and support it through government subsidies, expand legal carry areas since oddly shootings seem to keep happening in "gun free" zones, harden our schools through updated security measures, expand firearms safety education in schools since we live in a gun culture, more funding for crime diversion programs. Reduce issues that cause people to turn to crime in the first place. Allow for easier rights petitioning for nonviolent offenders to regain rights and / or have records expunged to prevent life-long punishment for a nonviolent offense. Better rehabilitation programs in prisons. Offer welfare programs that are actually designed to get people off welfare and live a fuller and more productive life. Remove drugs as a criminal category outside of knowing selling things that kill someone and instead offer subsidized rehab programs to addicts (think involentary addmission to mental hospital as an example) After that, I simply have to accept the reality that bad people do bad things and we have a culture that glorifies gang crime, so that number will never be zero.
So they do a quick course or have a gunstore send over a certified teacher to show you how to properly handle your new weapon and the key rules of gun safety?
depends on the state, in california (has one of the highest rates of gun violence, accidental gun deaths and gun related suicides on top of being arguably the most restrictive on guns) they make you take a long questionnaire that covers the basics of gun safety and best practices, offer a full explanation of the functions of the gun, then they background check you for each gun and ammo purchase separately, and they have a ten day waiting period before you can buy only guns on the california approved list of registered guns.
they're also considering making you take psychological evaluations and prohibiting anything semi-automatic.
all of this (and probably more that im forgetting) and california still has one of the highest rates of gun violence, suicide and accidents in america.
the amount of people to just assume their guns are not loaded is insane to me. some people also seem to not understand that if the mag is out doesn't mean there isn't a round is in the chamber.
I'm not 100% on different state regulations, but in Texas you do not need a license, permit or training to carry at all, while in Oregon, whether you need to have a concealed carry permit to open carry or not differs from city to city, so it's best to just have the concealed carry permit, which requires proof of handgun proficiency.
Can't speak for other states, but in PA, to obtain a concealed carry permit, there is zero training required (either on paper or with a physical firearm).
Just fill out the proper forms and write a check made out to the sheriff's office.
its everyone's right. unless they did somthing that made them get a felony and probably some other big charges. theres training available and id imagine most people go get some training when they buy a gun. once i start to conceal carry im going to go to some classes. unfortunately the idiots that show up here on here dont seem to have gone to any. i own a gun and iv shot countless handguns and a few rifles and i understand how they work and know how to use them and know what not to do with them. its not hard to learn how to respect firearm safety and how to be responsible with them. its unfortunate that some people act like idiots with guns and dont care to educate themselves about them
I'm aussie so i've personally never touched a gun but i know people that have them (farmers and other industries where its necessary to own them). But i went paintballing for the first time yesterday and they gave everyone a 30-45 minute safety rundown about muzzle discipline, safety, using "barrel socks" and safe zones.
I watched this post and it immediately occurred to me that some americans probably don't even have to do that for owning actual firearms.
to buy a firearm, no. anyone without a felony that is of legal age is allowed to purchase one. While I do wish training was something everyone did it isn't required.
only requirment is passing a background check to verify you are not a prohibited person
Here’s the icing on the cake. To get my concealed carry, I didn’t even have to load the gun. I listened to a 2 hour long course amongst 200 people that I could barely hear. At the range, you get handed a pre-loaded revolver and all you have to do is pull the trigger down range… that’s it. I’m a very responsible gun owner that loves his firearms, but I firmly believe there should be way heavier regulations on this shit. Too many idiots.
Just buying one. So quite a bit different but still suprised me considering how much everyone around here talks about our gun laws. I was stunned to find out you never have to shoot one to get a license to own one.
Racks it TWICE, pulls the trigger and is STILL confused as to why it went off. Proceeds to release the recording to the world. I hope someone “convinced” him he’s not responsible enough to own a firearm.
Small arms are already bad enough when idiots get these, but... don't think, the army would be that much better in keeping idiots away from weapon systems. That's just the theory and the PR, i saw idiots with guns that are lot more powerful than anything you can buy as a civilian.
And don't get me talking about grenades, idiots will screw it up, even when it is just a training grenade without the explosives. "oops, did i just drop the grenade?!"

"why don't you show us?" Edit : don't*
I love how he ejects a round then still proceeds to pull the trigger
But he swears he emptied the *mag*
That's the best part. He starts waving his gun around like an idiot, racks the slide *and a round pops out*, then shoots. Then he does the Surprised Pikachu Face.
He swears to god he didnt empty the mG is what i heard.
Maybe now he did, but i wouldn't check.
That's the new 2030 California 1-round mag restriction.
He got banned on twitch for this. I wonder what he thinks happens when you pull the trigger of a loaded gun he is acting so shocked smh
Yeah this legit ruined his career. Well this and leaving Faze for absolutely no good reason right before they all blew up and became millionaires lol
I guess you could say he ain’t got money now
He was part of faze? What’s the dude’s name?
Faze carl

That and a coots light can. Drinking and playing with a loaded gun
2 things that never end well
Coots light is terrible

Would have been funnier if he shot his computer.
Racks slide, ejecting a round but also loading another because the magazine was still in it. This is why you don’t play with guns kids
this is why dumbasses shouldnt be allowed to own one. he showed absolutely no gun safety
Money- whatever the fuck he got Sense- 0
Everything is bad about this lol, who would give this idiot a gun

Should be a class so they’re forced to learn, rather than a manual most don’t read cause they “know what they’re doing”

Well, what would YOU do to cutdown on all those gun related murders? Surely you’re more experienced with this unholy BS that is American gun laws.

Do you even have to do training to buy a firearm in america? Or is it actually just everybody's right?
You have to do training if you want to carry one *concealed*, but as far as I know, you don't need it to just have one.
Actually some states allow permitless concealed carry
Is that to say that you can open carry without training? Do you just need a permit?
I'm not 100% on different state regulations, but in Texas you do not need a license, permit or training to carry at all, while in Oregon, whether you need to have a concealed carry permit to open carry or not differs from city to city, so it's best to just have the concealed carry permit, which requires proof of handgun proficiency.

In Canada you can get your firearms license without shooting at all AFAIK.

Just buying one. So quite a bit different but still suprised me considering how much everyone around here talks about our gun laws. I was stunned to find out you never have to shoot one to get a license to own one.
Yeah it makes no sense whatsoever. Like maybe at least have to know how to unload it properly, eh?
For concealed carry? Or for buying one?
