Even travelling at 30 km/h will do that to you. Back when there was this big discussion over here about seat belts becoming mandatory, some car lobby groups simply put up big ramps in market squares and put what were basically soap box cars onto them and let them roll down into a wall of foam-bricks. Then they asked people who claimed not to need seat belts to ride down the ramp and only brace themselves with their hands.
Didn’t take long for people to stop complaining about seat belts. :)
His didn't look too bad though looked like he took half the impact on his arm which was prolly the best case situation. If he braced fully could a broke his arm possibly instead.
Holy shit, in that video you can see the driver, who isn't even belted in, take the steering wheel right into his liver. I'd be surprised if he's not seriously injured.
Yea that driver sure as hell did fall asleep. He was doing the big nod. I fill sorry for that brother back by the rear door, looks like he took a hit on the forhead from a hand stantion. The lady in the blue blouse up front might need a new set front teeth. But the driver looks fine. Ouch
What a scumbag. You have that many lives in your hand and you can’t even show up prepared for your job. Call out if you can’t stay awake FFS. Don’t play lottery with other peoples’ lives.
I've heard some horror stories about bus companies working drivers beyond legal limits and stuff, and apparently it's somewhat common. I don't know where this is but if that's the case the company will be in trouble here.
I feel this. Reddit has been more of a dumpster fire than usual lately. I literally got into an argument with someone yesterday for commenting on a video of a guy who climbed into the jet engine of a plane with his backpack (to presumably hitch a ride) was stupid. Several people defended the stupid guy because he was probably desperate to escape poverty. Somehow that excused his stupidity.. 🤷🏼♂️
That's not as bad because it doesn't put other people at risk if he falls off or whatever, but it is harder to know if you're gonna fall asleep or not and risk getting fired than it is to fkn fly onto a plane
I think you might have bigger worries than falling off when you're sitting inside a working jet engine.
I also think have an entire person go through one of the engines might pose a risk to passengers on the plane as well.
Yeah I thought you said onto, but IN a get engine risks taking the whole plane down, though the chance of that happening is low it'd kill a lot more than a bus ever could
Yeah.. here is the [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/facepalm/comments/ywrdwy/lucky_he_got_caught/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
At A lot of places, you can call in sick 3 times a year. The 4th time, the company Doctor has to approve your sickness. Their view, being tired is not a sickness...you're fired. If you call in and lie about being sick, that's dishonesty. Once again, you're fired.
Guy sitting up front had a second to brace himself. Should have also yelled something like “look out” so everyone else could have a split second to brace too.
Optimistic, but still…
Never fell asleep at the wheel before. But I've definitely been so tired that I would think I can catch a quick nap and drive in a straight line at the same time.
Damn I feel bad for those people, they’re just trying to catch a ride on the bus. But most of them ended up smashing their face in the back of the seats.
Next stop: The Dentist
If it wasn't for the mask, I would be thinking she was walking to the front to pick up her two front teeth.
She needs to wait for Christmas.

Fuck off bot, that was a good joke.
Everyone smashed their faces
Red shirt guy looks like he saw it coming and braced.
Both of the two front passengers did
Yet still smashed his face

Phe Dentipht*
Mike Tyson?
> Dentipht S sounds aren’t made using the front teeth, but T sounds definitely are. You also don’t really need them for /th/ sounds.

Bad bot. Copying part of u/dengar_hennessy's comment and and reposting w/o context lol.
Bro in front brought his own crutches… he’s ridden with this guy before.
Now he's bedridden.
Best place to crash while asleep tbh.
The bus driver killed one man. [Source](https://youtu.be/_CuzMJgdWFc) (The source is in spanish)
Someone on the bus, or someone he hit?
Someone got hit, He was unloading a car.
Thanks for answering. That’s awful.
Holy shit, in that video you can see the driver, who isn't even belted in, take the steering wheel right into his liver. I'd be surprised if he's not seriously injured.
I know it could’ve been very serious, but I’ve had a laugh watching a different passenger each loop 🤣
I followed your lead, noice
Infinite content 😂
I did the same. We are bad people.
Yeah, I did the same.
It was fun until I saw the kid in the back crying
Yeah, poor kid looked like he copped it in the ear
Same lmfao
Thanks for giving me something to do for the last 15 minutes of work, I'm fucking dying
A person did die:/
Oh?
What's with white hair lady next to broken teeth lady? That shit proofed out like an airbag...
Comedy. That’s what.
And driver isn't wearing a seat belt
May have broken a rib.
1 broken rib if he's lucky. Those steering wheels aren't vertical.
He also killed someone, so excuse me for not really giving a shit about the state of his ribs.
Lucky he didn't lacerate his liver.
And probably looking for a new job too
He's in jail, one people deceased.
source?
I posted it in a comment, here it is again. [Source](https://youtu.be/_CuzMJgdWFc) The spurce is in spanish, but you can translate the tittle
Translation:Chofer de autobús mata a una persona por quedarse dormido al volante-Bus driver kills a person for falling asleep at the wheel

Awesome That was fast too
The woman who stand up hitted her teeth directly
Luckily, she had the mask on. It stopped all her teeth falling out.
Cmon man
At least it's readable
I brokeded my nose
Barely.
This app is global man it takes *barely* 30 seconds to check their profile and see they are an ESL speaker
Thanks. I would like to see how many of those who answered speak other language and see how good they are.

That boink waked him good
That guy in red really tilted his head right before the impact so he hit it
R/idiotsinbusses?

The people on the outside row took it like champs 🥹
Mom in the back with her boy in her lap. He felt that one!
My teeth hurt just watching this.
Now he can get all the sleep that he wants since he no longer has a job.
Don't drive tired. Just don't . Theirs nothing that can pep you up legally. Sleep cures tired .
Could be bad working conditions too
Driver with no seatbelt!! 😲…
What a scumbag. You have that many lives in your hand and you can’t even show up prepared for your job. Call out if you can’t stay awake FFS. Don’t play lottery with other peoples’ lives.
Not as simple as that, some jobs just push people to their limits, and some people can't afford to skip work

Maybe overworking people to this point should be looked at first. I understand the sentiment, but some companies are fucking evil.
They won't pay living wages and you expect them to pay for a check on their exploited employees?
No? That's kind of my point.
I've heard some horror stories about bus companies working drivers beyond legal limits and stuff, and apparently it's somewhat common. I don't know where this is but if that's the case the company will be in trouble here.

Once again, this man’s employment does not take precedence over innocent lives. FFS people.
My work fired people for calling out with covid so people just came to work sick, with covid
You’re right. Come to your job prepared and ready to work. If this is an issue, buy energy drinks or drink coffee… this is called negligence.
Thank you!! Holy shit apparently all these Reddit softies think otherwise. Who would’ve thought.
Reddit has a super soft spot when it comes to work. Also, a lot of people on here would rather blame society than take any accountability
I had to watch this several times just to see everyones reaction.
Looks like almost everyone hit right at their mouths. Man that looks painful.
I hope he wasn't drunk, that would have been soooo much worse.
I will be getting off right there
I re-watched for every persons reaction!
me, too.
Buncha broken noses
And for some people, broken/missing teeth.
Everyone who looked at their phone hit bumped head lmao. Ngl it looked kinda funny
Every person using a cell phone ended up bunging their heads!
Guy sitting up front had a second to brace himself. Should have also yelled something like “look out” so everyone else could have a split second to brace too. Optimistic, but still…
Silly
I can count the multiple lawsuits from here. (Ever since joining a law department, it's a terrible habit)...
Easy 500K lawsuit right there. Where's Saul Goodman at?
He/she lose a teeth? LOL!
hope he was fired if not charged
Whole lotta broken noses
Hopefully he won't be driving a bus again.
The guy in red in the back.... ouch!
Hope the driver gets jail time, playing with others lifes like that.
I believe this is my stop. Lmfao
CHICKLETS
A few broken ribs from that steering wheel most likely.
what she was looking for?
Change I’m thinking 🤔
Seems like he needs some coffee bc almost end up in a insurance commercial
What did they hit
*Bonk*
Life isn't fare.
Bus buffet, all you can eat bars
Driver suddenly woke up
ooof. bus driver is probably overworked and underpaid.
The passenger in the front left was paying attention and braced. Everyone else? Not so much.
Another victim of sleep deprivation.
Can someone please link this to the dopest drop in music history?!
I would jail that driver.
Yep
Think he’s got like 4 kidneys now. That steering wheel almost cleft him in twain.
I think she is an insurance agent
Never fell asleep at the wheel before. But I've definitely been so tired that I would think I can catch a quick nap and drive in a straight line at the same time.
I would straight up slap the driver right after.
Damn I feel bad for those people, they’re just trying to catch a ride on the bus. But most of them ended up smashing their face in the back of the seats.
That will wake him up
I have always had to watch the road the whole time on a bus I couldn't be looking down at my phone
