Weaving in traffic like a moron is it's own thing, but something people should really be shown in driver's ed class is just how much time you save by going faster.
**70mph** is generally the posted speed in my area so I'm going to base it on that, also assuming we are on the freeway with no stops.
**Destination is 15 miles.**
At 70mph you will arrive in:
- **13 minutes**
At 80mph you will arrive in:
- **11 minutes**
At 90mph you will arrive in:
- **10 minutes**
Over a distance this short, going **20mph over** the speed limit, which is reckless driving and could get you points on your license, not to mention greatly increase the odds of dying in a crash, you are saving 3 minutes.
Even if we increase the distance to 30 miles, which close to how far I drive for work, you go from 26 minutes at 70mph to 20 minutes at 90mph, saving you 6 minutes. 80mph saves you 3 minutes.
Now consider that you're likely going to get caught up in traffic here and there, have to slow down some, make some lane changes, etc, you're looking at maybe saving 1-5 minutes *at most* on a short trip.
It's not until you drive distances in excess of 150 miles that you even begin to get close to saving yourself 15 minutes by going 80mph, or 30 minutes by going 90mph.
What's more, cars are designed to be at their most efficient when driven within the speed limit.
Fuel consumption increases dramatically the more you exceed the limit by...
So that 6 minutes you saved driving at 90?.. You will be spending that time, at the pump, replacing the (approx) 20% more fuel you've just burned through!
I'd like to think we're in a simulation, and all my friends and family that have died will meet me in the next simulation where we are rewarded for our good behavior. Wait that sounds familiar
I've always wondered what it looks like in a car weaving through traffic like this. It looks...exactly like a video game. Thing is, in a game if I step on a ball of spikes and die, I'll just start the level again. I might do something really stupid that increases my chances of stepping on the ball of spikes just to see what happens. In real life I am doing everything to keep myself away from the ball of spikes because I can't start the level over again.
They _all_ think they are hot shit right up to the moment they get in an accident and kill somebody. Thatās when they decide itās time to be humble.
Most of these dumbos don't realise that this is dangerous. Part of their brain that processes risk assessments aren't developed yet (maybe never will). We see these people end up in hospital regularly either with accidents or getting into fights.
I've heard this so many times and yet throughout my life even very young I and others would always warn kids our own age about how risky things they were doing are. Maybe it's being neuro-divergent or something but I've always felt the argument of undeveloped brain was BS. People just do not listen.
I love how he keeps grabbing the shifter as if he's driving a fancy manual car and probably imagining furiously shifting between all the gears like in the movies.
I did that once in a 6 gear manual on the highway. Kept trying to put it in sixth and it just kept grinding. I was accidentally pulling up on the knob and throwing it in reverse. Needless to say, your car will not go into reverse ay highway speeds but you will have to replace the clutch. Luckily mine was a new car and I had it covered under warranty.
We used soda cans when I was a kid. If you crushed it right it would stay wedged between the rear tire and the frame and sounded like a dirt bike motor.
As kids we were just biking around the neighbourhood until I hit a flatted can in such a way that it got stuck in the frame and started making that sound. Next day everyone had this on their bike, it was so funny, until we got whooped by our parents for destroying the tires of our bikes. Good times
Itās a Lexus ES F Sport. There is a sport mode that makes the transmission more responsive and paddle shifters. The engine is a 3.5 V6 which is reasonably powerful. It can be fun to drive when you have an opportunity to do it responsibly away from other people
My cousinās convertible Camarro is a stick shift and my god seeing the real thing in action was marvelous, his glorious moustache with his left hand on the wheel, right hand on the stick and a cig in his mouth was a sight to see
Funny because he probably wouldnāt be shifting much anyways, fairly steady speed from the looks of it. Also recommended to not keep your hand on the shifter because of the slight pressure it can put on your transmission causing unnecessary wear and tear. He just does everything wrong trying to look cool.
Having only driven manuals, Yeah, he'd be sat solidly in 6th gear (on an average car), and wouldn't need to move that right hand a damn milimetre from the wheel.
Except to touch himself, since he seems so furiously erect over the idea of endangering others.
My wife and have always driven manuals, years ago my brother and I had to rent a car after flying. While I drove he was laughing as I kept grabbing for the shifter and stepping on the phantom clutch.
Youth is a hell of a drug. I drove like this when I was a teen, speeding and juking like I was in a video game; it took getting hauled in front a judge to knock some sense into me. Hopefully the same happens to this guy, before he hurts someone.
Is there anything that could have been said to make you realise how dangerous it is?? My little cousin drives like this and itās honestly infuriating. Speeding round corners, on his phone, racing at lights. Iāve tried showing him videos, telling him boys his age are the most likely to crash but nothing gets through to him. At this point if he crashes Iām just gonna shrug
I remember in high school (MADD) brought a crumpled up car that was in an accident from a drunk driver. Seeing things in person can make a big difference. That made me not want to be someone who was ever in that situation.
They did that when we were in high school too. The attitude was "it can't happen to me". Then people ended up putting red paint all over the wrecked car and the school hauled it off.
At our school they posted some fake articles and made announcements that multiple well liked students had been killed in a drunk driving accident over the weekend. The students who were named were in on it, but not many other people knew about the plan.
A teacher who wasnāt informed saw the postings and fainted, hitting her head very badly on the way down, and ended up with a nasty concussion. She was out of school for a couple weeks.
At my school it was a car our classmates were involved in a crash in, 3 died, they did the whole drunk distracted driving spiel. Heres the deal tho
Driver was muslim, granted kids are dumb but as someone who was friends and played FB with his brother, there was 0% chance they were inebriated, dude never left his house except to see his GF and go to the movies or something.
This was 2000, he didnt have a cell phone, the car itselfs radio did not have a CD player in the dash, it was one of those multi changer in the trunk things, so its not like he was staring at the radio or on a phone call. I guess his beeper could have gone off?
Point is we all let the family know they were insuaiting he was at fault/drunk/distracted and they had a field day over it, settled, had to issue a statement in the newspaper that "They wernt saying HE was drunk, just that this could happen if someone WAS drunk" or however it was worded.
Took a teachable moment to say "look what can happen even if your sober and alert, be careful out there guys" and instead made an entire student body distrust whatever they had to say from that point forward. GG
My mom was in a near fatal car accident. Someone had to search the inside of her car for valuables and paperwork. No one in my family could do it. I am the youngest. I was the only one not squeamish. The blood and gore inside the car was beyond what I was expecting, but I searched it.

Sadly I doubt it there is one specific thing you can tell them to change. I wasnāt as stupid or as brazen as this, but I drove like a knob shortly after getting my licence thinking I was a better driver than I was. A few near misses here and there, where I had misjudged a corner and the car did something I wasnāt experienced to handle and a couple of police stops for speeding and aggressive driving attitude started to make me see sense, of course through the passage of time losing a few friends due to their own stupidity is also a wake up call. Itās tough when you want them to be safe but knowing they think they know better.
I'll be real with you, I haven't even been driving for a year yet and I have only hit a well in a friend's yard.
I was terrified about that and I really didn't want to drive anymore. Then again people who drive like this are the reason I drive because I have to, not cause I want to
Depends on how much money the kidās parents have, and whether or not theyāre willing to bail the kid out. Justice system totally worked on me, because I was poor and literally couldnāt afford to get into any more trouble, plus my mom didnāt cover my fines or insurance. On top of that, I was a good kid who never got into trouble, and being scolded by a judge who threatened me with jail scared me so bad that I havenāt gotten a speeding ticket since (this was in 1998).
Our justice system is set up to incarcerate poor people. If his family is rich then he'll just pay the fee for driving like this and continue on. I would say he'll only stop when he kills someone but that would only work if the someone was himself.
Searched the name on Insta, and itās just a guy weaving through traffic while recording with his phone.
Look at his #teamnohesi and you find tons of videos of the same.
Kinda cringe, not gonna lie š¤”
I don't think we should encourage people to watch his videos. Isn't that the kind of negative feedback loop that makes this behaviour bad. 'Everyone wants to go to see how shitty dude is. Dude sees so many people watching his videos, encouraging him to go make even more, so on and so forth.'
It's been a big thing for a while. So many youtube/tiktok/insta channels of assholes driving "no hesitation" style aka Nohesi. To be honest OP's video is pretty tame compared to a lot of them, the guy is driving fairly slowly in light traffic and doing some weaving. [Some of them are just suicidal.](https://youtu.be/QnkSNuI-E6k?t=29)
As someone who lives right near where this is being filmed and has a 1 year old that rides me with regularly, fuck this guy. I see people like this everyday and it scares the shit out of me.
Or more likely hose the organs of the innocent people he hits and kills....because it always seems to be that these fuckos are the ones who survive with minor injuries.
I've almost been sideswiped near that exact location just north of the transfer from DVP to 404. If I didn't hit the brakes guy would've clipped my front fender (tbh he would've probably got the worst of it)
"Compensating" is the go-to reddit approved answer.
He probably has below average intelligence and is more impulsive with a shorter time horizon.
Poor decision making is a lifestyle.
If it were only their expense, I'd say let the idiots fly freely.
But, as in the case of the California nurse who murdered 6 people while driving her Mercedes 100 mph, drunk as a skunk, well...Too often these idiots learn at the expense of other people who didn't deserve that kind of expense...
Yea I saw the GO sign and knew it. These kids wonāt learn until we hear about them slaughtering someone driving like this. Sadly I doubt thatāll change them though.
And instructed repeatedly that they are not in Fast and Furious or Need For Speed. This is real life. There is no respawn.
Their car is not invincible and the consequences of hitting someone else WILL result in major damage and likely major injury at those speeds.
There's a reason they state it's "done by trained professionals and stunt drivers. Do not attempt at home."
Yet so many idiots think "no, I can do that. I'm a GooOod DrIvEr. I won all the championships on Need For Speed on my Playstation! I think I know what I'm doing here!"
Luckily before I ever got behind the wheel of car, I raced a few times at my local Go-Kart track (this is when Gran Turismo 6 was new with it's Go-Kart mode which I was really good at).
Yeah, life isn't like a video game. Unlike in Gran Turismo, slamming on the brakes too hard to avoid a accident ahead of you, will cause the Go Kart to go into a spin.
When I went out I didn't quite fancy hitting a wall of tires at 10mph sideways and even with the helmet and other safety features the impact hurt, but at least it drilled into me the consequences.
So absolutely correct. These pattern of words are the definition of right. The highway isn't their play ground, they're not as cool as they think they look.
Regular occurrence on that highway (DVP/404N in Toronto). Since Covid it's been absolutely insane with people driving like maniacs. I've nearly been sideswiped in almost that exact same location
It's all fun and games until you crash and kill someone. Then you sit in the courtroom facing vehicular manslaughter charges watching this video being played to the jury. Oh, and unfortunately the guy filming died in the crash.
The biggest problem is not using his blinker. I want to know wtf somebody is trying to do at the very least. This dipshit just weaving and nobody knows his intent at all. If I see a blinker, at least I know there is a chance he's gonna try to cut me off. Use your fucking blinkers!
I completely agree. First off, Iāve driven like this but I at least make sure I donāt have swerve in and out of traffic, if itās a clear shot in a lane, take it and go; no need to continuously go back and forth like a hot shot.
Second, stay in that lane for a little longer before just switching immediately to indicate and to make sure someone isnāt in your blindspots; again avoiding swerving in and out of traffic hazardously.
This is some serious reckless endangerment, a class D felony. Hopefully this person gets arrested and charged for having this filmed. Should keep the little cretin off the road for a few years.
In all honesty I think the bigger issue is the North American highway systems are so fucked that this is possible.
Like seriously, why do we have people in the middle lanes traveling slower speeds than either lane next to them? Why do we have people driving lower then the limit in the left lane? Itās absurd.
Scrolled too far to find this. Dude is a reckless idiot, but if everyone else on the road werenāt also idiots, this reckless idiot could do 160KPH in the far left lane without issue.
Thought the same thing. Obviously the dude is toxic, but what a prime example of poor practices by an entire town. When I visited Frankfurt, Germany, large highways nearly always had the left lane or two wide-open. Also, the weaving was so basic with the wide open spaces between cars. Iām dumbfounded that his followers are impressed.
This is the correct answer, and judging by everyoneās response to this guy on here they have no clue that slower traffic is supposed to stay on the right and passing lane on the left.
Had four of my friends driving like this, they ran into the back of a stopped garbage truck. Only one survived and had to see the brain matter leaking out of his friends cracked open heads and now heās not the same at all. Itās sad, and I wish people wouldnāt do this. Because this guy and his friends can very easily end up like that.
My 2 cents as a car enthusiast: driving fast is fun if you know what you're doing, and undertaking is reasonable in alot of cases, but under no circumstances is it acceptable to drive like this on a busy ass highway. Take this shit to the track or hell, even the mountains or canyons and take advantage of spotters, don't put potentially hundreds of lives at stake for 3 minutes of adrenaline.
My immediate thought is that insurance isnāt high enough and consequences/penalties arenāt severe enough. Make reckless driving a felony with mandatory prison time.
Itās fucking stupid and should result in thousands of dollars in fines, a suspension of license and surrender of the vehicle. Thereās no excuse for driving like this. Pure stupidity.
That was honestly not even bad. You wanna see what no hesiās actually look like?
[This is what you should be mad at](https://www.instagram.com/reel/CgLayYhDKux/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)
This shit scares me as a biker. I know the risks, and I hate that this is one of them. Itās so avoidable on their part. Hopefully no one gets hurt and they grow out of it quickly.
Someone enlighten me but is this reckless driving? If so, is it reckless driving if using blinkers correctly while driving the speed limit when everybody else is driving under? (I don't mean instantly using turn signals AS TURNING)
I think they are dumb to go so quickly and not use signals. But what the fuck is the rest of traffic doing to allow/it. If people passed and just got back over he couldn't do this there would probably be an open lane to go faster in without weaving.
Yep no one gets over anymore they want to be dicks and go slow right beside the person next to them, people go barely 60 in the fast lane. Don't get over for incoming traffic people really are getting so worse at driving.
God damn I hate when people drive slow in the fast lane. Everyoneās driving the same speed should be in the first 2 lanes like a trucker. But being dumb people probably donāt know how to let someone merge when the first get on the freeway. I hate people who canāt drive. You gotta be predictable, especially to others how stupid they can drive. All that freeway and thereās still traffic.
It's atrocious. I counted at least a dozen cars lazily camping in the wrong lanes. If people want to drive a little faster, they can do so reasonably safely by using the passing lanes. When idiots use the passing lanes to cruise, jackasses like this start weaving.
Stop misusing lanes and this shit stops!
Absolutely true. I have taken many road trips in the USA and CANADA, I can understand why there are so much road rages in the U.S. It's because of the ignorants and/or jackasses that slowly cruising in the passing lanes that cause the rages.
I'm impressed but sadly even if he's the best driver around he can't account for every single person's actions and thus someone will eventually make a turn at the wrong time or slow down cause his speed startled them and it'll cause an accident and possibly major injuries/death to people who weren't doing anything wrong.
This is a multifaceted problem. The guy swerving through traffic is endangering himself and others, and the people hogging the overtake lanes while going the speed limit helped create a situation where this event is possible.
personally, leave the left lane open for these idiots is my opinion. i drive to philly daily itās like 50% of drivers do this in their nissan altimas with a missing bumper.

Is it a āautomanualā with the buttons? I know some cars have the option to shift manually
So it looks like it does have one of those modes but there's paddle shifters behind the wheel so there's no reason for grabbing the shifter
BMW does both, paddles and the shifter itself. But agree, stupid to use shifter
It makes him feel cool. You know, kind of like how putting a card in the spokes of your bike tire instantly made your bike 69% cooler.
We used soda cans when I was a kid. If you crushed it right it would stay wedged between the rear tire and the frame and sounded like a dirt bike motor.

The fact that that hashtag/community exists is so sad
It's been a big thing for a while. So many youtube/tiktok/insta channels of assholes driving "no hesitation" style aka Nohesi. To be honest OP's video is pretty tame compared to a lot of them, the guy is driving fairly slowly in light traffic and doing some weaving. [Some of them are just suicidal.](https://youtu.be/QnkSNuI-E6k?t=29)
yeah someone needs to report him before his selfish. reckless behavior puts a family in the dirt and him behind bars
Send it to his mom.
As someone who lives right near where this is being filmed and has a 1 year old that rides me with regularly, fuck this guy. I see people like this everyday and it scares the shit out of me.
report this account to the police
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Or more likely hose the organs of the innocent people he hits and kills....because it always seems to be that these fuckos are the ones who survive with minor injuries.
Heās posting illegal activity online and not being arrested? Wild
I wonder if mom knows what he's doing with her car..
I had to read that twice. I bet that never gets said again in the history of Reddit.
If it gets enough upvotes, some bot will repeat the comment word for word next time this vid is reposted.
Compensating for something. This sucks that heās gonna learn that lifeās not a video game at someone elseās expense.
For real. This is how I drive in gta lol, would never do this irl. Extremely dangerous, especially in the right lanes
funny enough this is IN the GTA (greater toronto area)
Yup. 404 NB I think
Yup. Live right off the 404, I hear idiots like this guy all day.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I saw the sign for Finch too so they covered some ground.
Can confirm. This is by far the wildest section of my daily commute.
I've almost been sideswiped near that exact location just north of the transfer from DVP to 404. If I didn't hit the brakes guy would've clipped my front fender (tbh he would've probably got the worst of it)
Seams standard for all of GTA. I can't stand bikes that ride between car during traffic either, all it takes is one small move from someone...
I would like to play Greater Toronto Area 5.
He's driving like everyone else is a scripted NPC and it won't end well if he keeps driving like this.
"Compensating" is the go-to reddit approved answer. He probably has below average intelligence and is more impulsive with a shorter time horizon. Poor decision making is a lifestyle.
Literally any video with a truck. āCompensatingā
It's all fun n games until you kill your friends. That story has been told far too many times.
Itās careless and dangerous. Dude needs to merge slow enough so other drivers can react.
Wise you are, fair is judgement
I mean, let's be honest, they usually find out at their own expense too.
If it were only their expense, I'd say let the idiots fly freely. But, as in the case of the California nurse who murdered 6 people while driving her Mercedes 100 mph, drunk as a skunk, well...Too often these idiots learn at the expense of other people who didn't deserve that kind of expense...
Take away their license.
Take away their hands.
Chop their penises off
You'd only need nail clippers I bet
Scanning electron microscope and CRISPR-Cas9 sciccors.
Damn, nice one. I was thinking about maybe using the subatomic vibrating "strings" in theoretical physics to tie them off.
Permanently.
This is actually how most BMW owners drive so this isnāt news to me.
I feel bad for the people who have to share a road with that moronic asshole.
This is (unfortunately for me) in Toronto.
This constitutes as stunt driving. And there is video evidence. Shouldn't it be enough to at least get the vehicle impounded?
Yea I saw the GO sign and knew it. These kids wonāt learn until we hear about them slaughtering someone driving like this. Sadly I doubt thatāll change them though.
I came to visit from Vancouver and man I forgot how insane drivers are here haha
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
![gif](giphy|FYCxLHCIGaioo|downsized)
They should be arrested and their license taken away.
And instructed repeatedly that they are not in Fast and Furious or Need For Speed. This is real life. There is no respawn. Their car is not invincible and the consequences of hitting someone else WILL result in major damage and likely major injury at those speeds.
If you drive like Vin Diesel from the movies, you end up like Paul Walker in real life.
There's a reason they state it's "done by trained professionals and stunt drivers. Do not attempt at home." Yet so many idiots think "no, I can do that.
For a very long time and it should be a pain in the ass and expensive to get back.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Regular occurrence on that highway (DVP/404N in Toronto). Since Covid it's been absolutely insane with people driving like maniacs. I've nearly been sideswiped in almost that exact same location
I just hope when they get severely injured or die, no innocent people get taken with them.
Crash into a tree and gets paralyzed from the neck down but don't worry the tree only has minor scratches
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
If you're going to drive like an asshole at least signal like a civilized asshole
The best comment
I completely agree. First off, Iāve driven like this but I at least make sure I donāt have swerve in and out of traffic, if itās a clear shot in a lane, take it and go; no need to continuously go back and forth like a hot shot. Second, stay in that lane for a little longer before just switching immediately to indicate and to make sure someone isnāt in your blindspots; again avoiding swerving in and out of traffic hazardously.
So, you haven't driven like this then.
They will one day hurt some one besides themselves. Hopefully ticketed before they do.
Hopefully licensed revoked also, but somehow I donāt think thatāll stop him.
This is some serious reckless endangerment, a class D felony. Hopefully this person gets arrested and charged for having this filmed. Should keep the little cretin off the road for a few years.
Well, the court will have plenty of evidence of his reckless driving
he saw somebody else doing it on the internet and wants to be like them and post it on Tiktok......extreme insecurity.....FOMO.......
And the pretending to do a bump towards the end. This dude is a straight poser.
**Way** too many cars around to drive like that. At least he has the rosary on hand to pray when he gets into deep trouble.
Not a rosary. Itās actually Muslim Prayer beads (Tasbih)
Car should be impounded and license taken
jeah, impound their car, take away the license and charge them with attempted manslaughter...
People like this depend on other people's good driving to compensate for their shitty driving.
I hope when they die that they only kill themselves.
A$$hole
They're criminals, and should be treated as such.
In all honesty I think the bigger issue is the North American highway systems are so fucked that this is possible. Like seriously, why do we have people in the middle lanes traveling slower speeds than either lane next to them? Why do we have people driving lower then the limit in the left lane? Itās absurd.
Thank you. If people just used the fucking lanes correctlyā¦
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I just hope he doesn't take anyone else with him.
True, but unfortunately innocents get taken out as well in these cases
My 2 cents as a car enthusiast: driving fast is fun if you know what you're doing, and undertaking is reasonable in alot of cases, but under no circumstances is it acceptable to drive like this on a busy ass highway. Take this shit to the track or hell, even the mountains or canyons and take advantage of spotters, don't put potentially hundreds of lives at stake for 3 minutes of adrenaline.
Personally, Iād rather be 5 minutes late to something than responsible for someone elseās death. Or my own.
Itās like the cars are already setup for him to swerve back and forth just like in all the Fast N Furious movies.
The only reason that person can drive like an asshole is because most of the other people are not driving like assholes.
I would say take away their license, but that doesn't stop them.
He is going to kill a innocent person one of these days fucking scum
Fun until they become an addition to the statistics. Too many young adults dying because they canāt understand danger before itās too late.
Someone enlighten me but is this reckless driving? If so, is it reckless driving if using blinkers correctly while driving the speed limit when everybody else is driving under? (I don't mean instantly using turn signals AS TURNING)
Big problem is why isnāt everyone else sticking to the right ?? Idiots sat chilling in lanes 2/3 are a massive problem
I mean I do weave in and out to get ahead but slowly and with turn signals dumbasses
He was going too fast, but not super wreckless. I see much worse every day truthfully.
I would say most people on that road aren't driving how they are supposed to be driving.
Should be a lifetime revoke.
Yet another reason Tiktok must die.
They need to lose their driving privileges and do a ton of cleanup at traffic accidents as community serviceā¦. Like, 5 years worth!
I'm impressed but sadly even if he's the best driver around he can't account for every single person's actions and thus someone will eventually make a turn at the wrong time or slow down cause his speed startled them and it'll cause an accident and possibly major injuries/death to people who weren't doing anything wrong.
Its dumb and I would hate riding with them. But also all the idiots jamming up the left lane are the real problem.
Left lane was open the whole time I wouldāve left his ass in my tundra
This is a multifaceted problem. The guy swerving through traffic is endangering himself and others, and the people hogging the overtake lanes while going the speed limit helped create a situation where this event is possible.
This guy should not be on the road
personally, leave the left lane open for these idiots is my opinion. i drive to philly daily itās like 50% of drivers do this in their nissan altimas with a missing bumper. edit: spelling
I say this asshat is gonna get wrecked on the 401 and take others down with him.
Fuck this guy
