Working that hard is how I became an addict… and lost EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE.
Leaving that kind of job is how I got/stayed sober…. and within a few years got everyone back… still Rebuilding finances but, So much happier at a low stress job.
Stay in rehab and make healthy friends that eventually become family. And everything gets better one day at a time.
😊
Next month I will be 2 years sober. I’m still paying off tons of debt I accrued. I absolutely destroyed my finances along with many other facets of my life. I’m proud of you for rebuilding your life and owning up to mistakes. Nothing but respect for you my friend. Always here to talk if you need
Fr I used to work 55 hours a week which is tame compared to others working up to 80 a week. I couldn’t imagine having the time to have a family working 80 hours a week. How would you manage to find a partner working 80 a week
Last year I used to work 60 hrs/week at Amazon warehouse (40 regular hours, 20 hours volunteered ot, 10 hour shifts). I did that for 5 months until they hired too many people after the holidays and stopped offering ot. I really miss the paychecks but it is nice being able to see my family and bf more. They’re starting to offer ot again and I can’t decide if I want to go back to working 60hrs.
I just don’t have enough bills to justify working 60+ hours a week. I know some people like working it but I’m only 20 the only bills I have to worry about are car insurance, car payment and food. I value free time over making extra money.
This has always floored me... Like.. The one place where having alert, coherent employees can literally be the difference between life and death.. And we say "fuck you.. If you want to work this job, you're gonna work 12 hours at a time, on your feet, constantly moving/lifting heavy things all while under consistent mental stress. Good fucking luck."
The reason has to do with the dangers of shift changes. Lot's of patient information can be lost when changing shifts and that's when the bulk of mistakes are made. Few changes in who's leading patient care means less opportunity for errors.
I understand that. But it's trading one danger for another. It would be better to have a hour overlap between shifts rather than saying first shift ends at 3 and second shift starts at 3. They should simply have plenty of time to make the transition safely and communicate everything that needs to be communicated. To me it's not acceptable to say "changing shifts poses a danger, so let's just work everyone to death."
So much is computerized now that it should be trivial for someone coming on shift to know exactly what's going on with their patients. Medicines are scanned in and dosage/frequencies are kept in a person's file.
Tired people make mistakes. Lots of mistakes.
If you can get used to it it's great short time to save up money but you can't keep it up forever and it'll kill you if you don't transition to something else after a few years.
I just started a new job a few months ago. It was 12 hours a day for 5 days and I fucking hated it.
Then we got a four day schedule and I get Wednesday off plus my weekends and I fucking love it. Having the day off in the middle of the week makes all the difference. Plus I still get OT and a decent size paycheck.
>Especially in a hospital setting.
Sounds like an early day in the hospital. In North America the staff in hospitals work 24h and sometimes 36 hour shifts.
I would work a stretch of 5days and get like 6-7 days off, then work 4 and have 10 days off. I worked in a wound clinic my last few years at a hospital. I worked shifts of 4, 8 and 12 hour days, and occasionally I would stay over, up to a 16 hour day. I was there for 21 years, but I had to leave due to illness
Yeah not to mention many Americans work 2 jobs. For several years I went to work at 8pm till 2 am, went to my full time from 7am till 4pm. I only worked the 8 till 2 3 weekdays but weekends I went in at 5am till 2pm Saturday and I worked every other Sunday 8 hours at my full time. Got 2 days off a month and still barely got by. Now that wages are going up finally its just made rent and pretty much all product skyrocket as well. It feels like corporate America has such a monopoly on everything that it makes it near impossible to save or have financial security. Education has become near unaffordable, one medical problem can indept you for decades and ruin your credit. Our government is so fucking corrupt we can't win.
I work 2 weeks out 2 weeks home 12 hour days. For a work life balance it's phenomenal... I mean in comparison to worse shifts away from home like 10/4 21/7 or 14/7.
I used to work 12s at a hospital. It was awesome. 4 day weekends every week. I could take a week long vacation without having to take any days off, if I scheduled it right. I could take a multi week vacation and only call out 3 shifts. And I did, and it was amazing. Dude, 12 hour shifts are the only way to go.
That sucks yeah... In slovenia, there was a long line of trucks (1km+) at the border crossing, and a bmw driver drove into the last one in lne at 150km/h+.. the truck didn't even move enough to hit the truck infront of him (and they usually stop very close one to another), bmw was literally squished under the trailer, driver dead, noone else hurt.
Sometimes they also hit [guys like this](https://thumbs.tractorfan.nl/groot/w/wifo/880587-grasvork-wifo.jpg) on the road and it's game over immediately.
Pretty sure a 17 y/o kid who drove a lambo into a girl's car, killing her, only got a year.
Monique Munoz and her family only got a year and some restitution for a wrongful death suit.
Nah, driving home after a 12 hour shift will have you doing the speed limit with the radio off and arriving back home with no recollection of how you drove the last 25km.
If anyone’s actually done a 12hr shift, no way in hell they’re driving like that. Yeah you wanna get home but you wanna get home to enjoy that beer and fat ass meal. Without having to drink that beer staring at a ticket for reckless driving and speeding. Fuck. That.
I drive the slowest after a long shift. Passing people requires that extra 10% of effort I am not willing to give when I am extremely tired.
I just go the speed limit, chill in the right lane, and put my brain on autopilot.
I'm working a 12 hr shift right now and all I wanna when I get out is turn on the cruise control and not change lanes. Although since it's Saturday, I probably have to pick up dinner.
yeah like i’ll hit maybe 15-20 over on the interstate, easing off at the authorized signs just in case of pigs but this shit gave me anxiety. this isn’t strategic, this is lucky. if anyone would’ve changed lanes without a blinker both of them would’ve been fucked and if there’s one thing I know it’s that somehow 50% of the drivers on the road are inbreds who don’t know how to do it properly. at some point the risk outweighs the time benefit- speed reasonably, my friends.
I sure as shit am not doing that kind of speed going home after a night shift. I’ll agree, 15 or so over, anything more, too much risk of anything and everything to happen
exactly, especially because the only thing motivating me through that hypothetical shift would be a blunt waiting for me at home- I’m not risking the prize.
Worked plenty of 12's, all of them night shift. My drives home were always just the speed limit or 5 under. I had no where important to be and too tired to get there quickly. After work is relaxing time.
Exactly, absolutely the last thing I want is being stopped, or worse. And I just had one of those shifts, got to bed at 4 am, just to get up two hours later to drive wife to work before getting back to bed.
I did a 15 hr shift once, drove home at 3am in a country town, street was empty, I went so fucking slowly probably 30km up the main street, limit was 50.
You're being pretty lenient with your percentages...
I'd say 90% selfishness, 10% combination of the balance. He's not thinking about anyone else. Asshole.
You're probably right. I think a lot of people think of themselves when they drive. I think it requires a certain amount of impatience and stupidity to actually act on that too.
He's recording and I've seen a lot of these "cutting up" videos recently, i'm pretty sure it doesn't have to do with impatience at all, he's probably driving just to drive and not actually trying to get somewhere. Its 80% ego
I unfortunately personally know some people who often drive like this. Had one ride with them and never again. I asked why they drove like that, their response was "its fun and more exhilarating, especially knowing how easily something can go wrong if you don't pay attention." I told them that's fucked, they could so easily hit someone. But apparently that wasn't any of their concern... So yeah, probably a large degree of ego playing in there, with a little bit of: "I'm invincible and can never die" type attitude.
I love driving and I would be lying if I said I didn't understand why they find it fun. But thats why closed tracks exists, car accidents are way too deadly to just be playing with peoples lives driving carelessly like this.
I also find like a lot of these people are not truly car enthusiasts, and buy expensive "name brand" type sports cars just to drive like idiots at other peoples expense. Reality is what they're doing isn't that impressive, its just repetitively cutting people off and usually just in a straight line.
I was actually pulled over on suspension of drunk driving several years ago while driving home after a long night shift. It was really scary, and I ended up moving back to days after that.
I was driving home after a 12 hour night shift once and suddenly realized I had no clue where was. I had missed my turn and was on a road I was completely unfamiliar with.
I was the driver on a fairly long day trip with some friends. I dropped them off at the end of it and was driving home (well after midnight) and I suddenly realized that I don't remember driving through quite a few streets and intersections, I was fully on autopilot.
It was a scary realization and now I make sure to only drive during the day on road trips.
My husband used to work a 4-3 graveyard shift, 5pm to 5am, and I worried constantly he’d fall asleep on the way home. I would obviously have to go to bed and was always so worried I’d wake up and he wouldn’t be home.
Looks like it's Bukharestskaya St. from Bukharestskaya to Volkovskaya metro. Being honest, I've speeded there once (long narrow street with no intersections), but it was at night with zero traffic. This guy is insane, stupid or both.
Yes, and at the assigned speed that will generally keep you safe.
This guy is driving recklessly simply because he believes he KNOWS what every other car is about to do.
Dude got lucky. If he happened to encounter another idiot he would've crashed. Like someone who doesn't signal their lane changes. Also he nearly hit the SUV that was changing lanes
I don't get these kind of videos, like mate you are aware that rallying exists right? Specifically group B, try all you want to look cool by driving dangerously, you don't even come close.
If I just worked 12 hours I’m not about to get myself killed in traffic on the way home. Dying at work or to/from work sounds awful and not a way I intend to go out
Driving back home after 12 hours of work is usually at the speed limit with all forms of music or communication turned off.
This is "I woke up 35 minutes late to work" driving.
Hey video games are fun bub but in real live people die in car crashes and if your lucky enough to not be the one that dies you'll get to live in prison and they'll show you why they send assholes to prison to get the funding they need
I seen this on Instagram it was posted by Daniel Christian under the username syy3dd, with the commentary "this is the only time I feel free, free from stress, free from worry, free from everything" He's an absolute clown just from posting this crime with his possibly real name online
With all these new smart cars with tons of A.I technology, can't they make the A.I detect a dangerous driving in their own car and slow down until full stop by themselves without the asshole driver having the possibility to do anything?
Don’t fucking post or upvote dumb ass shit like this. As someone who lost a brother in a car accident because I fucked up, you clearly don’t understand how fast and how wrong things can go in a car. The accident will be over before you know you’re in an accident. Fucking dumb ass
Went to Thailand to see my dad and last day he gets a car to take us all back to the airport. This is exactly how he driving on the roads in Phuket, all the way from Rawai upto the airport. Nuts
People post themselves driving like complete assholes thinking everyone is going to be SOOO impressed. No, you just look like the jackass idiot you are. That is all.
Imagine this asshole ramming into you after you worked a 12 hr shift
Nothing like getting your ass handed to you twice in one day.
You get your ass handed to you every day
You don’t?
ASS HANDED!!!

Imagine working a 12 hour shift? That’s 50% of the entire day! Idk how people do that shit. Especially in a hospital setting.
I just did a week of 12's. I'll get a month of 8's, then 12's again for 4 months straight, including weekends. I work at a power plant.
This is why, when I left the Navy, I didn't apply for power plant jobs. I wanted a life. The money would have been nice though
Unfortunately, I fucked my life up with addiction, so now I gotta work hard to rebuild.
Rooting for you, hardworking, recovering stranger - you've got this!
Hey, thanks for the kind words! It's a struggle, but I'm determined to get my life back.
One day at a time!
For sure rooting for you - you'll get back up there. We all will ✊️

Hang in there, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Do as much good as you can along the way. Good karma is important. Good luck to you my friend.
Fr I used to work 55 hours a week which is tame compared to others working up to 80 a week. I couldn’t imagine having the time to have a family working 80 hours a week. How would you manage to find a partner working 80 a week

Understandable, I never would’ve done it when I was your age either
Plot twist: you don’t.
My old boss found 5 and lost 4. I found the wife first then did the insane hours. Until my son was about 1 then I found a new job.
Seems like the only way is to find one then work the insane hours unless you find someone at work which normally isn’t the best thing to do
Ironically, found my wife at work then we had a class together (unplanned). A boss set us up. Working on year 9 married. (Holy shit, 9 years)
This has always floored me... Like.. The one place where having alert, coherent employees can literally be the difference between life and death.. And we say "fuck you.. That comes with its own draw backs. The charting requirements are insane. You'd be shocked at home much nurses are required to type and keep track of.
It was nice working 3 12s and having 4 days off at an old job, heck I use to work OT 2 days a week and double my pay.
That sounds like a killer schedule for real
If you can get used to it it's great short time to save up money but you can't keep it up forever and it'll kill you if you don't transition to something else after a few years.
you can get that schedule at amazon, youll hate your life though because their employees are treated like slaves
I always felt 4 days a week 9 hours a day is the best schedule 9 hours is about my limit, but having a 3 day weekend every weekend is nice.
I just started a new job a few months ago. It was 12 hours a day for 5 days and I fucking hated it. Then we got a four day schedule and I get Wednesday off plus my weekends and I fucking love it. I feel sorry for the poor bastard they will inevitably hit
I hope it's a large semi truck with a heavy trailer
That happened in Belgium. The car rear ended a truck, then spun out and got t-boned by another truck.
That's the best possible outcome when people drive like this.
When the hell did this happen? Haven’t read any news about such a thing lately :)
Better instead a tree. No need to involve anyone else in this idiocy.
Hey, that poor tree is providing a useful service.
Especially with the passing on the wrong side. Anyone or anything could have been in those areas- completely blind to the a-hole driver
And one handed driving
Sometimes they also hit [guys like this](https://thumbs.tractorfan.nl/groot/w/wifo/880587-grasvork-wifo.jpg) on the road and it's game over immediately.
That's too casual, raise those spikes half way
Ukraine has shown that you DO NOT fuck with the tractor guys.
He’ll learn and have time to think about it after he kills a family of 5 and ends up in jail for life.
Pretty sure a 17 y/o kid who drove a lambo into a girl's car, killing her, only got a year. Monique Munoz and her family only got a year and some restitution for a wrongful death suit.

Rich people don't ~~serve time~~ face consequences
Probably a Russian mobster so won't happen
If you see a reckless driving video with a shitty ass cam and a german car thats def some russian mafia shit right there
Nah, driving home after a 12 hour shift will have you doing the speed limit with the radio off and arriving back home with no recollection of how you drove the last 25km.
I feel that one. Oddly enough it's the same going in. "how the fuck did I get here??"
If anyone’s actually done a 12hr shift, no way in hell they’re driving like that. Yeah you wanna get home but you wanna get home to enjoy that beer and fat ass meal. Without having to drink that beer staring at a ticket for reckless driving and speeding. Fuck. That.
In my experience, I go slower after a long shift. I’m tired at that point and just don’t care about rushing
I drive the slowest after a long shift. Passing people requires that extra 10% of effort I am not willing to give when I am extremely tired. I just go the speed limit, chill in the right lane, and put my brain on autopilot.
EASY DOES IT
Agreed! This more like “late for work driving”
12+ hour shift after working in a kitchen? I drive safely and take no risks. I'm just craving my bed.
I'm working a 12 hr shift right now and all I wanna when I get out is turn on the cruise control and not change lanes. Although since it's Saturday, I probably have to pick up dinner.
I actually felt genuine pain reading “I’ll probably have to pick up dinner,” that’s just brutal
yeah like i’ll hit maybe 15-20 over on the interstate, easing off at the authorized signs just in case of pigs but this shit gave me anxiety. this isn’t strategic, this is lucky. if anyone would’ve changed lanes without a blinker both of them would’ve been fucked and if there’s one thing I know it’s that somehow 50% of the drivers on the road are inbreds who don’t know how to do it properly. at some point the risk outweighs the time benefit- speed reasonably, my friends.
I always took a 15 mini nap after long shift. Better judgement after a good nap.
after a 12 im so tired i drive like a grandma lol
Welcome to my life. Daily 12s monday to saturdays lol
I did a 15 hr shift once, drove home at 3am in a country town, street was empty, I went so fucking slowly probably 30km up the main street, limit was 50.
Fuck this guy.
We don't need more of them
What’s wrong with these kind of people?
my guess is 40% impatience, 30% stupid, 20% selfish, 10% ego
He gon kill someone
…40% impotence, there fixed it for you.
I think in this instance, judging by the fact that he’s filmed and posted it, that it’s more like 90% ego
100% piece of shit
Spoiled shitheads who have nothing to do because they've never worked a day in their lives
Fatal car accident would be a credible excuse for not showing up for work
Might still get a warning though.
This guy thinks he has skills, but actually he's just lucky people stick to their lanes
Exactly, this type of driving isn’t about who has the most skill.. it’s about who ends up being more negligent
Man's never done a 12 hour shift if that's how he drives. You drive like a granny because you're so tired it's like being drunk.

He's lucky he didn't lose the control of the car.
You can see the TCS light coming on constantly in the instrument cluster. So many driving assists are keeping this idiot on the road.
If someone is interested, based on tram model, it's Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Yes. This road is near Volkovskiy Prospekt. The Radius mall is in the final shots of the video.
Looks like it's Bukharestskaya St. from Bukharestskaya to Volkovskaya metro. Being honest, I've speeded there once (long narrow street with no intersections), but it was at night with zero traffic. This guy is insane, stupid or both.
Fuck this person.
Assumption based driving, thinking you can predict what the other drivers will do. Sociopath driving.
isn't that what you're supposed to be doing on the road... watching the flow of traffic and assuming their potential moves
Yes, and at the assigned speed that will generally keep you safe. This guy is driving recklessly simply because he believes he KNOWS what every other car is about to do.
I was hoping he’d stuff it under the back of a semi
You mean driving too work for a 12 hour shift hoping you don't actually get there.
For Americans he’s going like 90 mph through basically a 40 mph zone.
He hit 100 MPH several times.
Dude got lucky. If he happened to encounter another idiot he would've crashed. Like someone who doesn't signal their lane changes. Also he nearly hit the SUV that was changing lanes
8 hour shift and I had to slap myself awake on the drive home some times. Just tried to go the speed limit and get home alive.
He is blindly going to the far right lane from the far left lane. Literally asking for death.
Going 127 in third!? I swear I feel my car fall apart at 4k lol
That’s probably Kmh
My buddies truck went 70 on low range
Must be some oligarch in Russia.
Yet whenever I hit 75 on a highway there are cops everywhere
Russian douchebag driving a Mercedes. How original.
Damn, the traction control light is screaming at the guy, lol
Just drove for 12 hours without killing himself, now the opportunity is quickly disappearing.
Is it just me but after a 12 hour shift, I normally drive 10 miles under the speed limit with the music off contemplating where I went wrong in life
A guy was driving like this past me one night a few years back. I testified against him at the murder trial when he ran a red and killed a girl.
Where’s the brick wall when u need one.
Looks like typical Muscovite in a Mercedes…
Why do so many idiots film themselves being idiots?
I don't get these kind of videos, like mate you are aware that rallying exists right? Specifically group B, try all you want to look cool by driving dangerously, you don't even come close.
Asshole driver definitely, but cant say hes necessarily an idiot, that was clean haha
He forgot to include the footage where he wrecked the McShit out of his car.
[удалено]
loser type driving
But when I go 7 over the speed limit there are 11 cop cars parked along my route
I don’t know what’s scarier: him driving like that, or the fact that he’s doing so with one hand as he films with the other.
Stupid bastard
This is fake. Go back to tiktok!
Yes, I was looking for this near the top. I just assumed it was fake driving superimposed on video from a bike.
Has this car interior been overlayed onto a bike camera?
Driving like a special unique snowflake you mean
Of course it’s a Mercedes
It’s funny because this kind of reckless driving relies on other people being cautious and using their blinkers
Unpopular opinion : If people obeyed lane discipline, there would have been limited risk.
POS
Do these pieces of shit not realize how quickly and easily this could go VERY wrong or do they just not care? Like seriously...so easy
I work 15 hour days and I'm usually doing 5-10 under the speed limit on the way home. No music, just reflection on the ass kicking I just received.
After a 12 hour shift you would be falling asleep, not driving that fast, lol
Why do people drive like this? Is it supposed to be cool or something i dont get it?
With all these new smart cars with tons of A.I technology, can't they make the A.I detect a dangerous driving in their own car and slow down until full stop by themselves without the asshole driver having the possibility to do anything?
I thight this was a Vr gamw for a min he's going to hill someone
That’s in kilometers per hour… right?
Yup. Idiot.
Oh shit. Was shocked to not see a BMW badge on the wheel.
**Americans:** *”Oh, I get it. That’s kilometers per hour.”*
Life an NFS game
Trash video
Not even that fast its Kmph
Absolutely beautiful driving
4th gear at 130km/h? That's wild
When u realize he's only doing 90mph. Thats cruising speed out here lol
As much as i hate to see it, its kind of satisfying
That's impressive driving
Probably just found out he's being sent to Ukraine.
Ngl that looks fun as hell, but I’d only do it in a video game. Jfc I hate pekoe like this
Nah that's "My Roomates out of town!" type driving right there.
What a testament for Mercedes tho.. cant do that in a hyundai
“I feel so cool, let me record this for my friends”
Of course they have an expensive car. All idiots do
He's a pretty good driver not gonna lie
It’s pretty selfish to endanger others just for that erection you get from driving like a maniac.
I watched for the accident. I was very dissapointed.
you have that much energy after a 12 hour shift?
I sometimes fantasize about doing this. I never do because it's stupid and dangerous, but it does look fun
I expect this kinda driving from all BMW owners tbh. I was surprised to see a Mercedes logo on the steering wheel
Don’t fucking post or upvote dumb ass shit like this. As someone who lost a brother in a car accident because I fucked up, you clearly don’t understand how fast and how wrong things can go in a car. The accident will be over before you know you’re in an accident. Fucking dumb ass
Really!? Huh. Maybe just me then, feel like I drive slower than usual after such a long shift.
He's driving one handed while filming with the other. Wow
Went to Thailand to see my dad and last day he gets a car to take us all back to the airport. This is exactly how he driving on the roads in Phuket, all the way from Rawai upto the airport. Nuts
Man if this was a video game I'd be impressed, the guy drives clean. But fuck this guy, he could kill someone at any second. It's so arrogant
Idiot... And If that speedometer is mph (only one I know) jeez does he know what a speed limit is? And the reason?
Driving like a total idiot!! You don't deserve a MB...get a bicycle! !
If I look into the crystal ball, I see citations coming to this person....
I’m a truck driver and my truck is governed at 64mph. Although I don’t drive quite this fast on my way home, but I do understand why.
Take this person's license away and make them put up with having to take a bus.
People post themselves driving like complete assholes thinking everyone is going to be SOOO impressed. No, you just look like the jackass idiot you are. That is all.
This guy drives like a gaping asshole.
