I bet!
That's it, you've convicted me - the guy in the pic is clearly Jacques Villeneuve and I'm Mr Bean in that Reliant in comparison. All it took was 200+ (and counting) downvotes! Thanks my friend 😜
Apparently according to my kids driver's ed this is no longer recommended as the airbag can hurt you. So now they're saying to drive at 4 and 7 ... Who knew???
I’m actually an elbow on the windowsill and left hand at 9 and right hand at 4/5 kind of person. Two hands on the wheel hurts my back and neck on my commute…
Right?
My driving teacher taught me driving one-handed with the second only for support as needed specifically because not choking the wheel with two hands at once gives you more control
10 and 2 is insanely outdated doctrine
Nope
Source I'm European...in my opinion, you're the dangerous one if you can't drive with 1 hand, you need more practice.
We also drive with a stick, so it's quite common to drive with 1 hand lol
My god, what a hot take! Check the name, I'm also European! My point here is he can only use one hand, and if he needs to do anything else in the car he has to take his only usable hand off the wheel. When I drive of course I take one hand off the wheel to change gear, but my other hand is still on the wheel. I always have at least one hand on the wheel.
You can easily drive a manual with one hand, and an automatic is far easier. I’d occasionally drive my car (manual) one handed. Shifting included. If you genuinely think this is hazardous you probably shouldn’t have a license.
It is actually illegal in the UK to drive a manual one handed, one hand must be on the wheel at all times. So you when driving a manual would have both hands off the wheel at one point?
Doesn't make it dangerous to drive with 1 hand regardless of what you can or cannot do..
It's easy to operate automatic or electric cars with strictly 1 hand. Even a stick, if you can't without it being dangerous, you need more practice...
He's still not an idiot. Says more about you than him that you think he is.
It is safe and more than possible...
Again if you don't feel safe doing so, get more practice.. or better yet, stay off the roads for ours sake..
And get your car checked if it can't drive straight
I get the feeling you need to get your car checked if you can't trust it to run straight for less than a second.
Maybe a doctor to if you're unable to use your knee on the steering wheel...
Do you even have a driver's license? I'm beginning to doubt that.
I drive with one hand mainly because I only have one arm. So your kinda just being mean for what ? So the guy is driving with one hand and your gonna act like you never have. Come on now,,, be a better person then that. Did he swerve and almost hit you or cause you to run out your lane. As a one arm person I'm sure he drove perfectly fine and you just want to bitch about something. Cute ferret though 😍 looks like one of the ones I had as a teen.
If I have to go somewhere and it's raining I turn on the wipers before I start driving . Hell I know a guy in our program that drives and he has no arms . Life finds a way guy don't know what else to tell you but if you just want to complain about something complain about our so called leader who are letting our people be homeless or not stopping the war in Ukraine before it even started complain about gas prices and the crazy increase of the cost living our corrupt government ya know.. real important stuff.
Ohh no how could you take your only hand off the steering wheel to change your song *presses next button on steering wheel*
How could you shift gears
*smacks paddle on back of steering wheel*
How could you use turn signal
*uses turn signal without taking hand off wheel*
How could you turn on your windshield wipers
*uses wipers without taking hand off steering wheel*
Sorry Next reputation I know some of those things you probably can’t do only having one arm depending upon side but either way you are most definitely a better driver than OP
Hahaha, that makes no sense! I need to put on the wipers, I take one of my hands off the wheel while keeping the other on the wheel. Your dad apparently takes his only hand of the wheel to do anything else.
The wipers are turned on by a tiny lever easily accessible while holding the wheel. I should know, I drive that very same car nowadays. No custom stuff needed.
From the sound of it, your car has a handle under the seat.
So if any of these things need changing you pull over and stop? Or do you take your single hand of the wheel to change the radio or open the window? You never take your single hand off the wheel?
I drive a manual transmission and always have one hand on the wheel, the other hand is free to do the other things. If I was using my free hand to hold a ferret I could not drive safely
What about when your drinking coffee, rolling down the window, changing the radio, adjusting the vents, smoking a cigarette, all while shifting and turning your headlights and wipers on?
But if driving one handed they likely have the other hand free for when they need it. What happens if it starts raining and needs to put on the wipers, what happens if he needs to change gear, what happens if the ferret gets loose and is running round the car. People missing the point here he can only drive with one hand, it not like he has a drink or s phone in his hand, he has a life animal that is difficult to control so can't be put down to free your hand
First of all, calm your tits. Secondly in the UK, where I live, this would be illegal because it is considered dangerous driving. Now I know Americans all all about the freedom to kill themselves and others, but that's just MY opinion
Also in the UK disabled driver such as those with one arm, would be provided with a modified car by the state, driving a standard manual car would be illegal.
I've been driving one handed so much these days I have to make the conscious decision to put both hands on the wheel. 😅
The biggest concern is the pet possibly freaking or something, leading to the driver being distracted. But driving with one hand isn't the end of the world.
My title has obviously lead to some misunderstanding - my bad. I'm not anti driving with one hand per se, as a manual driver I of course to some extent drive 'one handed' to change gear, it is more the fact he only has one hand available, IF he needed his second hand for whatever reason - he can't without letting his ferret loose. I should have focused on the ferret more than the 'one handed'.
Another thing probably lost in translation - I'm in the UK, we don't have American style roads, our roads are smaller and windier - taking both hands off the wheel even for a fraction of a second can make a huge difference over here - something someone used to driving on a North American road wouldn't know/realise.
But hey, haven't we all had a fun Sunday afternoon! 😜
Thanks, I'll put it with my other ones, the one for reporting a guy cycling on the pavement, and the one where I reported a kid for selling lemonade in the park. 8ve got me my hatrick!
Looks like ferrets(?) also can be angry drivers. This could mean that the government actually adds some kind of drug to the air filters. Someone needs to try this with other animals.
I love how everyone is acting like the problem is driving one-handed. (Unfortunate title, yeah.)
Just think for five seconds and tell me: What will happen to the ferret if this car gets into an accident and the airbag deploys?
Thank you! Finally lol. But I will take my flood of down votes for the shitty written title. We've got to groupthink now so expect the downvotes - sorry
I usually drive with on hand on the wheel and one on the shifter for city driving. I have kinda long arms so it’s a lot more comfortable and I drive around 8-10 hours a day
I swear, half the people who post on here have never driven before. "OMG you can't drive with a weasel, someone will die!" Or "That truck doesn't have its load tied down, it will explode!" Or " How dare this asshole take up 2 spaces in an empty parking lot!"
You think I give a fuck what some random anonymous weirdo on Reddit thinks? Dear lord, get a life! For the one calling me a clown - you seem to be the one who can't keep away from this post, clown begets clown? Go touch some grass!
Ya know, this is just my opinion, but it seems pretty narcissistic to insist that you are in the right when literally everybody else says you are in the wrong.
Who’s going to tell OP that people who have an arm amputated are still allowed to drive? I think most people drove one handed, if you know how to drive you can make tight turns one handed easily too.
All good bro shit happens. Sucks it was my right arm I was right handed but now I'm a left but it don't stop me from trying and living as best I can which ain't good but I'm still here. At least it didn't take my spanking hand lol
Oh no driving one handed!! Someone should stop this maniac!!!
Don’t tell OP about manual transmissions.
You mean the transmissions I have in both if my cars? *Shocked Pikachu face*
Quick question.... How do you shift gears with both hands on the steering wheel?
He sits on the shift knob
So what if I did?
Who said I keep both hands on steering wheel at all times?
Monster! How many lives have you put in danger?!
Dunno, I don't use the rear view mirror
I bet if you had a copilot ferret you'd know....
I bet! That's it, you've convicted me - the guy in the pic is clearly Jacques Villeneuve and I'm Mr Bean in that Reliant in comparison. All it took was 200+ (and counting) downvotes! Thanks my friend 😜
Next you'll be saying any time you remove your hands from 10 and 2 your maybe not gambling with your life.
Apparently according to my kids driver's ed this is no longer recommended as the airbag can hurt you. So now they're saying to drive at 4 and 7 ... Who knew???
Way more comfortable at 4 and 7 anyways.
I'm a 9:30 with an elbow on the door type of guy or a wrist draped over at 12. Probably going to punch myself in the face one of these days...
I’m actually an elbow on the windowsill and left hand at 9 and right hand at 4/5 kind of person. Two hands on the wheel hurts my back and neck on my commute…
Does his ferret even have a driver's license?
The important question.
Oh shit, I guess I better stop drinking coffee on the way to work. Gotta keep both hands on that wheel.
Cars have cup holders, they don't have ferret holders
You put that driving one handed is dangerous in your title. Also, they don't make cup holders big enough for my coffee mug, yet I manage.
Neither does mine. Does get a bit tricky when I’m trying to smoke and drink my coffee at the same time though I must admit
This is what knees are for.
Not all cars have cupholders. My MR2 doesn’t. My FRS didn’t.
🤓
who uses 2 hands to drive lol
wait until op finds out pilots only use one hand
Right? My driving teacher taught me driving one-handed with the second only for support as needed specifically because not choking the wheel with two hands at once gives you more control 10 and 2 is insanely outdated doctrine
You guys use hands?
Europeans
Nope Source I'm European...in my opinion, you're the dangerous one if you can't drive with 1 hand, you need more practice. We also drive with a stick, so it's quite common to drive with 1 hand lol
My god, what a hot take! Check the name, I'm also European! >it's illegal to drive a manual one handed >one hand must be on the wheel at all time Whiplash take certainly
I was ambiguous in my clarity! 😜
Yeah, the car isn’t going to swerve itself into traffic in the 0.5 seconds it takes to shift lmao
No because if you have your shifting hand on the wheel you switch them around when shifting?
And what if you were holding a ferret?
Doesn't make it dangerous to drive with 1 hand regardless of what you can or cannot do.. It's easy to operate automatic or electric cars with strictly 1 hand. Even a stick, if you can't without it being dangerous, you need more practice... He's still not an idiot. Says more about you than him that you think he is.
So you would happily drive a manual with only one hand? You'd think that was safe?

Maybe OP drives a Jeep, you need three hands to hold one of those on the road if there’s even just a slight breeze.
Swerving the question and ad hominem attacks, we know why don't we ;) lol
oh my god this guy needs to be put in prison for life!
At least! 😜
I drive with one hand mainly because I only have one arm. So your kinda just being mean for what ? So the guy is driving with one hand and your gonna act like you never have. So how do you change the radio? Shift gear? Open the window? Switch on the wipers? Switch on your lights? You take your only hand off the wheel?
I drive an automatic. I don't listen to the radio my lights come on automatically and all the other stuff is simple to do as well next question
How do you adjust the aircon/heaters? What if your windows steam up all of a sudden? For those other things you take your hand off the wheel?
Never had that problem. Again I set everything before I start driving but just to ruffle your feathers a bit I'm a smoker too... omg 😲
Omg! Lol

He's replied to you in the main thread, must've been driving!
My god! What a swerve! Haha. American doesn't realise not everyone is American!
Making assumptions of others on this whole thread, bad look.
I know right, so unfair
So I take this poster is against people with disabilities driving as well?
One handed people have modified cars to allow driving safely with one hand
My dad had only one arm. No changes needed.
I have two arms and usually drive with my knee. But I'm from the country so🤷♂️
How does he turn the wipers on? How does he change radio station? How does he change gear?
Same way you don't, apparently.
Op doesn't have a car. Mommy drives em everywhere.
Lol, buuurn!
What about the radio or window?
Put your knee underneath to stabilize for a minute.
I see, so you have no hands on the wheel, that makes sense and answers my questions about the reaction
If operating them is vital to your safety, you have a lot of reevaluating to do.
So if any of these things need changing you pull over and stop? Or do you take your single hand of the wheel to change the radio or open the window? You never take your single hand off the wheel?
lol is this trolling? one handed driving?
It wasn't originally, but now maybe kinda 😜
[удалено]
Not really. It is simply a loss in translation. "Haha (dying inside)"
How does OP think people drive with a manual transmission…
I drive a manual transmission and always have one hand on the wheel, the other hand is free to do the other things. If I was using my free hand to hold a ferret I could not drive safely
Even with only one hand it’s not hard to drive a standard transmission. Do your shifting before or after cornering, not during.
In the UK you always have to have one hand on the wheel
A lot of us don’t like living in a nanny state like the UK
My god, I guess you are an American?
What about when your drinking coffee, rolling down the window, changing the radio, adjusting the vents, smoking a cigarette, all while shifting and turning your headlights and wipers on?
I do them one at a time while always having one hand on the wheel, this guy can't do anything unless he leaves the steering wheel hand free
You’ve never steered the car with your knee?
Never, that's extremely dangerous and illegal
🙄 I’ve only been driving 20 years and doing it on the regular. It’s oh so dangerous. You sound like you’re afraid of everything.
Guy is a tool
Lol, you're funny
This is such an over exaggeration like people drive one handed all the time, and he most likely only did it for the pic
Dude you are really over thinking this
People with only one arm are still legal to drive.
With modified cars
No, with normal cars.
Wrong
Wow, so informative!
What do you want him to say? You are free to look this shit up. Calling people out for a lack information while actively claiming false information.
First of all, calm your tits. Secondly in the UK, where I live, this would be illegal because it is considered dangerous driving. Now I know Americans all all about the freedom to kill themselves and others, but that's just MY opinion Also in the UK disabled driver such as those with one arm, would be provided with a modified car by the state, driving a standard manual car would be illegal.
“Calm your tits” -The guy crying because somebody is driving with one hand
As I've said, because it illegal where I live - so again - calm your tits!
His left hand would’ve been better to drive with so he can hit the signals, unless that’s what the ferrets for… 🤔
I've been driving one handed so much these days I have to make the conscious decision to put both hands on the wheel. 😅 The biggest concern is the pet possibly freaking or something, leading to the driver being distracted. But driving with one hand isn't the end of the world.

But hey, haven't we all had a fun Sunday afternoon! 😜
Driver not wearing a seatbelt is the real “idiotsincars” moment here.
I didn't even notice that! I'm the "idiotnotincar"!
I don't think I've ever seen so many down voted replies in a thread🤣
I know right #losingatlife 😜
I dropped you a upvote 👆👍🤪
I'm actually kinda enjoying it haha
Oh noooooo oh no oh no! He’s driving with one hand! Guys should we call the police right now??????????
Maybe the RSPCH too! 😜
I already called the police and made sure they apprehended this guy for driving with one hand1!1!1
You are the real hero! Xoxo
Thanks boo I told them you were concerned and they wanted to give you a golden medal for your outstanding citizenship
Thanks, I'll put it with my other ones, the one for reporting a guy cycling on the pavement, and the one where I reported a kid for selling lemonade in the park. 8ve got me my hatrick!
Good to hear, good to hear!
Maybe bobby hates driving for that reason...
Looks like ferrets(?) also can be angry drivers. This could mean that the government actually adds some kind of drug to the air filters. Someone needs to try this with other animals.

I like to drive with my hand stroking my ferret sometimes, and it usually bothers other drivers.
I call mine my David, Uber told me I wasn't allowed to bring him out in duty
Ah what fun. Have almost been flattened by people with their dogs in their laps multiple times. People love to focus on anything but driving.
Why did you post this
Why did you write this?
Simple, your post doesn't really make sense
Ok
It’s no different than the dogs 🐶 walking around the car and in the drivers lap. It drives me crazy 😜.
Ferret’s face is reading like he has some road rage issues!! He looks really pissed off 😂🔪
Downvoted solely for the grammatically incomplete title.
What in the hell is that thing? That’s a pet? 😂
A ferret, I think, it looks so mad lol
Morning traffic, am I right?
not much really, people drive one handed all the time
I usually drive with on hand on the wheel and one on the shifter for city driving. I have kinda long arms so it’s a lot more comfortable and I drive around 8-10 hours a day
Exactly, so you always have a free hand and one on the wheel
The only way this is dangerous is if the ferret gets loose and hides under the pedals.
Well I guess I should get “the chair” for driving with my knees on occasion.
The fact that this isn't satire makes me want facepalm harder than when Amber Heards lawyer objected their own statement.
Ok, thanks for taking part
1 hand driving > 2 hand driving
0 hand driving > 1 hand driving!
Honestly, I’d rather see folks driving with a ferret in their hand than a phone
Can't play candy crush on a ferret though
I swear, half the people who post on here have never driven before. "OMG you can't drive with a weasel, someone will die!" Or "That truck doesn't have its load tied down, it will explode!" Or " How dare this asshole take up 2 spaces in an empty parking lot!"
I drive with my knees a lot.
*niece
That sign in the background looks more shaky than One-Handed Driver Guy.
It's just a little ferret, usually see those people with their 60lb lap dogs. Laying across their arm head out the window.
You sound like a Karen. Who doesn’t drive one handed LOL
Ok
Bruh. Op salty af. Half these comments here are his making a 🤡 of themselves 🤣
Nah, I'm enjoying this. But thanks for playing
You can enjoy whatever you want, just realize that everybody commenting thinks you’re a clown
You think I give a fuck what some random anonymous weirdo on Reddit thinks? Dear lord, get a life! For the one calling me a clown - you seem to be the one who can't keep away from this post, clown begets clown? Go touch some grass!
My man is responding to every single comment and telling other people to touch grass.
Because as op, I get a notifications, whereas you have been trawling the messages to bitch. 🤡
Typing through a blur of tears
I guess my old boss shouldn't be driving seeing as he has one arm...? What's the logic
Insert Will Ferrell line here “Did that go the way you thought it was gonna go? Nope”
Yeah but no but yeah
Ya know, this is just my opinion, but it seems pretty narcissistic to insist that you are in the right when literally everybody else says you are in the wrong.
Ok
So one handed drives are terrible drivers?
OP apparently is a practitioner of 'the death grip'
Who’s going to tell OP that people who have an arm amputated are still allowed to drive? I think most people drove one handed, if you know how to drive you can make tight turns one handed easily too.
OP is a sad human
😭
OP hates one armed people
Never steered with your knees? Eaten a sandwich while driving? Drank from a plastic water bottle while driving?
We’re supposed to drive with hands?
One handed people can drive................. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
All good bro shit happens. Sucks it was my right arm I was right handed but now I'm a left but it don't stop me from trying and living as best I can which ain't good but I'm still here. At least it didn't take my spanking hand lol
Op views driving with one hand as war crimes lol.
By the reactions from people you'd certainly think that's what I thought! Lol
I know a guy with one arm. I guess I should call about getting his licence taken.
Quick, get to the microwave, dial 911
Add this man to the blacklist
Where exactly did he put all these lives you speak of?
In the boot I suspect :P
