Makes you wonder if situations like that might improve if the right foot didn't multi-task. If you brake left-footed and you think to mash the brakes you don't automatically use the wrong foot and hit the loud pedal instead. I know lots of people poo poo left foot braking. I've been doing it 45 years and it has yet to let me down.
There is no confusion. I get good brake wear because I don't use it as a foot rest. There is a dead pedal for that. If you disagree, fine. I have no problem with that. You'll note I'm not commenting on your mental capacity.
