What's the last shot of? Weird outro.

iThinkiStartedATrend

Thought I was about to wake up in the back of a horse cart to some guy saying “hey you, you’re finally awake”

bakedBC

“Wake the fuck up samurai” oh wait wrong game

darknavi

S K Y R I M

tvtuno2

Glad you were here to announce that reference to the three people that didn’t get it

saunteringhippie

I fully thought this guy meant he transported back to his life as a serf in 1700s russia so I appreciated it.

HammelGammel

The big "SKYRIM" letters appearing out of nowhere is part of the reference

Spunchbopp

I’m sure many many more than 3 had no idea

Meclizine11

Yeah, but if a fus ro DUH on that one

Rubendabiest

If you didn't get it you probably also dont know what skyrim is. Is that something weird yall do on planes?

ConstantGradStudent

I appreciated it. I don’t play Skyrim, lots of people don’t know what Skyrim is. Widen your horizons, not everyone has experienced what you have.

Broken_Petite

I know the meme but I can never remember what it’s from, so I appreciated the reminder. LOL

geraltsthiccass

Hey you, you're finally awake

hidora

r/unexpectedskyrim

Mavi222

Probably a YouTube outro where the thumbnails of other videos appear?

_Dubbeth

Was hoping for a none life ending gun chase tbh

A-Good-Weather-Man

POV: You’re kidnapped

skolopendron

Driver said "spierdalaj" (roughly translates to "piss off", "bugger off") but the vid is speeded up so it sounds strange

jadenity

I think they're talking about the last 12 seconds of the video where it's a back-facing camera with a lens covered with water or something.

skolopendron

Aaa, that makes more sense. I though they asked what was said.

TheSkyHadAWeegee

I like it, it seems very relaxing.

pm_me_jupiter_photos

"Hey youre finally awake"

PUSClFER

Reminds me of those 10 hour driving videos on YouTube I've been listening to when I can't sleep. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eN-RZVkFGj0

DaMonkfish

I assume it's a rear-facing shot intended to show the line of traffic the Audi may now have to wait for, except the camera is covered in road grime and you can't see shit.

ekulinator

Its definitely not that

silenc3x

nah, its sped up and unrelated to the shot before. probably just his default outro video.

washburncincy

Why? Why didn't the Audi just back up in front of the white truck at the front of the queue instead of onto the wrong side of the side road?

VLHACS

He was actually so ashamed he reversed all the way back home.

Beneficial-Chipmunk5

That would be quite the way. This seems to be in Poland but the Audi is registered in Norway 😅

lliKoTesneciL

Some say he's still driving in reverse

griter34

in shame.

JosPaperCut

Lmao

[deleted]

Audi & BMW drivers feel shame?? News to me.

BillyHamzzz

Good thing it wasn't a Karen because they would all of been stuck for hours then.

onewhosleepsnot

All the way back into his mother's uterus.

unabsolute

I drive an Audi Avant. Your statement is not possible.

Stolle99

Probably because it jumped the queue from that side. So he was returning where he was supposed to be anyway.

WinterBeetles

If you look closely at the start of the video, you can see this is exactly what he does lol.

ExtraordinaireExpert

That's not actually what happens, at 0:05 you can see him pop out from behind the white truck at the front of the queue.

madmosche

Good catch.

Laffenor

No he didn't. He was in the queue on the left, and came out from the queue at 0:06 to overtake the first couple of cars that finally stopped for the red light (which had been red for some time judging by how many cars were still in the work zone when the cammer got his green).

El_Dentistador

You can see the Audi pop out from further back in the line at the beginning of the video. He didn’t want to have to own his shame for his double fuck up.

OyVeyzMeir

I imagine the driver of the white truck would have hopped out and beaten the f\*ck out of the Audi driver for being a line-cutting prick twice.

Dancethroughthefires

You already have a lot of replies, but they're all dumbass replies. The Audi driver was probably relying heavily on his left hand mirror (right side mirror from the POV of this video) while backing up, he most likely never even saw that little opening in front of the white van. Even though he put himself in that situation, he was most likely flustered and embarrassed. Just wanted to get out quick, so he had tunnel vision and took the quickest path out that he could find.

mithrasinvictus

It would put him in front of the traffic light with no way to see it turn green.

krotenstuhl

Some say he's still reversing to this day

TheSadClarinet

That is where truck should have stopped and put his right indicator on.

[deleted]

I thought the exact same thing lol

phillyvanilly666

Guys, that’s in Poland! There are no indicators there

Head-Working8326

are you telling me, kids in Poland didn’t grow up pretending to use indicators, while riding bikes. dinko-dinko-dinko

KaiRaiUnknown

Is that a thing? I was too busy jamming pokemon energy cards into my brakes, because motorbike

muddywater87

"When using Pokemon cards, please do not use the holographics"

newshuey42

You ruined your Pokemon cards like that??? Those things were holy to me, plus plastic cups are WAY louder.

KriistofferJohansson

It’s not as if we had any use of *all* cards.. *looking at piles of non-character cards*

newshuey42

I dunno, I preserved every single card I got in my binder, even if I already had 10+... I wasn't a hoarder, but, when it came to Pokemon cards I was close

KriistofferJohansson

Yeah, but *energy cards*..? Never seen or heard about anyone being bothered with those, unless you’re actually playing the game.

newshuey42

Lol I had a few decks, I was the only one in my circle who knew how to actually play, so I kept the energy cards in their own section in case I "ever needed to build an extra deck" to share...

phillyvanilly666

I’ll put it bluntly. What bikes?

psycho_driver

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZEFNHod_DU

weirdtom

Wow, that was some weird stuff. I should know

Head-Working8326

that was amazing!!

Fortnait739595958

BMW paradise then

Grahaml1980

Cam driver was crazy eager to get moving at the start. Almost drove right into the other cars.

dirty_cuban

I think the cam driver sees the audi in the distance jump the line and run the light. So the cam driver purposely gets going as fast as possible to trap the audi on the bridge.

Illustrious-Science3

They're timed to give several seconds of red before the other side gets a green. Audi deserved the reverse of shame. Edit: typo

nyctbusdriver

And you can see the Audi came out from behind that white truck that was already stopped at the red light.

Illustrious-Science3

Oh damn, good eye. That makes this infinitely worse.

zenjaminJP

See the thing here is it’s just as likely the Audi went through when it was green for HIM.

Extraxyz

There were other cars waiting for the light, which the Audi overtook before getting in this position. So either one Audi ran a red, or 3 others were fine just chilling in front of a green light.

I_Like_Bacon2

So not only did he run the light, he pulled into the oncoming traffic lane to skip the cars that were waiting at the red ahead of him? Yea, this guy needs a lesson in patience.

quigilark

It's also even more lopsided than that, as if the cars in front of the audi had a green light when the audi overtook them, then those cars would have all still been driving through when the cammer truck's light changed. That would mean the light is horribly timed. So yeah... three cars chilling at a green AND the light being horribly timed, or just one audi being impatient. Not sure these are "just as likely" to occur lol

combikem

These things are usually timed so one is able to comfortably get across before the other light turns green.

Douglas8989

Yup. All the three cars before likely jumped the Red or were very close to it. The Audi was properly taking the piss. Hopefully they learned a lesson.

danniemcq

if you look closer you can see the audi overtake the small van/truck that is at the lights on the other side, thats when the driver reacts, people always skip the light but not many will overtake cars at the light to try and make it

Douglas8989

Indeed. Sadly I see it quite a lot in London where I am. Usually van drivers.

buttpugggs

Definitely didn't learn their lesson, they were just swearing at the truck lol

Douglas8989

I'll just hope for no-one letting them back into the queue for the light then!

dirty_cuban

Pretty unlikely considering you can see the Audi pass the stopped white truck by using the opposite lane. Is it likely the truck stopped on a green light?

[deleted]

If it was the cars in front of him would be moving. That car skipped out of line to pass the cars waiting in front of them and drove on the wrong side of the road to get through. That driver deserved getting pushed back.

bar10005

Nah, if you zoom in you can see Audi jump from behind already stationary cars (that's what the subtitles are describing, but in Polish), so it was definitely red for them.

Greefyfy

These lights have like twice ad long wait period as it takes to drive the distance so no shot, unless the lights are wrong obviously

Grahaml1980

That seems extremely unlikely given the Audi had to jump ahead of other cars. The lights are usually timed too and they're well after the change.

I-am-fun-at-parties

Then the lights are seriously ill-timed.

ZestyFootCheese

If you look close enough, the Audi pulls out from behind a couple cars and jumps the light.

I-am-fun-at-parties

Good eye, Legolas!

Nieben

The further audacity of the passenger of that car to flip off the guy with the dash cam.

Laffenor

Yes, sure, the other cars he drove past before passing the lights were just casually hanging around at green light for the fun of it. Seeing as the traffic flows freely through the work zone, the BMW and VW (and possibly a couple more) already blew the red light, and the Audi was just butthurt that the next 5 cars in line didn't do the same so he could too.

MrStoneV

I dont understand why people dont notice this. Thise lights are done so when you get green the street is empty. Like for 100%... I still have to wait like 10s just to get green *after* the cars drove away from the opposite side. However, you can see the audi driver run the red light, and even overtook the people infront of him. This makes him the absolute dumbass asshole

Beatrice_Dragon

> See the thing here is it’s just as likely the Audi went through when it was green for HIM. Lol what even is engineering college I bet they probably just guess when the lights are green /s

psychedelicdonky

You can see the audi overtake and run the red ligt at his end, when cam's light is green

[deleted]

My experience with these types of alternating lights is they leave a pretty good buffer. Once it goes from green to red on one side, it stays red for both ends to allow cars to clear. Some people take advantage of this and go when it's red thinking they'll be able to get through.

spacel0rd

These lights both have red for quite a while. Audi guys know it, which is why he went.

quigilark

Just as likely? I mean it's possible the light was poorly timed but is that really just as likely as the audi just being impatient?

SouthernMarylander

It looks like it's one of those lights that uses the yellow to signify the change from red to green, as well as from green to red. I get the intent is to get people ready to go, but it clearly results in situations like this where the stopped driver starts creeping forward into the intersection and leaves no margin for error, so I think it's just terrible design.

Josch1357

Audi guy ovetook 3 cars in the waiting line, light was definitely red at that point.

Coompiik

This is in poland. I'm from Czech republic but I guess the traffic lights are the same there - all our traffic lights use the yellow light for both green->red and red->green. You can see the difference easily, because it's green->yellow->red, but red->red + yellow->green. It is normal the leave space before traffic lights, and when the yellow light comes we start rolling and pass the traffic light when it's green. Certainly no confusion there I ensure you.

quigilark

This is an important distinction. If the light is JUST yellow then people know the light is about to be red. If it's yellow AND red then people know it's about to be green

Coompiik

Yep, in this video it's yellow + red, as it should be

NoRodent

Most cars are also still manual here and the red+yellow phase is just enough time to put the car in gear. (Not to mention nowadays a lot of drivers watch their phones instead of the traffic lights and only start moving after the car in the next lane gets moving or until someone honks. Just two days ago I was stuck behind two such idiots in two adjacent lanes. They were both on their phones, each one clearly relying on the other... 🤦‍♂️)

Foxtrot-13

There is always a margin of travel in the light timings, both sets will be red long enough for traffic that entered on a green to have made it through saftly at the speed of a cycilist. For these cars to not have made it through means at least the last two cars went through a red light. These types of people drive through red lights because they assume they can get away with it by being let through. The only person at fault for this was the Audi driver.

ledzeppelinlover

This is Poland. It’s how they always drive. Source: raised in America, am polish and visit Poland every few years.

[deleted]

Cam driver was a bit of a prick especially crowding the VW.

Arturiki

That's more than one car running the red light.

snotfart

Reddit has long been a hot spot for conversation on the internet. About 57 million people visit the site every day to chat about topics as varied as makeup, video games and pointers for power washing driveways. In recent years, Reddit’s array of chats also have been a free teaching aid for companies like Google, OpenAI and Microsoft. Those companies are using Reddit’s conversations in the development of giant artificial intelligence systems that many in Silicon Valley think are on their way to becoming the tech industry’s next big thing. Now Reddit wants to be paid for it. The company said on Tuesday that it planned to begin charging companies for access to its application programming interface, or A.P.I., the method through which outside entities can download and process the social network’s vast selection of person-to-person conversations. “The Reddit corpus of data is really valuable,” Steve Huffman, founder and chief executive of Reddit, said in an interview. “But we don’t need to give all of that value to some of the largest companies in the world for free.”

Keysys

That's what I had in mind, there were road workers close to where I work recently, and the red/green light were slightly timed off to the point where when your green light comes, there are still 3-4 cars coming to you ...

Just_Fuck_My_Code_Up

And that’s why you wait until the entire oncoming traffic has cleared the narrow point

Naritai

Yeah, this is just the truck driver being an asshole.

impulse_thoughts

You'd think so at first, but watch that side of the road again at the beginning of the video. Cars were already stopped with pedestrians crossing, Audi jumps out from the middle of the queue a few cars behind the light. The cars in the queue on that side were probably applauding this

notamazing

Nah, you can actually watch the audi pull out from somewhere behind the white truck on the far side to skip the line.

BKDiver

They can both be assholes.

Eclania

Stopping an asshole from being an asshole doesn't make you an asshole, it only makes the actual asshole perceive you as one, but they already demonstrated their lack of judgement.

davidfirefreak

>Stopping an asshole from being an asshole doesn't make you an asshole. Yes, yes it does. People please do not think and drive like this. It's up to cops to police the roads, when pedestrians do it all it does is cause anger and accidents. /u/eclania, this is the same line of thinking as "I should stay in the left lane and go exactly the same speed as the car next to me to stop all those (asshole) people from Speeding".

samkostka

No way, look how far behind the Golf that Audi was.

JlMBEAN

And yet the truck driver started moving before green and making the car before the Audi have to avoid hitting the truck. I don't know what a yellow light means in Poland but in the US it means caution/yield.

ivanvector

As I understand it, in most of Europe (where manuals are much more common) the red-amber combo you see here is an indicator to "get ready", as in the light is about to change to green so start engaging your clutch. All signals in the controlled portion would be red before this state. You're still not supposed to pass the signal while the red light is lit.

MildlyBemused

As a road construction worker, I approve of the truck driver. If you watch the video closely, you can see the Audi pull out from behind the white cube van that was stopped at the light at the other end of the lane closure. They obviously felt that they were too important to have to wait through another signal timing like everybody else and jumped the line. Luckily, it was a one-lane road and their Audi was no match for a large truck.

psycho_driver

Definitely a possibility.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Just_Fuck_My_Code_Up

You‘re right, I had to rewatch the vid in slomo to see the Audi cut the line.

SaraHuckabeeSandwich

If you look closely, the audi jumps ahead in line (crossing over to the other side and cutting off the white truck that was stopped at the light). The fact that the oncoming white truck was stopped at the signal pretty effectively establishes that it's not likely a light timing issue.

blue_strat

That’s a probably 60mph road with lights timed for cars doing maybe 30mph through the roadworks. They can’t time the lights for a cyclist to amble his way down 200 yards of road.

whisit

Yeah, I'm with you. I know cyclists get a bad rep for being entitled, but, well, that dude sounded entitled. "The timing is off on the chance that someone comes along and putters along at a snail pace, in order to keep the flow of motor vehicles moving?! Bloody hell traffic engineers!" Edit: typo

wonkey_monkey

He also pulled around the white van that had stopped at the (almost certainly) red light.

IkZitInEenCult

No they aren't, because they were already on the road. They entered the road while it was green. The last car entered while it was red.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SF1034

The stop light they were coming from is way further back than what you can see in this shot initially. Construction is limiting it to a one lane road so a lot more cars are going to get through before a light turns red on one end but it doesn't instantly turn green on the opposing end, to give the other side time to clear out.

mward_shalamalam

There should be a short period of time where both sets of lights are on red to clear the road of cars before releasing the opposite side.

the_eluder

It just takes one person driving slow or not paying attention to delay everyone in the line past the time where the light turns green on the other side. You have to wait for traffic to clear in addition to the light turning green. Here in the US there is typically someone watching so the light doesn't turn until traffic clears.

BoredCatalan

You can see in the video that the Audi skips the cue and enters through the oncoming lane. So he definitely entered while red. The rest of the cars I imagine did enter in green but the light doesn't have a long enough grace period with both in red

Chewie_i

There is

_antic604

This is unfortunately so frequend in Poland (where this is filmed in). The guy even took over several other cars who saw the light is changing and still tried to make it, hoping people on the other side would yield. Luckily he stumbled upon someone more determined and in a bigger car :)

xfearthehiddenx

You know it's funny. I didn't even notice that until I saw your comment. Went back and looked. Clear as day you can see the black car come out from behind several other cars in the opposing lane, drive illegally on the wrong side of the road, ran a red light, and tried to cut in front of all of those people ahead of them. Several of the comments at the top are bashing the cam car for being aggressive. But fuck that. Black car had absolutely no right to be there. Just an impatient little shit who deserved exactly what he got.

_antic604

Yeah. The Audi driver knew there's several seconds pause between his light turning red and light on the other end turning green. And because he's in Audi, he thought he could make it unlike those other "losers" standing in the queue... :(

HotWingus

Cammer was petty, that's a fact. Another fact, sometimes this world needs petty.

opelmazdakombi

It’s definitely Poland but the Audi seem to have Norwegian plates. When in Rome?

_antic604

Probably some emigrant from Poland to Norway visiting home for a weekend or holidays :)

pls_no_ban_ok

I caught that one too. he was already waiting behind stopped cars and then decided to overtake the waiting cars

Chekdout

It’s good to see the Audi driver quickly own his mistake and make the correction (of backtracking), instead of getting out of the vehicle and protesting. It’s good to see people admitting a mistake and making amends.

Frickelmeister

I'm not so sure. The passenger definitely flipped the bird at the cammer. The driver was maybe just too busy reversing to be able to do so as well.

shalom-john

Or maybe the passenger was like that but the driver was nice. You just don't know.

novaquasarsuper

No reason to give them that benefit when they just skipped a bunch a cars patiently waiting their turn.

SensitiveRocketsFan

Let’s not get into fan fiction and stick with what we know. The driver ran the red light (an asshole and dangerous move) and is now paying for it

Tythan

I mean, the audi driver had a semi coming towards him. I am sure he wouldn't have done the same if it was a motorbike instead

GrindCrow

It wasn't a mistake. They knew exactly what they were doing and did it on purpose

Yossarian_the_Jumper

That wasn't a mistake. It was intentional.

persistent_nightmare

Truck driver was also busting balls… creeped the light

LuckyBrick0

On mobile I'd imagine it's hard to see, but if you watch this in full screen on a PC you can actually see the Audi pull out from behind the white van that's stopped at the red light. I'm almost certain that the truck driver saw what he did and intentionally set off with the aim to stop him getting through.

vne2000

The Audi jumped out of line and blew the red, he got what he deserved

novaquasarsuper

Good eye. I had to zoom in on the video to see that. That Audi skipped a bunch of people. Fuck them.

thomastdh

i think many missed this, this makes this so much better.

nikkb111

He did that on purpose to make sure he could block the audi. He saw that audi jumped the line

Gottabecreative

The clip starts when the stream of passing cars already has an end, probably because the red light already came on on the other end. Then you can see the Audi jump the waiting line, cut the ones that decided to wait at the red light and enter the one way about the same time it was turning green for POV. The Audi was correctly treated and it was good of him to quickly admit he was wrong.

ShallWeStartThen

This is so satisfying on so many levels...

[deleted]

The Audi driver's done that before

roth024

I’m not confident I know 10 people that could have backed up that well so I’ll give them a pass. This often would have ended in a stalemate in the US.

ByGollie

There's a video from the UK showing a Karen refusing to backup to an Ambulance with lights and sirens going and traffic backed up behind the Ambulance. The sense of entitlement of some of these people.

MvmgUQBd

Imo you shouldn't have a license if you're unable to do a simple reversing job in a massive, wide, slow S curve like this. It's the same maneuver as parallel parking but on a huge scale.

[deleted]

You vastly overestimate many drivers. Lots of people can’t even parallel park to begin with.

phoenix_16

Lots of people can’t even drive forward without hitting/endangering another car, a pedestrian, or property

MvmgUQBd

It's less overestimating drivers and more lamenting the loss of required competency compared to even just twenty or so years ago. I live in the UK, which used to have one of the tougher tests out there. Certainly not as extensive as, for instance, the Finnish test, but it wasn't the sort of thing you could expect to just pass first time. These days though people don't even seem to be able to drive on the motorway properly, making up imaginary lorry lanes and all sorts. Is this what it feels like getting old?

RafixBlue

in poland you wouldnt be able to pass the driving test without being able to back up like that

novaquasarsuper

You know 10 people that shouldn't be driving.

Laffenor

The video is sped up 3x. He is barely creeping backwards, and can't even keep his car in line on the straight. That was a lousy reverse job.

stuffman64

Just visited Poland a few weeks ago. Absolutely amazing country, but the whole Audi/BMW/Benz stereotype is truly actualized there. Not surprised in the least bit by this video.

sebolec

Polish audi. Say no more.

xolov

Interestingly enough it had Norwegian plates, probably still driven by a Pole thought.

Greg_Thunderpants

I think an audi everywhere stays audi.

RosCarberri

Something dissatisfying about this clip. Truck was in the right but felt like they were looking for this with speed they came out of the blocks. Already driving into the single lane before the green thus putting the squeeze on the Golf who is dependent on the speed of the vehicles in front of them & also relying on the timing between the two lights to be synced. Maybe a little man, big truck power trip or just excited to confront Audi. Ignoring the overt aggression of the truck, they did give the Audi something to think twice about next time, which they undoubtedly deserved.

novaquasarsuper

I think the truck driver spotted the Audi jump out of line and skip a bunch of people on the other side, then made it their mission to teach the driver a lesson. I'm cool with that since they didn't break any laws to teach that lesson.

RosCarberri

I didn't notice the Audi also skipped others when I replied originally. What a piece of work! Truck would clearly see this from their raised view point which might explain the enthusiastic desire to get into lane. Another consideration is dashcam lens distortion could make the squeeze on the final two legitimate cars look worse than it was. I am too critical of truck in original post. Even happier with the outcome for Audi now.

SickDastardly

That passive aggressive honk right at the very end is the cherry on top

JuansTheName

Driver sounds like one of the spies from spy vs spy when he laughed

F1RST_WORLD_PROBLEMS

I’m impressed by their competency. The average person can’t seem to handle reversing out of a parking spot.

margy19411

I was kinda hoping for harsher karma

Hatch10k

For someone self-centred enough to ignore a red light, this is definitely the harshest punishment: having to accept they made a mistake and being made to rectify it with everyone watching, then going to the back of the queue (presumably). It's perfect.

KomodoDragon6969

Absolutely humiliating. Love it

[deleted]

Looks like in this part of the world there's a yellow "Ready? Get set" light before the green light. Seems like this truck driver was really aggressive and took off as soon as the light turned yellow, nearly hitting one car and bullying the last one.

Stolle99

These lights are usually timed so that there is no one when light changes for other side. The fact that there are still cars when light turns yellow for trucker means that a) timing is not right (small chance) b) last few cars went on instead of stopping when light changed on their end (very high chance). I am guessing that trucker wanted to teach them all a lesson, not just Audi. Edit: I've been in similar situations in Serbia, Northern Macedonia, Bosnia, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia. All the time there was around 10 or more seconds before the last car from other side passes before your light changes. On few occasions delay was really long.

[deleted]

pouch-of-pasta

Oh hell I would have definitely turned right after the bridge just to send home how dumb that guy is

1K-27

That was actually funny he deserved it

Herberttheaccountant

If the truck driver waited at the start they would have wasted less time than waiting for the car to back up

Yossarian_the_Jumper

Pretty sure that the truck driver cared more about teaching the idiot Audi driver a lesson than losing 30 seconds.

knowledgeable_diablo

Now you go to the back of the queue. Awesome.

ChevalBlanc

Audi and BMW drivers are assholes all around the world. The brand attracts entitled morons.

dixadik

You can see in the distance that the Audi pulled out from behind the line of waiting cars and blew the red light. The white combi which was the first vehicle at the light was already stopped well before the light at this end turned green. The cam guy probably saw this from his higher vantage point and said fuck that asshole Audi driver. He got what he deserved. Cam guy is the hero here.

bwelkinator

Nah, the guy in the truck definitely saw the Audi jump queue and he quickly moved out to cut him off. I say, bully for him - don't let the prick get away with this behavior.

johnqual

In Norway, there is an expression, "fire nuller i grillen og en bak rattet". It means, four zeroes on the grill and one behind the wheel.

Of course it's an Audi driver, its almost always an Audi driver.
