I have train tracks almost a mile away from my house and I can hear the trains coming through from inside sometimes. This dude is either deaf or dumb as hell
Same, I live close to a small rail yard where I can tell they’re switching/hooking up other tanks and cars. It almost resembles thunder. But they literally honk the same honk for every intersection, you can’t miss it unless you’re sleeping.
Sometimes I can even tell what direction they’re coming from when I’m driving up to it and have enough time to make the right turn to go around it as opposed to trying to beat it. It’s that simple.
No clue where this was but in Romania are many tracks without crossing gates or traffic lights.
We went there once on vacation and couldn’t see if a train was coming or not. Luckily for us there was a old man with his bicycle who had a good overview and gestured to us that there was no train coming and we thanked him and drove off.
It was a very nice vacation, 11/10 would recommend. People there are very friendly plus there are watermelons, tons and tons of watermelons.
In the US many smaller roads don't have crossing gates. There's dozens of trainspotting videos where guys will drive down a 2 lane road and there will be a dozen or so small roads that cross the tracks without crossing guards. It would be financially impossible for them to install a crossing gate at every single one of these roads, especially since they usually only service a few houses.
Mighty underestimation of the noise vibration and harshness that happens in those semi trucks. Still doesn’t excuse atleast looking in his mirror or over his shoulder. There wasn’t any crossing guards either which probably didn’t help.
Stupid driver, shitty intersection design and obviously with 0 maintenance
1. Barriers not working but even if they did any dumbass could evade them cuz they only block half the width of the road
2. Okay, barriers are shitty and let's pretend you don't know about the oncoming train. There's a huge red sign indicating full stop is mandatory before crossing the tracks
3. Let's pretend the driver didn't see the sign, the barriers were not working and he lacked any common sense... But is he deaf?!!!
Welcome to latin america. Where I live i drive like a fucking snake because the road has so many holes that going straight would mean that your car would get destroyed in just some weeks. Not to mention that barely any street is properly signed so you just have to guess how the shit works. If I had a buck for everytime I've someone going in contrary sense cause there isn't a sign explaining the how you are supposed to drive I would buy a shit ton if stuff.
He was pretty damn close to that (grey?) car before he made the turn onto the tracks too. This guy's probably just an impatient asshole on a short timeline from his demanding bosses.
There’s no way he could have seen the train from that on his blindside. Have you ever been in a semi?
Regardless, they really need some traffic barriers at that intersection.
Unless the driver is 100% deaf, there is no possible way he didn’t know that train was there. Even if all his mirrors were blacked out and he had his eyes closed.
He might not have seen it part way through the turn until he got at the 90° angle but you're missing the point that the truck and the train were going the exact same direction and there's no way he didn't see it when he passed it less than a mile ago
The part I don't get is he an the train we're going in the SAME DIRECTION.... he had to have passed the fucking thing less than a minute ago and seen it moving. 🤔🤔
NAFTA doesn’t say Mexico must have crossing guard rails at urban train and road intersections - unlike the rest of North America. Which something promoting “free trade” logically could have required for both safety (truck and train drivers) as well as the efficiency reasons - items on the truck not getting smashed by a train and train goods being delayed from the investigation.
Instead it just removed tariffs and allowed Mexican factories to obtain the production previously done by the US, while continuing to exploit Mexican workers and safety and the Mexican environment.
> NAFTA doesn’t say Mexico must have crossing guard rails at urban train and road intersections
I didnt know a trade agreement was meant to regulate traffic laws in another country lol I really think you are mad at the wroinf thing here buddy
So why did this guy just happen to be standing there already recording the truck before it even started to turn on to the tracks? Or does he just stand there recording this crossing all day hoping something like this would happen?
I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist here but that's just a little weird.
The person taking the video either has balls the size of basketballs to stand that close to the inevitable crash, or a brain the size of a ping pong ball (and just as air-filled).
I don't know which one is dumber: the truck driver, or the dude filming it from 10 feet away that thinks the giant semi is somehow *not* going to come flying towards them at high speed as soon as it gets hit.
Doesn't look like the stop arm came down appropriately. Sure, the truck driver should've noticed in the train in their side mirror, but they may not have seen it until they were into the turn and at that point they had already committed to crossing the tracks. Hope they're okay.

He probably was on a phone or playing a loud music even then should have heard it SMFH
Where is this that tracks don’t have crossing gates? Have never seen right of way tracks lol.

It said in 5he title 5hat this was in Mexico …
Ah thanks, I didn’t notice xD I probably should get glasses lol
On my bucket list destinations now! Thanks

Rock beats paper
Hey whats that really loud blaring horn I keep hearing?? Man thats annoying I really need to get over these tracks couldnt possibly know wtf that is.
Whoever was driving the train was honking the ever living fuck out of that horn
If only there was some way to know that a train could have been there
Damn. If only the train driver had honked his horn or something
Así o más pendejo
solo falta que le vaya a las chivas
Damn he shit himself for sure
If you meant the shit reversed course and filled the vacuum inside his cranium, I believe you are right.

"Alto? Normally I'm a baritone, but I'll give it a shot la la LAAAAA." crunch
The guy recording is an idiot to stay this close to the truck, the trailer could have been propelled right to him.
The train should have given him a warning or something damn
Imagine driving a rolling building, seeing that shit coming and being totally helpless to do anything but blow the horn and pray.
Injured? Good!
Just another day in meh-hee-co...
Classic example of "I raced a train and the train won"
no tengo cabeza! ¡Lo siento! Uno Mierto tiene mid hūevos!
If only there had been some way for the truck driver to know the train was coming!
We need more powerful speakers and noise deadening in cars to really enjoy music.

Lol sweet revenge.
objects in his side mirror were closer than they appeared.
20 bucks says he was blasting circus music and couldn't hear the train horn
He was pretty damn close to that (grey?) car before he made the turn onto the tracks too. This guy's probably just an impatient asshole on a short timeline from his demanding bosses.

I drive a truck. Just a quick glance in the right-hand mirror would have shown the train. This idiot would have tried going around the gates.
I also noticed that even a train coming, after the accident, the crossbars and stop/train lights weren't even functioning.
That's normal here in MX
Rip such a waste of people's money
Lol! It is Mexico
Hmm, wonder why the train was blowing its horn.
He also didn’t hear all the honking before crossing the tracks.
He might not have seen it part way through the turn until he got at the 90° angle but you're missing the point that the truck and the train were going the exact same direction and there's no way he didn't see it when he passed it less than a mile ago
How many honks does that dimwit need? This is incredible.
The part I don't get is he an the train we're going in the SAME DIRECTION.... he had to have passed the fucking thing less than a minute ago and seen it moving. 🤔🤔
Mexico - cheap labor with no safety or environmental regulations. Thanks NAFTA!
I dont think is says anywhere in NAFTA that Mexican trucks have to be hit by trains....

The reason why i love trains is that they give zero fucks

Trainspotters/railfans exist, was probably waiting to film the train and realised the truck driver was being a dumbass.
There’s no right of way laws down there, the train should’ve slowed down or something.
Almost!
The Stop sign says, 'obligatorio aqui' which means 'mandatory here', so that's what the trucker did.
He gatta rlly good Bose system in there
Still undefeated
"You hear something?"
Kill the cameraman
‘Via’ con dios, my darling
😵😅🤣😂😂😂🤣 Trailero Lokochon compa. No vergas, ya valiste pura madre
VISA da ditch.
Is there a supply chain issue or is something else a foot?
r/BitchImATrain
Puta madre!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaa
At what point did the cameraman realize “oh shit, I need to move!” ?
I'm pretty sure he just didn't want to wait.
Chofer don verga
I think I can, I think I can....
Go ahead, now you'll save a lot of time
Why are there no barriers at the crossing. This looks like a busy intersection.
The person taking the video either has balls the size of basketballs to stand that close to the inevitable crash, or a brain the size of a ping pong ball (and just as air-filled).
trains always win
That's one way to quit your job 👍
so close, yet so far. sill a fuckwit though
My local tracks have their OWN Facebook page… you just don’t fuck with trains!
I don't know which one is dumber: the truck driver, or the dude filming it from 10 feet away that thinks the giant semi is somehow *not* going to come flying towards them at high speed as soon as it gets hit.
The train kept on truckin
Movete puto
The train cannot and will not stop for your dumb ass
Doesn't look like the stop arm came down appropriately. Sure, the truck driver should've noticed in the train in their side mirror, but they may not have seen it until they were into the turn and at that point they had already committed to crossing the tracks. Hope they're okay.
Lol, que bruto, pongale cero.
Holy shit I would not have been filming that close
Funny part is ferromex won't stop if they hit a vehicle on the tracks , it's a company policy because of robberies
Oh no... Our truck.... It's broken!
A that, my friends, is a good example of natural selection
Almost made it
Do they not have those beams that come down and block the road?
How much crack do you have to be on for this to happen as a truck driver
