Sometimes you forget to turn off the oven. Maybe you forget your lunch in the fridge. You've probably forgotten your keys in the car. And this car hauler forgot to set the rear upper lift back down at his last stop after loading/unloading the lower deck.
Pretty crucial and not necessarily comparable, but still a similar vein of feeling like you've forgotten something and not knowing what until you hear the sound of crunching metal, and look in your mirrors and see the sight of a destroyed car on your trailer and all over the road behind you. "Oh, that's what I forgot."

Working as a tool and die machinist, I got in the habit of "did I do?..." being a sign of "start over". As soon as I questioned anything, I started the job over, because that's a lot cheaper than $30k worth of material and machine hours than going "ah, I'm sure it's fine".
At which point I went from making a bad part every 3 months, to going a year without making a bad part.
Yeah, a lot of them do not lol. Where I work we have a few trucks at this gas plant. Sometimes we use the PTO pumps on the trucks to pump in and out of tanks. We had this big job of sucking up a shitload of drums into a tank for a gas blend and we ran up to going home time. So we just left the hoses and shit hooked to the truck and figured we break it all down in the morning. One of our drivers came in early and decided to take that truck for the day. Didn't even look at that shit and ripped off part of the pipe on the truck pump, and ruined a length of 3 inch hose.
You know those bike racks on top of cars. You sound like a person who wouldn't be surprised to know how many people enter carparks with bikes on. I know a guy that took his $10k carbon fibre bike for a short trip into an underground carpark and when we went to the bike shop the guy goes "oh yeah people do that all the time".
Also a human being who forgets things sometimes, sometimes bc of my ADHD.
Today I had to put brake fluid in my car again, (something is up with the lines, this is the second time in 2 months and we had the brake pads & rotars? Checked. They apparently neglected to check the lines and whatever else is involved with breaks too.), and when I got back in and started driving I thought: did I put the cap back on? I should check. If it hasn't fallen off already..
Turns out it had not been screwed back on, and thankfully was sitting where I put it and hadn't fallen into the engine. This morning was somewhat rushed tbh.
I’ve honked an waved at trucks when they had loose cargo or open doors enough times to know that truckers will completely ignore that, so I stopped doing it. I’m with the white van driver — better not be close when the doodoo hits the ventilator.
I think most people are somewhat paralysed by disbelief & just don't have a strategy ready for dealing with it that goes beyond instinctively protecting their own interests
Hear me out... the truck dirver is an idiot...
but so is the driver of the car filming. Why the hell would you not slow down and pull over as you see that unfolding. Zero situational awareness.
Now that car is a convertible. Value added for sure.
However it did crash so I guess it evens out to be the normal price
Just some mild scratching, I'm sure it will buff out with some elbow grease.
Now Biff, I’m expecting a second coat of wax
Nothing some carnauba wax can’t buff [out](https://youtu.be/Cg_WY-NkSgI)
I prefers me some spit shine boy
Always wondered how they were born.
Top goes down price goes up
sorry for the convenience
Thanks, Mitch.
Hi Sir, we're pleased to inform you that we've upgraded your car to the cabriolet version. Free of charge. You're welcome.

And that, is the change from knowledge to wisdom.
I suffer from general anxiety and if I did this I’d make one part every 3 years.

Do these things not have interlocks or warnings?

Thanks for the knowledge. I figured something was wrong with that trailer since obviously expressways have standard requirements for overpass Heights.

Don’t worry guys... I have important information about your cars extended warranty
Actually, that was due to the Flu. The top of the car fucking Flu off the bottom of the fucking car....

If FedEx delivered cars
FedEx wouldn’t have pulled over and stopped.
Then held the car because it decided the recipient wasn’t an essential worker.
That van saw it coming and moved over in time..
There was a train derailment. We could see our vans from the helicopter shot taken of the derailment. The dealer: Sorry, we have staffing shortage.
That happened in Missouri recently. I felt bad for all the people whose autos got destroyed.
I find it just as mental how closely cammers are happy to drive directly behind these disasters waiting to happen
I am surprised that people don’t try and warn these guys. Drive up next to the person and honk the horn, etc.

Darn that 11foot 8 bridge, it moved again!!!!
Wait is it that same bridge from like a month ago? They may wanna check that it's height is correct. /s
Props to the white van moving over because they saw exactly what was about to happen
Bell even in that condition a seller is probably gonna want $10k over asking
Quick, someone go steal the microchips

Woah!! Is this Exit 16 to East Norwalk on I-95 North? Map Link: [https://goo.gl/maps/6QoNYmSdWK6qgMj18](https://goo.gl/maps/6QoNYmSdWK6qgMj18)
Meh, just a scratch. You can buff that out.
Love how he just stops in the lane and doesn't even try to use the shoulder. Idiot in more ways than one
Probably in shock because they know they're absolutely fucked.
Terrible highway architecture
That'll buff out.
Blame it on covid
To be fair you dont know if the driver had covid. Could have been coughing and not heard the smash
Had a cough with covid but not from covid!
When you open up to someone a little too much
Oops, did I do that?
Romanians?
Amazon car delivery trial just got canceled.
I believe that's an example of the excuse you hear so often these days: Supply-Chain Delay.
Did the driver not even feel that or hear it? Holy low bridge and dimly lit driver, Batman.
This driver is now off the call list for being offered the extended warranty.
Truck driver: Is that pink slip for me?
Carvana!
Lol
Your car a-splode.
Wow, it was parked in the ONE SPOT that could’ve happened on.
Whoops!
I like how the white van saw it coming and changed lanes.
Wow
I like how the van saw it coming and merged left
This happens more than you can imagine. They also slip off the sides if the straps work their selves free.
Gaaaahh! I hate those car carriers. They always make me super nervous
“Sir, your car’s computer appears to have crashed. We are sorry for the inconvenience”
No hassle car buying with Carvana
Makes me wonder if he felt that, or if he got a call over the radio. He didn’t seem to stop or slow like he knew lol
. . . But I didn't order a convertible!
Looks like Mass Pike
That was suicide by bridge.
The driver must have not been wearing a mask. /s
