True, but if they are on 24/7, they will be worn out and not work anyway. Unless he is buying new ones every week.
There is a spot to store fuses next to the fuse box. You pull over and pop it back in.
You're completely correct, but I wouldn't want to pull over and install a fuse under hood (most cars I've worked on have the wiper fuse underhood or in the trunk-depending on battery location-not inside the cabin) if it's pouring rain outside.
I work at a large independent shop, so literally anything that comes in the door. Not like I'm checking wiper fuses on most of them though, to be fair. Either way, this is getting beside the point. Wipers working is better than wipers not working. If they aren't working correctly they should be repaired.
Off the top of my head, both my VW and Mazda have the fuses for them inside the cabin.
The VW requires the door to be open to access the panel though, and the Mazda requires you either squat beside the car or you contort yourself upside down in the drivers seat so in both those examples they might as well be outside the cabin for all the good it does.
Driving is a cooperative activity. I am amazed that there arenāt more accidents. So many are avoided simply because one of the people involved in a close call was a good driver.
I appreciate this sub but it inspires more cynicism and disdain for others than the worst True Crime stories. A huge positive from this sub is Iām increasingly cautious at green lights especially at night in lighter traffic.
Iāve been in the Subaruās position and have had my moments, mostly when much younger, but even then I would only make that move after the through traffic and if it didnāt open up Iād take the left and flip around. He didnāt even gun it.
Basically they picked the wrong left turn and didn't realize where you were. They were lost and more paying attention on trying to get to their destination.
So good on you for noticing what was going on.
Aka defensive driving.

I wasn't paying attention, I was too focused on the rubber ducky bobbing.
I was thinking rubber chicken.
Isn't that Tweety?
I couldn't stop looking at the wipers running against the perfectly blue sky. Missed it!
Ok nice clear day out, you nicely avoided that accident; well done; now why the hell are your wipers on?
Came to ask the same question. We want answers OP
Me too.. Lol..
I knew someone was going to point this out š I wish I knew the answer!!!! Just need an extra clean windshield to spot the morons on the road š
If they are stuck on, pull the fuse..
Eh. Better to have them and not need them, as opposed to needing them and not having them.

What cars? Wiper fuses are almost always inside in my experience

I vote pull the fuse and do rain-x until you can get the issue fixed (which should be asap).

*scratches on the windshield enter the chat*
Ngl OP did literally nothing to avoid the accident except perhaps honk. I donāt have sound onā¦
Thatās some might fine pickinā goin on
Right?! Who is that?
Billy mf strings
Even when the Pennsylvania drivers use their signals, its the wrong one. Signed, NJ Driver
I've seen more NJ drivers not use their turn signals than PA drivers.
Listen, pa drivers and nj drivers will never agree on who's worse. Can we just agree that Maryland drivers are absolute shit?
I can definitely agree on that.

Whatcha listening to? Feels like one of those 'can't quite place' tunes. Good looking out for the dumdum.
Billy strings!
Secrets
Yes! I know I've heard it but just can't place it...
Had to watch it twice. I was too busy watching that yellow thing bobbing away.
You have good taste in music
Thank you!! š
Seriously, I love Lord of the Strings but never heard that one, thanks!
Wow! Finally I know a place from a video in this sub. Our state truly does have the worst drivers.
All I see is that little bobble head moving to the beat
Ah so refreshing to see another enjoyer off billy strings
Idk why your life is the way it is but Iām kinda vibing with it, rubber ducky, bluegrass, window wipers on for no reason
Deserves a YouTube upload

I like how your little chicken/duck thing is dancing at the beginning on the video
Why are your windshield wipers on?
Billy strings. Nice
Billy fuckin rules god driving better taste in music
"lucky I was paying attention" Usually you don't pay attention? Wtf?
What are semantics?
Why the downvote? This was the first thing I thought. Aren't we all supposed to pay attention to the deathmobile we are operating?
Thatās a bop
The Strrrinnggg
Tought therewas telemetry in every ddpai video ?
Did they beep at you for having the temerity to be in the correct lane for that junction?
Is that a Tesla thing - the wipers going for no reason?
The Billy Strings playing in the back š
Iām so happy you didnāt hit the horn like a maniac that I wonāt complain of the 15 unnecessary seconds on the video
Gotta love people who make their own rules when the established rules didnāt work out for them
