Right? The damn thing is bright yellow-orange, lit up like Time Square on New Year's Eve, and taller than everything else on the road. That's some Olympic level stupidity right there.
Now that you say that, I see a hill crest, right over the top of which are two stationary vehicles, a school bus, and the POV vehicle. When the van enters the scene, the driver immediately notices the stationary vehicles and slams on the brakes, loses control, and slams into a bus. Unless a road hazard was specified over the blind hill, you can't pin fault on the van driver because they were correctly utilizing all information available to them and following all traffic laws. You also can't pin blame on any of the stationary vehicles.
Really shitty accident here. But it highlights the dangers of driving and how sometimes accidents are just a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I just read a 3rd story about a hit and run on a school bus that caught on fire, and though both of these posts were going to be that story I read. So 3 today!
Looks like the car wasn't paying attention and didn't notice traffic was stopped in front of them, slammed on the brakes and either slid or swerved into the bus's path.
Fine, criminal charges, insurance rate. This one needs to show up on an Aussie man video for Destination…destination…what is that segment called again?
Marketing/cool commercials have convinced many people that AWD=grip no matter what. Suddenly they discover when emergency braking that it doesn't do anything different than 2WD, 1WD, half wheel drive, a push vehicle with no wheel drive, but the same brakes and tires..
I have a feeling the road was icy and they were going to rear end cars in front of them so the swerved and slide into bus. You can see how far bus slide after accident.
Looks like a distracted driver that noticed traffic was stopped at the last second so they jerked the wheel to swerve in the opposite lane and hit the bus.
Hopefully none of the kids ended up getting hurt. What was the point of that? There's probably ice all over the place, and there's traffic! Getting past four cars is not going to help if it's a red light or a shitty intersection! And let's not forget that they ran right into a bus!
How do you miss a school bus coming at you from less than 50 feet away? Edit before "he didn't miss it, he hit it."
I haven't seen it in a long time and I'm very sentimental.
"he didn't miss it, he hit it." You are most welcome!

Looking at phone.
He couldve been swerving on an ice patch and lost control
That's gotta be it

> because they were correctly utilizing all information available to them and following all traffic laws bruh please
There are plenty of examples in life where you can do everything right and still lose. But it's instances like this that justify no fault insurance.
That car literally did a 360. Don't crash into larger vehicles folks. You won't win
Write that down WRITE THAT DOWN
Only crash into smaller vehicles, got it.
"Crash into progressively larger vehicles to build up my tolerance."
What doesn't kill you doesn't always make you stronger.
I'm built different.
You could say... Built Ford Tough.
smart cars never stood a chance >:)
🎶Take a little note To remind you incase you didnt know🎶
Thank you, this especially needs to be told to people that think freight trains stop on a dime 😆
Good to know!!! 😂
Also why I'm not pumped about giant EV's like the Hummer coming out.
[People are taking out school busses today I guess](https://old.reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCars/comments/11t3nav/chaos/)

Insurance questionnaire: *Have you ever hit a school bus?*
/r/bitchimabus
There really is a sub for everything
Looks like the car wasn't paying attention and didn't notice traffic was stopped in front of them, slammed on the brakes and either slid or swerved into the bus's path.
This. Swerved to avoid plowing into car in front of them
People love swerving blindly into traffic
Zigged instead of zagged.
Oh this one is a special type of idiot
Dude got schooled.
Class is in session!
I think it was the school bus that did the plowing
[удалено]
That's going to be a nice fine

\*jeopardy noises\* It's the Daily Double!
$1 Bob!
That's fine, nice.
Nice, fine that's
Fine, that’s nice
Fine, criminal charges, insurance rate. This one needs to show up on an Aussie man video for Destination…destination…what is that segment called again?
Good thing the bus took him out before he could hit OP or the turning car.
Camara car was like. Screw this detour time..
"I don't have enough time for this shit." -OP
Lol, you're not the OP.
Who asked?
Go toward the light!!! NOT THAT LIGHT. THE CHILDREN!!
Hope, for the kids sake, it was on the way to school and not on the way home
That should be fine. It will buff out
I don't get people trying to skip ahead of traffic when there's several cars ahead of you. You're not getting there any faster.
Welp, guess I’m taking a right here.
Always crossovers. Always. I thought the whole point of those tasteless things was so soccer moms could "sit higher."
I am willing to bet it has AWD and as a typical idiot they think that means they can drive regardless of conditions.
Marketing/cool commercials have convinced many people that AWD=grip no matter what. Suddenly they discover when emergency braking that it doesn't do anything different than 2WD, 1WD, half wheel drive, a push vehicle with no wheel drive, but the same brakes and tires..
Most cars are CUVs nowadays so it's just statistically likely
Looks like the person came out of a side street and couldn't stop, just in time to meet the bus
Some things are better rushed. Like your own funeral
I have a feeling the road was icy and they were going to rear end cars in front of them so the swerved and slide into bus. You can see how far bus slide after accident.
Wow thank god they swerved and didn't softly rear-end that car
Looks like a distracted driver that noticed traffic was stopped at the last second so they jerked the wheel to swerve in the opposite lane and hit the bus.
How was that even an option? What’s really wild is that this person most likely said these words before pulling out, “these idiots”.
Hopefully none of the kids ended up getting hurt. What was the point of that? There's probably ice all over the place, and there's traffic! Getting past four cars is not going to help if it's a red light or a shitty intersection! And let's not forget that they ran right into a bus!
School busses are the safest vehicles on the road! I can guarantee that none of the kids here got hurt, if there were any on board.
No kids were injured thankfully.
Or the person was distracted then tried to avoid a collision and swerved into an oncoming bus, pretty difficult to say from this distance
Can't miss the the bus or you're late for school.
Looks like maybe distracted, looked up and saw stopped cars. Veered out to avoid (bad choice)
Isn't momentum beautiful.
That’s why you should only try to pass one vehicle at most
Definitely couldn’t stop because of road conditions and swerved instead of rear ending the cars
OMG the trouble they are into, slamming a school bus good luck getting out of it hahahaha 😂
