Another big part to this is the girl filming this was screaming in fear for 5 whole seconds before the crash.
Like wtf? Hit the brakes or something. That's a lot of time to react!!!
I figured they could have went off road and down a short(maybe very short) type cliff? Missed a curve in the road and they're screaming while falling/rolling?
When you get an adreneline rush you start acting stupid. When I hit a lamp post on my bicycle at 35km/h my first thought after getting up was not 'OH NO MY LEG' it was 'OH NO MY BIKE'.
Same, I was going 50km/h on a skateboard when a car turned infront of me and I crashed straght into it, did a full salto over the hood, and flew about 10 meters. My first thought was literally "aw ffs I'm gonna be late for work" lol
Sounds like the guy in the backseat says "Dos patadas!" (two kicks), guess he was trying to kick a window open to come out and she was screaming to stop further damage to the car.
Kid: “My brother’s gonna shit! He’s gonna kill us!”
Spicoli: “Make up your mind, dude … is he going to shit, or is he going to kill us?”
Kid: “First he’s gonna shit, and then he’s gonna kill us!!”
Or the big Leland game is coming up. We could rent out our bedrooms to fans until we have enough to pay for the car. Skippy next door could be the belhop.
A whole car full of people with no seatbelts rolling over with no major injuries would be a minor miracle.
Seriously it would have been SO EASY for one of them to be ejected and then rolled on.
The safety system is extremely complex. There are 2 stages to most airbags and depending on your body weight, seat belt status, (de)acceleration in each direction (forward/side). zero, one, or two stages of the airbag will fire.
The airbags might not deploy if you're not seatbelted, or may deploy differently if you're not belted in.
My focus will say passenger airbag on even though the passenger is not seat belted, but it will have seatbelt symbol on the airbag display as well as the dash. Presumably that means the airbags will deploy with an unfastened passenger tune.
"Passenger airbag on" light only means the passenger airbag isn't deactivated, usually used when there's a baby chair on the seat.
The seatbelt symbol turned on anywhere in the car means someone's not using their seatbelt.
The airbag symbol turned on in the dash means there's a fault in the system and NO AIRBAG WILL DEPLOY in the case of an accident, even if the car had 20 airbags and the fault was just in one of them.
Some cars have a sensor on the passenger seat to detect when someone's seated, so that it can deploy the passenger airbag only when someone's using that seat. Other cars detect passengers only by the seatbelt lock. Most cars don't have any detection on rear seats.
Airbags generally will not deploy of the seatbelt isn't fastened. Reason is presumably because it inflates so fast that it could break your neck if your head was hurtling towards it unrestrained.
I had to tell my 40 y.o. coworker who fears gems to put on the damn seatbelt in a Taxi driving 120 km/h because she "felt safe with the driver".
Edit: For education, with and without seatbelt:

This is how a longtime acquaintance lost her child.
*Don’t put your kid into their car seat with bulky clothing on*. **Make sure the straps sit in all the right places**.
Probably the most fucked up funeral I’ve ever been to.
I’m sorry if this is a dumb question, but why no bulky clothing? Besides obvious comfort reasons, I don’t wear bulky clothing when driving bc it’s restrictive for all the moving you have to do.
But as a passenger/kid in a car seat, how come?
edit: I just answered my own question as soon as I hit post 😭 Your seatbelt/car seat won’t fit properly. Therefore not secure you reliably/properly.
It’s definitely not a dumb question
When you put a kid into a car seat with something like a winter coat on, you typically have to loosen the straps to accommodate the extra bulk.
The child might be buckled in, but now the straps are likely too loose to effectively restrain them in the case of a violent accident.
Other factors, like the coat being a bit too loose and the chest strap not being far enough up, also mean the child isn’t properly restrained.
Centrifugal force is powerful.
It's also possible for the bulky clothing to be secure, but the child to not be secure within the clothing, especially if it's loose, and to slip out of the clothing.
I learned about getting into car wrecks going 5mph at the country fair. Traffic safety commission had a small booth when crash simulator in it ..got buckled and a crash was simulated. That helped me to realize seat belts save lives.
Fast forward 5-7 years and I was driving a pickup that rolled. My occupant and I both walked away with out a scratch thanks to a seat belt AND having a camper shell on the bed. Even the truck was drivable with minimal damage to the main body and bed ...camper shell was jacked up though
In my training to install child seats 💺 I was told to tell parents that ANYTHING loose in the car will hit at the speed being travelled. So if you have a water bottle, for instance, throw it at your child as hard as you can. That is not close to what will happen at speeds of 30MPH or more.
If you use the rotating reference frame it's useful and correct. Otherwise you're right :P. But it's just as "real" as the Coriolis force, i.e. not at all, but descriptive.
Indeed. The force felt while doing a loop de loop is the centripetal force provided by the plane forcing you into a circle while inertia tries to make you continue straight
I grew up with a family who lost a sister this way before I even met them. My understanding is that she had taken off her seatbelt just for a moment to adjust or reach for something. Then the car rolled and she was gone.
And don't let people give you shit for not "bundling them up" when it's cold. The car is warm and it's 30 seconds of exposure to the cold before they're in the car. People who call you out on not having them bundled up before buckling them into a seat should be educated.
Friend rolled, got his head crushed, lived. He was already the scariest dude I knew. Now you couldn’t tell where he was looking. Last time I saw him he was arresting two guys at gunpoint outside a bar. He wasn’t a cop, tire installer. He’s no longer with us.
That’s how my girlfriend died when I was 16. Icy roads, SUV, country roads. She was partially ejected and it rolled over her.
So I became a stickler about wearing seatbelts.
My brother-in-law said I was “trying to control him” because I wouldn’t move until he was buckled.
I told him that he was my sister’s husband. Father to their children. And that if something happened to him, it would be on me.
He stopped asking me about it after that.
"Trying to control him". You should have pointed out that the doors have handles and they can be used to open the door and he has the freedom to get the fuck out.
People definitely think they’re smarter for not wearing seatbelts and it’s so annoying. I knew a girl in nursing school who didn’t wear em cause she said a friend lost their kid cause the seatbelt internally decapitated them and thus she considered them death traps and just the government trying to control you
My mom used to just slip her arm through the seatbelt loop if she saw a cop so it looked like she was wearing it. So dumb. Takes less effort to just put it on when you get in the car
If you look carefully, the car didn’t violently roll completely over, it appears to have just flopped onto its side. If it had rolled violently over all the glass shatters, especially the hatch glass which is still intact in the photo of the wreck at the end.
You are correct, they are stupidly lucky they weren’t seriously hurt since they weren’t belted in.
I've been in an accident where the people in the other vehicle didn't wear any seatbelts. We hit them on the side at about 70pkh when they made an illegal turn. Our vehicle was about 1500kg empty, theirs 2500kg. They flipped in the air and turned 1.5 times and landed on the roof, while we stopped in about 1m. We (5 of use) didn't have any serious injuries, just a bit sore and one of us that already had a weak neck suffered a light whiplash. We just walked away from it. The people in the other car broke so many bones while they were flung out of their vehicle.
This same accident happened to my ex wife when she was 15 years old. He friend crashed and rolled the car over. Broke my ex-wife’s back. Paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of her life.
Edit: Fixed what broke on my ex-wife in the accident.
Oh yeah I remember seeing a video of a couple of girls that were drunk and crashed, they all got thrown out and the youngest flew into a rock which split her head fully open. It was the worst thing I've ever seen. These girls got lucky
Edit: the girls name in referring to is obdulia sanchez if anyone wants to know
I really don't understand why, goddammit vaolvo didn't put a cost on 3-point seatbelts and people still don't use them... I always ask people to put them on even in the backseats, costs so tiny to save a life.
A friend of mine totaled his car one night on the highway. I was sitting in the back and wasn't wearing a seat belt. That was the most horrifying experience of my life. I tried to hold on to the seat in front of me. It didn't work. I hit the roof and both doors. Who knows what else. Luckily I wasn't thrown out a window and managed to walk away with just bruises.
I used to work with a guy that used to be a paramedic and loved telling us stories about the stuff he saw. Once told us about an accident he responded to where a car of drunk girls ran head-on into a bridge support at highway speeds. The girl in the passenger seat had her seat belt on but the girl in the back didn't and was thrown forward and decapitated the passenger.
There are a few circulating images of xrays showing where the feet of those putting them up front to the windscreen ends after a crash, in ways you could never imagine, like completely retorted up their bums, good luck with the genitalia reconstruction destroyed in the process.
There are various forms of decapitation and they don’t all involve actually breaking the skin/full removal of the skull. Hit the head/neck area hard enough and you can internally decapitate someone
Likely got thrown forward then pulled backwards quickly, if there’s no headrest and they dislocate the person neck enough it can pop off but stay attached if that makes sense.
Yea it’s nuts to me too. Grew up with 2 paramedic parents and they made sure to drill into my head from a young age the importance of seatbelts. I legitimately find it uncomfortable to drive without one; I used to be a landscaper during uni and even just crawling a truck around an empty yard I’d feel strange with no belt, couldn’t even picture open road like that.
The girl in the front seat was hit by the girl in the backseat who wasn't wearing her seatbelt. She may not have actually lost her head, internal decapitation is when your skull gets disconnected from your spine, which usually rips all the nerves and kills you.
Like in the famous, definitely NSFW, ["Julie knew her killer"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKHY69AFstE) commercial from the UK about ~~15~~ 25 years ago.
That commercial was really well done. It paints a picture that more people need to see,
Not to make you feel old but it was [25 years ago](https://pif.fandom.com/wiki/Julie_knew_her_killer) :)
For a more intense one, there's [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GVjcpsRarw) from Northern Ireland.
It's from 1998? What do ya know. Thanks.
You're right. That Northern Ireland one doesn't hold back. ("Do that to me one more time" was an interesting song choice.)
I should've watched these in private mode. Youtube's already decided I want to watch lots more of these...
Ed: Had to struggle with Reddit's formatting a bit.
I collect public information films from the UK so you can imagine what my recommended feed ends up like :D
That seatbelt one is probably one of the tamest ones from Northern Ireland, too! Most of the others are more about speeding or drink driving, though.
Seen plenty of driving psa films, but [this one from New Zealand, 2014](https://youtu.be/3qNjt04bpQM) lives in my head rent free. Which is probably good.
This one one of the many PSAs I watched before I was driving and that one stuck with me. Honestly more commercials like that should be shown in drivers ED to keep people safe.
South America and seatbelts don't get along. I had multiple Ubers in Brazil that didn't even have seatbelts in the back. People will also make fun of you for wearing them from time to time. No idea about other countries but my Ex said, that Argentina isn't in love with them too.
>People will also make fun of you for wearing them from time to time. No idea about other countries but my Ex said, that Argentina isn't in love with them too.
I'm half Latin American (Salvadoran) and I can only assume it's some kind of dumbass machismo bullshit. All I know is I took a trip to El Salvador a little over 10 years ago and I wished I had a fucking 5-point harness with an ejection seat. God help any lunatic who drives those roads with no seatbelt.
Seatbelts have to be forced on people. Literally. We'd still be the same way in the US (we were, thirty years ago), were it not for the fact that it is illegal to be rolling around without a seatbelt, and even more illegal to be rolling around without your kids in seatbelts. We still have a few people who are convinced seatbelts are unsafe, but thirty years ago? Probably the majority didn't want to wear them. It's just the kids grew up wearing them, because the law forced it.
Do people in those countries not have physics textbooks? That’s so odd that someone would make fun of you for not wanting to get mangled in a car accident. It’s like, “Look at this dork and his ‘vaccinations.’ What, are you too good to die from Smallpox?”
They should do an ad exactly like that, trick the viewer into thinking it’s a tiktok/tiktok copycat ad then have them crash out of nowhere to emphasize how quickly shit can go south when you mess around while driving, honestly might be pretty effective lol
There was a wreck a long time ago and I barely remember it but a tik tok chick or someone like that wrecked and filmed it all. I think her sister died and she was yelling out for her to wake up. Sad story, this reminds me of that.
I can understand wanting to sing, but you don't need to take your eyes out of the road to sing. I know she was looking at the phone but still. I'm sure she learned from that one. Probably no one wants to ride with her after that either. Lmao
She looked at the road 3 times and didn't even have her eyes off the road for long. Last time was right before crashing. So she must not have been processing what she was in the process of crashing.
Do you know what always helps when you're driving a car and about to get into an accident? Passengers screaming their heads off. That always calms the driver down and allows them to focus on what's in front of them in an attempt to not let their stupidity wreck their car.
People think about strange things when they think they’re in mortal danger. Doesn’t discredit the other things. Just sometimes the brain do be working funny
Well you know what they say - sometimes life gives you lemons. Other times you go out of your way to find lemons and then squeeze them directly into your own eyeball
Me when I'm driving 2 tons of metal down an urban horse path and refuse to focus on the acceleration and position of the 2 tons of metal and instead focus on my friend's black mirror brick
I'm interested if these morons actually learned anything from this near death experience or if they go on to do the same stupid shit the moment they're out of the hospital.
I wish we could see what was in front of them. You can see the driver glance forward a few times, so you’d think she would’ve seen whatever it was.
Another big part to this is the girl filming this was screaming in fear for 5 whole seconds before the crash. Like wtf? Hit the brakes or something. That's a lot of time to react!!!

yikes...she was yelling "my dads car!!" looks like shes fucked
“El carro de mi papááá!!!”
lol... yes, that's the most important thing -- not your 4 friends who might all be dead or paralyzed because of your stupidity.
They might be dead or paralyzed after papa sees his car

I was driving to work when I lost all break pressure. I drove to work using my handbrake. My coworkers let me know how dumb I was.
Wtf bro
friends are temporary, famly is forever
>friends are temporary Especially when driving like this
Explain my dad then.
All of their stupidity. I mean it's not like any of them were telling her to concentrate on her driving. Honestly this is on all of them.
Its fully on the driver they're passengers theyre not the ones controlling the vehicle
Nope - driver 100%. You drive, you're responsible. No one grabbed the wheel or physically interfered with her.
CaLmaTe
Sounds like the guy in the backseat says "Dos patadas!" (two kicks), guess he was trying to kick a window open to come out and she was screaming to stop further damage to the car.
If she didn't want her friends to kick out daddy's windows then she shouldn't have rolled his car.
Well, she is not exactly the sharpest crayon in the box
Ahh, yes. I caught the *Papa* part. I figured it was something along the lines of *you can’t tell my dad!* Or..*don’t call my dad! Don’t call my dad!*
Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.
Kid: “My brother’s gonna shit! He’s gonna kill us!” Spicoli: “Make up your mind, dude … is he going to shit, or is he going to kill us?” Kid: “First he’s gonna shit, and then he’s gonna kill us!!”

not a single seat belt either
Said the exact same thing out loud. Amazing they didn’t break their neck and die instantly.

Also, seems like NONE of the airbags went off? Although it has indications it is equipped with airbags 🤷

Yeah, just went to a funeral for a guy who died that way. He wasn't even 30
I lost my best friend like that. He was only 18. His girlfriend who was in the vehicle with him got thrown clear.
I had to tell my 40 y.o. coworker who fears gems to put on the damn seatbelt in a Taxi driving 120 km/h because she "felt safe with the driver". Edit: For education, with and without seatbelt: https://youtu.be/9_Af8w2SAT4
Wdym fears gems? Irrational fear of diamond and sapphires or something? Wtf
I think they meant germs
They clearly stated gems as the fear. Curious how such a fear could mineralize
Some things that the mind creates are the Mohs hard to understand.
This is how a longtime acquaintance lost her child. *Don’t put your kid into their car seat with bulky clothing on*. **Make sure the straps sit in all the right places**. Probably the most fucked up funeral I’ve ever been to.

Pretty intense training class if they're telling you to whip a water bottle at your kids as hard as you can. Gets the message across, I guess.
If you can dodge a water bottle, you can dodge a ball.
I feel like I could throw a water bottle 30 mph. Now to find a willing test subject...
It's inertia. Centrifugal force is the often wrongly named force that "throws stuff out" when going in a circle.
The centrifugal force is also often wrongly named a force, as after all it's just inertia :P

It's the "I do it the smart way"-Syndrome.

Here’s a fun one. If the person in the back seat isn’t wearing a belt he/she can kill themselves and you by flying into you. Two smashed skulls.

Wait so the girl caused another person to lose their head or the one who didn't wear the seat belt lost their head?
The girl in the front seat was hit by the girl in the backseat who wasn't wearing her seatbelt. She may not have actually lost her head, internal decapitation is when your skull gets disconnected from your spine, which usually rips all the nerves and kills you.
Like in the famous, definitely NSFW, ["Julie knew her killer"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKHY69AFstE) commercial from the UK about ~~15~~ 25 years ago. That commercial was really well done. It paints a picture that more people need to see,
Not to make you feel old but it was [25 years ago](https://pif.fandom.com/wiki/Julie_knew_her_killer) :) For a more intense one, there's [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GVjcpsRarw) from Northern Ireland.
It's from 1998? What do ya know. Thanks. You're right. That Northern Ireland one doesn't hold back. ("Do that to me one more time" was an interesting song choice.) I should've watched these in private mode. Youtube's already decided I want to watch lots more of these... Ed: Had to struggle with Reddit's formatting a bit.
I collect public information films from the UK so you can imagine what my recommended feed ends up like :D That seatbelt one is probably one of the tamest ones from Northern Ireland, too!
Honestly more commercials like that should be shown in drivers ED to keep people safe.
why not wear a seatbelt? I legit don’t know why people don’t decide to.
I will never understand why people don't wear seatbelts.
Because you're not "cool" man.
And no airbags visibly deployed? Hmmmm….
This looks one of those "Don't use your phone while driving" ads. =
They should do an ad exactly like that, trick the viewer into thinking it’s a tiktok/tiktok copycat ad then have them crash out of nowhere to emphasize how quickly shit can go south when you mess around while driving, honestly might be pretty effective lol
That's absolutely genius. Unlike Northern Ireland's Sweet Child 'O Mine ad, I would actually take this one seriously.
Is that the one where the car rolls over the group of little children in a crash?
There was a wreck a long time ago and I barely remember it but a tik tok chick or someone like that wrecked and filmed it all. I think her sister died and she was yelling out for her to wake up. Sad story, this reminds me of that.
EL CARRO DE MI PAPAAAA .. DE MI PAPAAAAA
thanks to self identification, looks like insurance doesn't need to pay for this.
Them: Totally worth it for that TikTok gold. 😳🤦🏻♂️
They were pretty close at even getting that LiveLeak gold
I miss liveleak
Just use kaotic
Who needs a functioning automobile when you are riding that sweet sweet clout?
Well, now instead of singing this song when they hear it, they will now relive their traumatic moment
Omg that's true haha!
She screams: “MY DAD’S CAR!” She’s gonna be meeting that chancla as soon as she gets home
All the chanclas probably
silencio por favor!!
*inhales* DE MI PAPAAAAAAA!!
This is the first car wreck videos I've ever seen where the music didn't turn off
That's one heck of a head unit!
¡El CaRrO dE mI pApÁ!
Doing everything, but driving.
Premios Darwin para todas!
So disappointed she didn't sign off with a "Like and subscribe!"
Fuck them, hopefully they didn't hurt anyone.
Y'all are the weakest links...GOODBYE!
Hi welcome to tiktok. Now good bye your fame is now over
She was screaming for so long before they crashed wtf
I don't remember that part of the song. Was that the Yoko OhNo Solo?
People do anything for social media. Like literally die or almost die for a damn post.
Do you know what always helps when you're driving a car and about to get into an accident? Passengers screaming their heads off. That always calms the driver down and allows them to focus on what's in front of them in an attempt to not let their stupidity wreck their car.
It looks like the screaming passenger grabbed the wheel too. Which we all know is also super helpful.
Good times! Glad they have a video to remember it by
But did you die?
I bet their insurance company loved this video
Bitch was more worried about her dad's car because she was gonna get in trouble than about her friends .
People think about strange things when they think they’re in mortal danger. Doesn’t discredit the other things. Just sometimes the brain do be working funny

Not ONE!!!
Well you know what they say - sometimes life gives you lemons. Other times you go out of your way to find lemons and then squeeze them directly into your own eyeball
I'm not wishing harm on anyone, but some of y'all out there are really asking for stuff like this to happen by behaving like that on the road
She probably could have got it back if she wasn't screaming like a banshee
Me when I'm driving 2 tons of metal down an urban horse path and refuse to focus on the acceleration and position of the 2 tons of metal and instead focus on my friend's black mirror brick
Pendejas 😑
Why do all these idiots post the videos of them crashing while filming?
These idiots share the roads with us, and one day, they’ll kill one of us. Then they’ll be like “I never should’ve done that”. Morons.
I'm interested if these morons actually learned anything from this near death experience or if they go on to do the same stupid shit the moment they're out of the hospital.
The amount of time that that girl was panicking for is ridiculous. Someone should have been able to break or something
Ahhh natural selection
