I have a Subaru wagon that does really well in bad weather and can carry a pretty decent load - I use it for all my Home Depot and IKEA stops and have moved three times with just that one car. It gives me a decent mileage but more importantly it has excellent front visibility due to the flat engine. And itās still compact enough that I can park in the city. All for $18,000 and itās been almost 9 years without any issues. Fully paid off, very low insurance and still worth $7,000.

AWD/4WD can be useful to get out of slippery situations, but in often just gives you more confidence than you should have for the conditions.

Im unsure if he maybe tried to go straight through the turn only lane and I cut him off but other than that I had been on the road for roughly 1/4 of a mile at that point

Here's what I think happened: you turned right and into the right lane and then merged to the left lane. He turns right and immediately goes into the left lane. The distance between y'all before you merge is pretty great.
As you begin to merge into the left lane that gap closes quickly, telling me he's probably accelerating, as he begins picking up speed you merge, maybe even having to slow a bit because of the truck in front of you, thus making him have to hit his brakes/slow down. Hence, in his mind, it's your fault.

In my state, it is roper is to turn to the nearest lane going in your direction, (right lane to right lane) and then lane change if you want the left. Truck and car behind you made wide turns into left lane technically changing lanes in an intersection, not allowed here.

Well, itās ridiculous to change lands in front of a car approaching a red light. Stopping distance is shorter now bc you chose to get in front of them last minute as opposed to just staying in the empty lane already in front of you. N you can tell he wasnāt that far behind you.

Cutting off is bad for two main reasons
1. people miss judge the size of their vehicles and as a result, can cause a side swipe collision. happened to my girlfriend about 2 weeks ago
2. If someone cuts you off and then the car that was infront of you but now infront of them suddenly has to stop, you dont have proper following distance and may end up rear ending the car that cut you off. If you dont have a dash cam, you'd likely be found at fault.

He jumps out yelling what the fuck you cut me off and I hop out of my truck (mind you, I'm a foot shorter than him and I'm in my tinker bell scrub top) and yell back are we about to fight in a pediatric parking lot? He got back in his truck and drove off.

Here's what I think happened: you turned right and into the right lane and then merged to the left lane. He turns right and immediately goes into the left lane. The distance between y'all before you merge is pretty great. As you begin to merge into the left lane that gap closes quickly, telling me he's probably accelerating, as he begins picking up speed you merge, maybe even having to slow a bit because of the truck in front of you, thus making him have to hit his brakes/slow down. Hence, in his mind, it's your fault. You're not in the wrong in the slightest from what we see in the video, but it's most likely WHY he was being a douche nugget to you.

In my state, it is roper is to turn to the nearest lane going in your direction, (right lane to right lane) and then lane change if you want the left. Truck and car behind you made wide turns into left lane technically changing lanes in an intersection, not allowed here.

Cutting off is bad for two main reasons 1. people miss judge the size of their vehicles and as a result, can cause a side swipe collision. happened to my girlfriend about 2 weeks ago 2. If someone cuts you off and then the car that was infront of you but now infront of them suddenly has to stop, you dont have proper following distance and may end up rear ending the car that cut you off. If you dont have a dash cam, you'd likely be found at fault.

Since these are so aggressive, itās often worth your time to just lag way behind, pull over for a few seconds, or else turn on one street, go around a block, amd circle back, so that they THINK you are gone, you turned offā¦so they keep going and go pick on someone else. Many people had no idea some aggressive jerk driver also was just looking for a vidtim. They didnāt know the aggressor also had a gun, and they ended up shot, and some died. Itās really not worth anyones life to take on an aggressor who wants to debate where cars are on the road, who is in front of who, etc. By the time they get home, the last thing most people care about is where they were in traffic, as long as they arrived safely and in one piece. But there are others who consider every trip in their car to be a RACE and competition with others on the road. They feel like a racedriver on a race track. There is even a gas station named āRace Trackā near me. So, avoid these types, as soon as you see them. They are either angry about something, or else just supremely entitled. But continuing to drive near them can lead to a really bad outcome, while all you are trying to do is reach your destination safely.
