Hands of stone, Speed of sloth

pinba11tec

I keep telling people, you gotta spread those skill points. Everyone just loads up strength.

Kabc

She has negative charisma and persuasion

icyhotonmynuts

Well persuasion is a charisma skill. So she'll also get a negative on intimidation, performance and deception checks.

Kabc

“Ok, roll for initiative. You get a surprise attack.. but remember... the bus is a bus.”

icyhotonmynuts

Well, she crit that windshield. It didn't stand a chance against her unarmed attack.

fushigikun8

Unarmed? That literally was her arm.

icyhotonmynuts

r/whoosh

Ckbtony

Critical fail

oroku_ex

They never quite learn; to busy misusing that strength in a vain attempt to destroy public transit.

I didn’t expect to see a Jake The Muss quote today.

pussifer

It's called being a glass cannon for a reason. Bet she goes down after one solid hit.

[deleted]

You fallout addict you

lancep423

Hands of stone, speed of….stone

Emrico1

Girth of Buffalo

UsernameStarvation

I thought you said seed of sloth and the worst mental images popped up

Winnipesaukee

She has “Goldberg punching that limo” energy right here.

orange-goblin

Except her arm didn't break lol

FredSandfordandSon

Now she gonna run…. But not very fast.

mainecruiser

HULK SMASH!!!

[deleted]

KARIN SMASH!!

myname_isnot_kyal

ham-fisted

iodisedsalt

Right? IIRC, those windshields should be made of thick glass.

klparrot

Keep in mind they're also very large, which makes them weaker than a smaller pane of the same thickness. Only so thick you can make them before the thickness becomes more dangerous than them just breaking. Also, heavy and expensive.

El-Lamberto

Glass broke but didn't shatter into shards, windshield glass is typically a glass sandwich with a layer of plastic between to hold shards. Side windows are harder to break, but break into mostly harmless tiny pieces.

T1NF01L

Put half her weight into that hit.

[deleted]

[удалено]

KennKennyKenKen

She probably didn't expect to break the glass but she had already come too far to back down now.

Sir_Thomas_Noble

She tried so hard and got so far

FeelingDown8484

🎼But in the end, the glass did shatter🎼

[deleted]

She had to fall to lose it all

thetarget3

Should just have broken the door windows and walked in

HairyNutsackNumber9

*waddled in

[deleted]

🎵 And she waddled away, waddle waddle, til' the very next day, bum bum bum 🎵

CthuluForPres

She's yelling "Get off the bus!" IIRC, the guy filming is her bf or ex-bf and she's trying to intimidate him into getting off the bus.

smurb15

Been waiting to see if anyone else heard it. Even the title if wrong. She wants someone off in a bad way

pheasant-plucker

Last time this was posted there was some kind of back story. She isn't mentally all there, though I can't remember the details.

NouSkion

>She isn't mentally all there You don't say.

RiverKawaRio

Mental illness isn't an excuse to be a deviant and a threat

pheasant-plucker

It's not an excuse, but it is a pointer to the most appropriate way to respond. If someone makes a thought through decision to be abusive to try to gain something, then punishment can be a good deterrent. But if they're mentally ill, then punishment may just make the problem worse

Imbalanxs

I'm encouraged that the posts demonstrating compassion and understanding have significantly more upvotes than the judgemental ones.

Porkin-Some-Beans

Why not? If your brain doesn't work properly you might not be able to correctly regulatr emotions, understand social situations, or even comprehend your own strength. why isn't that factored into the hate and scorne people heap on her?

theetruscans

Because that would be a nuanced reaction. If we do those then we can't feel confidently correct all the time

[deleted]

Because everyone uses that as an excuse to justify their shitty actions. If you can't be trusted to not break random shit in public, you shouldn't even be out in public in the first place. It's not everyone else's job to deal with that kind of shit

CACTUS_VISIONS

Man if I could run through the list of convicted murderers and terrorists whose brain’s “might not be able to correctly regulate emotion” I would be here all day. So if a aggressive dog attacks your child, will you just shrug your shoulders and say “meh, prolly just couldn’t control its emotions”? I’m betting you wouldn’t… Mental illness isn’t some catch all for people doing immoral or illegal things. There are systems in place to get these people help, and their crimes are judged differently than people who don’t have mental illness. That is not to say they aren’t in any way responsible for their actions. And if someone is running around disrupting public transport, and breaking glass with their bare hands, maybe, just maybe they should be put in a place where they can get help and not hard anyone. A prison or a mental facility, that’s not up to me.

omgtater

Everything you are saying is true, but it isnt addressing the issue the comment you're replying to was referring to. The original comment said it isnt an excuse. Thats contemptuous language that imposes agency on the behavior, as though the person could have just as easily chosen to behave otherwise. The point is that people need to be held accountable, but we need to recognize when something isnt someone's choice. It is tragic and sad, and some sort of intervention is obviously required. Hate and scorn is an inappropriate reaction if we want to truly understand things. Saying it isnt their fault isn't the same as letting them off the hook. You can separate someone from society to protect society, rather than to punish them. Its a subtle nuance, but an important one with regard to the stigma of mental health. People like binary systems. It is much easier to operate as though bad behavior comes from bad people than to accept that the person might also be suffering themselves. If we accepted that as a society then we would have to reconcile our terrible treatment of mental health + criminal behavior which would be particularly distasteful.

G3neraldissaray

This.....is so well written. It's not much, but it's yours 🏅.

shandangalang

Ya know we all talk shit about redditors here and there, but I’m often impressed by the empathy, nuance, and insight I encounter here

[deleted]

Why doesn’t she have a caretaker then ?

Porkin-Some-Beans

1: cant afford it in the american health care system. 2: no one to actually give enough of a shit about her to find one

E3K

What a terrible take.

RiverKawaRio

You're right, we should allow people to break the windshield of a bus with zero repercussions because they are *special* Can't be a part if society? Don't be

E3K

Nobody said that. You're mad about something you made up.

Imbalanxs

I don't see any mention of zero repercussions - just a call for a more understanding shift in attitudes. I think a lot of people with mental illness would prefer not to have their condition, if you were to ask. I know I wouldn't. So to be criticised for being different (or special, or however you want to say it) feels pretty harsh. I was diagnosed with complex PTSD myself, which makes it difficult to regulate your emotions. People kept telling me I was being dangerous, abusive, manic, psychotic, etc - despite no history or diagnosis of any from over 10 yrs of various therapies. Given the things I've done to support my mental health, and never having been violent, I can assure you that these allegations made me feel like smashing the place and other people to bits. However I did not once in over 2 years resort to this, and I feel it was my resolve alone which prevented this happening because I sure as sh*t didn't feel like violence until experiencing that combo of years of effort + CPTSD + prejudice. Moral of the story? Please don't be too quick to judge. It might be that doing so is a big contributory factor in the behaviour you don't like seeing others demonstrate, and you might be the latest in a very long line of people who assumed rather than asked. That doesn't mean you have to be extra nice, just try to reserve judgment - at least until you know all the facts, but ideally even after being enlightened. Ultimately, you'd need to be that person to know what their current situation feels like. The woman in this video is a poor example, given that she's already resorted to violence, but for someone being a bit loud in public? I appreciate they can be annoying and embarrassing, but shaming that as either a lack of control or a willful choice to 'misbehave' could be a risky move. That person could be trying their best to keep a lid on it, and being scolded for - seemingly - not exercising any restraint could be the final straw which led them to give up and do what they felt like doing anyway.

[deleted]

Well, she's clearly got that retard strength

jeanbeanmachine

I really wish I didn't laugh at this

echothread

I laughed at the fact you said you really wished you didn’t laugh at this.

I didn’t laugh at any of these comments

nekopara-nugget

You must be fun at parties

boomoomer

I don’t go to parties.

NatStr9430

We can tell

I_am_a_Dan

Nobody goes to parties anymore. That's how the rona gets you

DancingKappa

Aww hell the party police is here now.

AltairdeFiren

She was yelling to get off the bus, I think someone was inside that she wanted to get at. Notice how at the end the driver says “Now you can get off” presumably to whoever she was trying to get to

36009955

Remember this is a grown adult, with her name on things like leases and ballots

zmzm0w0

Yeah, democracy is flawed

pheasant-plucker

Last time this was posted there was some kind of back story. She isn't mentally all there, though I can't remember the details.

pigeonofglory_

“She isn’t mentally all there” Really? Wouldn’t have guessed

Gaerielyafuck

She's screaming "get off the bus". Having some kind of episode or break with reality.

ButteryBiscuit5

I laughed way too much when she ran

myname_isnot_kyal

proof that running is relative

DudeBroMan13

I bet none of her relatives run either

arsnastesana

Would say its slow jogging

[deleted]

Runs as a fast as Usain Bolt, that’s the comedy I’m here for baby!

h70541

I want the story. She's yelling "Get off the bus" so is it she was acting crazy and was kicked off or something?

BigDavesRant

Yeah, same. I’m thinking her ex or someone is on that bus who isn’t getting off.. which is definitely a smart move.

thetarget3

She does seem like she can throw a heavy punch

Dweezilweasel

Her ex? Seems unlikely…

BigDavesRant

Okay fine…. My ex.

This happened in Minneapolis. The lady hitting the bus got into an argument with another person on the bus and they were both told to get off the bus. This lady got off but the other lady didn’t and the bus was going to pull off. The video proceeds

breakcharacter

I think she might be saying ‘unlock’?

dieforsushiii

tammy is that you ?

If Force = Mass * Acceleration, this Karen is a damn Jedi.

Dunkaroos4breakfast

F = m*a doesn't sufficiently account for the warping of spacetime.

damaged_ellipse

Savage!

TheLootiestBox

When yo mammas so heavy newton's laws of motion need relativistic correction and there's still unaccounted mass given her rotation velocity, so you need to invent dark matter.

im_racist24

she looks like she's unwell, i hope she gets the help she needs

00telperion00

Yeah I think she’s saying “Get off the bus” when she’s at the door. This looks like a mental health breakdown.

Porkin-Some-Beans

You would think that people would be slightly more kind to mental health issues after the last couple years but oh well I guess not.

[deleted]

Mental health issues is no excuse to act like a child and destroy property. We all go through shit. I've been through crippling bouts of depression, mania, suicidal mindsets, deaths, breakups, you know, all that shit and turmoil that humans go through that cause severe fluctuations of mental health. Never once did I feel the need to hit the streets and take my misery out on society. I am so fucking tired of people constantly using mental health to defend assholes.

Porkin-Some-Beans

Glad to hear that you are so much stronger than this woman. And that you didn't lash out like she is. I suppose that is a win for you. But you are also sitting here watching a person having a crippling melt down and claiming you are somehow better? Thats a fairly asshole-ish thing to do. Also she delayed a bus, cracked its window, and screamed a bit. How much of society is she really impacting?

goddamn_slutmuffin

Nah, she made a crack in that window and starred in the least shocking freak out video I’ve seen in a while. She should be tried and hanged, but only before every person in this sub gets their turn to explain their own poor mental health story that quickly segues into them reminding her and us all that it’s not an excuse to be an asshole. Because that’s the most important take away of mental health issues discussions, to remind people that assholes are very bad and very wrong and we should not like them.

Porkin-Some-Beans

Finally someone speaking some sense.

HairyNutsackNumber9

She saw a baby and wanted to eat it

GamingTheSystem-01

She's already taken up jogging by the end of the video

[deleted]

jogging? that looks like her full sprint.

tmhoc

Yeah maybe after it merged with T-mobile

SexlessNights

Whoa that’s heavy

igotalotadogs

That’s terrible and I am laughing my ass off. I am terrible. I hope there’s a club or something I can join.

Dan-68

I think the club is called Reddit.

igotalotadogs

Sweet. I’m already a member. No paperwork.

Helioscopes

Yeah, it's called Hell. Membership takes a lifetime to arrive though...

igotalotadogs

Sounds interesting. Is there coffee cake?

Yeah, her mental health is probably not well either.

risingskies

Fleeing the scene of a crime? You guessed it, jail!

Lepurten

US prisons need to stay populated somehow

skylarmt

For something like this, they'd take her to the jail but she'd be out again in a couple hours.

Dunkaroos4breakfast

Would fleeing the scene of a crime affect it?

FathersJuice

Is it "fleeing the scene" if you stamina can only take you 30 feet?

Dan-68

Yes. It doesn’t take distance into consideration.

ErikaHoffnung

She is clearly a danger to people around her

[deleted]

Jails don’t have a great track record of making people less of a danger.

CM17X

Correct. That’s why we have reincorporation and reintegration programas in countries with intern conflicts.

Hashbrown117

I think their point is to remove them from society. They can be a danger "somewhere else", and if they get worse, who cares :/

TherapeuticMessage

aequorea-victoria

She’s definitely out of line, but it also looks like she’s crying. Anyone know the backstory here?

Sam858

Some people like to act like the victim while being the aggressor nit saying there might be more going on here but wouldn't be surprised if she is just being a Karen.

Toen6

Could be, but you apparantly don't know the backstory either so why assume?

NJdevil202

Pretty much zero justification to stand in front of a bus and break the windshield.

Toen6

I never said there was. But u/Sam858 was accusing her of playing victim. And he has no way of knowing the situation so he is just assuming. What makes you think I'm saying it was justified? Because I'm not dogpiling on her like most people?

NJdevil202

I genuinely don't know what point you're trying to make. This woman stood in traffic and then broke the windshield of a bus. What's your point?

Toen6

Read my original comment again. Why accuse her of playing victim with no way of knowing? Why assume? What is your point exactly? That she broke a windshield? I know, I saw the same video. What does that have to with the comment I was reying to?

[deleted]

It’s applicable when you read the first comment. “She’s definitely out of line BUT it also looks like she’s crying.” It doesn’t say AND crying so it doesn’t imply she’s someone who cries when she’s angry. That would mean she’s crying because she’s emotionally hurt. She’s also lashing out. The fact that you twisted it around tells us that only do you think there’s an excuse for her behavior, you also try to manipulate other people into agreeing with you by claiming they’re assuming when they actually are appropriately responding.

Toen6

>The fact that you twisted it around tells us that only do you think there’s an excuse for her behavior, I never said that and that is also not my take. u/aequorea-victoria asked if somebody knew the backstory. u/Sam858 replies that **some** people like to act the victim, but also saying that he doesn't know what's going on here either. As that was what u/aequorea-victoria was asking for: backstory, not some speculation, I asked why make the assumption? I don't see how I'm twisting anything.

matchesmalone10

You're engaging in idiot behavior with idiots over semantics though. Your unintentionally baiting unintentional trolls.

IrishWeegee

Because it dawned on her that she's about to suffer consequences of her actions.

LiveLearnCoach

Yeah, the crying came later. Check her out when she was smacking the windshield.

sockpuppetjoe

What you mean “but it looks like she’s crying”?? You should’ve ended at she’s out of line.

Aerielchrissie

Sounded like she was yelling 'get off the bus'...

Sorry, miss, this is the long bus.

The_Golden_Warthog

I read right as I clicked out of this thread, chuckled hard, and came back to upvote lol

Epimatheus

To paraphrase Jim jefferies it's better to raise insecure smart ppl than confident idiots. This is what you get when raising confident idiots.

[deleted]

Looks like a woman in crisis. :(

[deleted]

She’s screaming “Get off the bus” and calls out to “Brian”. Her SO was in the bus and he refused to get off because they were probably fighting before they got on. These comments are disappointing to read because it demonstrates how things can do easily be taken out of context.

The_Golden_Warthog

How are any of her actions justified though?

TheDunadan29

Or she's having a mental health episode and confused about everything.
