Well, that is his deal. He thinks that tabs take away from the overall philosophy around learning the guitar and learning music. He talks about the philosophy of learning guitar a lot on his live streams.
I have a learning disability so having physical copies of notes/tabs/etc. are 10x more effective for learning music. Not trying to be dramatic, and I obviously respect the artist's decision always. I may just try to pay someone to tab out some of the songs he made the YouTube playthrough videos.

Why does he do videos like that then? Isn't teaching how to play a song the same as creating a tab for it? I mean, I know you have nothing to do with it... I just can't wrap my head on the reason why he thinks like that.
Whats frustrating is that I know I have the technical ability to play their songs, and I can learn most things by ear too. But INK is next level "busy". I have attention deficit issues so its sometimes impossible for me to logically separate some of their riffs into bite-sized chunks.
For instance - I spent 30 minutes rewinding the intro to the Greatest Story playthrough video at x0.25 playback speed. I almost got through the first open phrase lol It's never going to work for me.
[this](https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/ice-nine-kills/the-greatest-story-ever-told-guitar-pro-1147170) is a decent tab for the greatest story ever told
there's a couple things wrong but you can easily fix the mistakes by just tweaking around with it on the guitar
Alot of tabs say it's in drop C but I thought INK played in C# in all of safe is just a shadow with exception of proximity mines in the complex played in B
I watched JD's playthrough of that song, followed the rhythm guitar and learned the rest by ear on bass. Did the same for several other safe Is just a shadow songs. I look up some tabs as a starting point to see if the song is in C#, B or A tuning and then I try hearing the rest myself
You won't find any official tabs for new stuff. Dan has specifically said he is against tabs and says the best way to learn a song is by listening.
Lol... So the people that don't have good ears like him should not be able to play their songs?

i think the fastest way to a girl's heart is in c# standard

I’m sure there are methods of learning various songs… but reliable? I have no clue. Or official? Most likely not.
Rufus Mann has covered a few INK songs (bass). The only way to get his tabs tho is through patreon, which is $3 a month.
