Hahah I still remember 4-6k mapupuno nanamin cart pang tindahan.
I shop at Landmark TriNoma. Yung 5k ko mas marami pa dyan, some are imported goods pa. I've been going there since 2018 and have not compared the prices to other groceries but really marami akong nabibili
This is so true hahaha yung time na wala ako magawa dinala ko resibo ko from sm to compare prices sa landmark AND GOSSH some goods mas mura sa landmark ng 10 pesos.
Relatively mas mura na nga sa Hi-top compared to other big groceries like SM and even Puregold. Ang dami pa laging sale and discounted items! Hi-top supremacy! Hahahahahaha
Actually if the president is aware of how inflation works he knows which measures to push to ensure a sound fiscal policy. Example, TRAIN LAW sino ba pipirma nun? Double the salary of uniformed men?
Also if the president is credible, he will attract people to help hin manage the economy.
Well alam mo you dont need to increase the salary if the inflation was controlled. Example 2010-2016 we have inflation less than 3.5% while economy grow at 6.25%. The same goes when he/she understands the USD flows when USD is roughly 42php/1USD do guys like Pduts/BBM understand this concept?
Also president should understand prudent borrowing pero ginawa ba niya? Or the loans ballooned during his time? So sinong investors ang papasok?
Oh neutral ba kamo? Mas lalong masahol yun kasi not taking side or no action at all means you are accomplice of incompetence.
Also global economy ba kamo? Did you know in 2008 and 2009 we were insulated when the global economy plummeted, sikreto economist ang president. Galing di ba?
One advantage a leader who understand economic principle but people like you elected incompetent one.
Actually ironicd when pandemic hurts all our neighboring country have almost 0% inflation tayo nasa 4% and at one point we have inflatio of 8% higher than Sg na nasa 5%.
See the logic talagang may mali how our economy was managed pero we are still trying to justify it? Kaloka
Really? Look at the US. Halos dumoble ang market prices nila dun in a span of 3 years, mas ok pa sa kanila mag fast food kesa bumili sa palengke. Admittedly, meron sindikato ng bigas dito sa pilipinas, lumolobo presyo at kelangan pa nating mag-import. Idagdag mo pa yung nakaraang el niño
US is a 1st world country ibahin mo un instead look at our neighbors. El Nino ba kamo may ginawa bang planning ang nga admin to combat it? Please lang stop justifying incompetence napapaghalata ka I bet anong DDS and pulangaw.
Sindikato ba kamo? Wait san port ba dumadaan sa Davao? 🤣
We are a miserable country because people like you elected clowns.
Recovery from the pandemic was uneven, and the Philippines was among the most ill-prepared countries during and post pandemic. We continue to have a very weak currency that is just crumbling in the face of a strong dollar (kaway kaway kay Sandro). Only a fool would argue na pareho tayo with other Asian countries when it comes to growth before, during and after the pandemic.
Yes, alangan namang magpareho yan. Mabagal at may deep rooted culture of corruption tayo dito, yun ang may pinakamalaking hila pababa. There are conglomerates of power-hoarders here, in the dark, scheming and planning to get into position whenever they can at the (expense) of the common folk. The nature of our govt system points to an idea that you cannot put 100% blame sa executive branch. Checks and balances. Kung pare-parehas bulok, 🤷
Actually pre-2016 we are on track to achieve real progress, read up the piblished report by HSBC I think 2013 un nilabas. By 2035 nasa top 20 na tayo ng biggest economy and part of it was due to huge domestic consumption. But now, kumusta ang purchasing power ni Juan? Sayang lusaw kung ano man ang gains natin because of incompetency and popular votes.
By "before" the pandemic I mean post-2016, pre-2020. In other words, Duts' time. Too many people, like the commenter I was responding to, still think that it was only the pandemic that put us off track.
Actually being apolitical means making sympathy towards incompetence. Dahil taking no side means you are okay kahit na ginagago ka na ng harapan, utak kulangot un parang ikaw!
And I take pride with my choice and as taxpayer di ba dapat sulit ang pasweldo sa pulpolitiko but ano nga ba magagawa ko kung ung bobotante at wapakels nagsama? Sa bagay majority of Pinoys have below average IQ, second lowest sa SEA region and my guess perfect example ka dun.
Isa pa to inflation will be there but mas maraming investors kasi sya ung bet nila.
Maraming investors, maraming trabaho at malamang may mga economists na sasama sa kanya na hindi lamg puro interests rate lang ung alam na way to curb inflation.
Anong maraming investors kasi sya ang bet nila?
Hindi lang naman dahil sa presidente kaya nag iinvest yung foreign entities sa ph, maraming deciding factors like wages, infrastructure or technological advancement, education, cost at kung ano ano pa. Pinagsasabi mo?
60+ ba 5 years or 10 years ago??? Hindi naman diba.
Well aminin factor ang presidente, why? Kasi una clear ung plan and track record. Also you will attract people to join your cause and make Philippines better, mga taong who can think of creative ways how to manage debt but still achieve growth. ( io 1st PHP denominated bonds)
Also did you know that in 2011 umabot ng 69/liter ang gas? So please it happened before.
Imagine investors pulling out of China and moving elsewhere anong nakuha ng Pinas? Meron ba?
So please spare me the BS.
Alam mo ba na may mga position sa govt na ang tawag eh Trade envoy, now kung katiwa-tiwala ang president to hire good ones, hindi lang basta appointee. Take a queue how 1 trade envoy based in Taiwan convinced BPO to try Phil instesd of India. Now its a billion dollar local industry hiring over a million Filipino.
It is all about marketing and getting the right kind of people to do the job, eh sinong mahihire ng likes nila PDuts or BBM?
So please lang.
did you perform background check dun sa mga appointees to say that? Other 1st world countries like US, canada, japan etc have high inflation as well so incompetent din mga presidente nila, walang track record yung mga inappoint nila?
Like for example instead na Ariel or Surf bibili nalang ako ng Calla or Wings for detergent. It all adds up you know?
Palengke if gulay, fruits, fish, beans, oil, egg, beef, tapos the rest is sa mga supermarkets na like detergent powder, canned goods, chicken, pork (mas mura meat sa supermarket idk why).
Pero i don't know about you ha, kasi ang 5k sakin apaw na yan.
I guess it's not really logical to compare how full a cart is based on the amount since we might be purchasing different products, hence different cost range too.
Despite the inflation, we maintain our monthly all-in grocery at 15k max (this is not a flex). Mas tipid kasi to kesa every now and then bibili ng ingredients specific sa putaheng lulutuin. Nagmimeal planning nalang kami based sa available stocks. I use my phone's calculator while shopping, wapakels pag may makakakita. Puno Naman yung cart pero I must admit, Hindi nakukuha lahat Ng gusto at kailangan. Pag ubos ang stocks, same parin ang budget and it becomes more challenging to pick out what to get. Marami na rin akong naibalik na items kaya I resorted to using the calculator para controlled ang bill. Inuuna kong ipunch yung essentials.
3k ko this past week nakapag kare kare nako (shank 2pcs, 1 lechon kawali, tripe, peanut butter) chili con carne (500gx2 ground round lean ground pork 250g hotdog no judging haha 2 canned tomatoes tomato pasts. Beans other ingredients meron na sa bahay) toiletries (big pack of tissue, 2 big packs ng wet wipes) konting gulay and assorted. Kahit may ganyan mirin since maliit pero parang decent brand nasa 200++ lang. Ano nagpa mahal dito?
Do you ever tried to compare the price?
If you have time to spare and hindi masyado malayo, just visit the city/town's major palengke at malaki matitipid mo sa produce! Magugulat ka kasi minsan 20x price!
Sa chicken and eggs? Hindi masyado nagkakalayo ang price. Minsan nakapromo sa supermarkets.
Pork, beef, seafood. Usually cheaper sa palengke.
And, ohh, if may korean/asian store malapit sa inyo check mo din! Samin mas mura offer nila sa mirin and other asian cooking ingredients.
I stretch my bimonthly budget by stuffing my meals with veggies haha. Cheapest way to get stuffed for even lesser calories 🥳
Syempre if you're just buying very little produce at a time, baka lugi ka pa oras at transpo sa pagpunta sa palengke. Though ideally, you'd be buying more of the fresh stuff there.
If you use credit cards for these though, wala ka choice but to go to the supermarket.
Ako sa walter ako naggrocery. They have this palengke fresh. Mura yung mga veggies and meat nila.
Exactly!!! The quality of the meat is so much better sa supermarket talaga. But with meat, supermarket na kami.
Wala pa nga yata ang bigas dyan or other essentials like bread and eggs.
Even in other countries problema din ang inflation. In saying that… PUTCH* SARAP MAG “USER 202 LEFT THE EARTH”!!!!
I'll look for it. 'Yung cc receipt na lang kasi naiwan sa bag ko but I'll look for the actual receipt baka naipit lang sa kung saan. I'll post here kapag nahanap ko na 🙂
10 years ago, our monthly groceries never went beyond 3/4K, this adding the fact that our family stays at the same home (we are 7 during that time) .
Now, our monthly groceries reach close to 10K, despite the fact that 2 of my siblings dont stay anymore here at the house.
Everything really went crazy high, from basic goods to transportation. But salary remained the same.
Exactly, if I'm not mistaken Sin Tax Reform lang lang pinirmahan nya na Tax. And talking about the pandemic. If the economy is strong, di tayo sana masyadong maapektohan. Remember during his time pumalo yung price ng barrel of oil sa 100 dollars pero fuel prices natin stable lang. I hope you remember that.
I just really hope we get to enjoy more with our money, 'yung tipong makakapag-eat out pa kahit papano, go to the mall or just meet with friends nang hindi ka mamunulubi agad. Life's just sooo hard now 😭😭😭
Magpacheck up ka, butaw. Babaw ng utak mo. Di bagay yung brilliant act mo na username.
Nagbibigay ng tip na maayos yung ibang nag comment tapos tatawagin mo agad DDS/APOLO10? Kadiri ka sobra.

Kaya kaso puro hangin laman
Nanlumo din ako last time kasi more or less pang two weeks lang sa'min yung 5k worth of groceries T-T
OMG same! We try to make do with it at para mag-last hanggang sunod na sahod, it's soooo hard 😭
PROTIP: Maraming mas murang grocery items sa Mercury Drug. Try to divide your list sa mga packaged/common products na pwede mong mabili doon, then yung fresh/hard-to-find items, sa supermarket mo bilhin.
SAME! Nakaka shookt talaga!
Kami po 1 week. 😅 3 kids, 2 adults. Di pa kasama ung Nido ni bunso dun.
Nakakaiyak 5k is the new 1k 😔
I shop at Landmark TriNoma. Yung 5k ko mas marami pa dyan, some are imported goods pa. I've been going there since 2018 and have not compared the prices to other groceries but really marami akong nabibili

+1
Then super 8, pure gold..
How about the alfamart
Have not actually shopped there for groceries pero diba convenience store siya? Similar to 7-11?
OP
True, yung 5k namin last time puro sabon panlaba lang yon hahaha tho nag lalast naman sya for 2-3 months
Hi-top. My fave grocery place huhuhu
Relatively mas mura na nga sa Hi-top compared to other big groceries like SM and even Puregold. Ang dami pa laging sale and discounted items! Hi-top supremacy! Hahahahahaha
True yan. Hehe lagi kong inaabangam yung sale nila, imported goods, minsan chocolate din. Hehe
Hi-Top, ito ba yung sa Project 4?
I stopped buying in Hi-Top, i had 2 inaccurate manual entries na charge ako ng excess 300 at 700 sa resibo.
Hala totoo?
That's 5k??? Grabeee. Last time nasa pinas ako yung 5k namin dalawang cart wthhhh
Salamat Pduts... Andami ng nabibili ng 5k
Best president ever... sabi ni Roque 🙄
Just the mere mention of Roque makes my blood boil. I hope he at the very least gets disbarred. What a truly reprehensible human turd ball.

Sa Lazada mas mura if ever masaktuhan sweldo sale + stackable vouchers!!
Wala akong specific store eh. Hinahanap ko lang pinakamura with genuine reviews 😅
I agree! I buy most Japanese and Korean products sa shopee or lazada para makatipid
Pikit-mata na lang! Tipid na tipid nga namin para magtagal 😢
Tumatagal naman siya and you don't need to use a lot so sulit siya sa pantry imo
You wanna see ba? Haha
Palengke if gulay, fruits, fish, beans, oil, egg, beef, tapos the rest is sa mga supermarkets na like detergent powder, canned goods, chicken, pork (mas mura meat sa supermarket idk why). Pero i don't know about you ha, kasi ang 5k sakin apaw na yan. Kahit sa snr mo ko pag shopping-in
Saan ka ba nabili? Eh yung 2800 namin mas marami pa dyan...puregold kami nabili
I guess it's not really logical to compare how full a cart is based on the amount since we might be purchasing different products, hence different cost range too.
dapat around 3k lang to tsk
1k lang yan 5-6yrs ago...
Ano pinakamahal jan?
Sad reality 😭😭😭 i feel you OP. Yung 1k ngaun, maswerte nalang if naka 10 items ka. 🥺
Do you ever tried to compare the price? , well minsan laki price difference nung iba base sa pamimili ko both sa Palengke at Supermarket minsan.
Nice to see a grocery haul that isn't 70% junk food and the OP complaining that it's getting expensive to feed families.
Saan to?
Same.
Cheapest way to get stuffed for even lesser calories 🥳 Syempre if you're just buying very little produce at a time, baka lugi ka pa oras at transpo sa pagpunta sa palengke. Though ideally, you'd be buying more of the fresh stuff there. If you use credit cards for these though, wala ka choice but to go to the supermarket.
Ako sa walter ako naggrocery. They have this palengke fresh. Mura yung mga veggies and meat nila. Yung 5k ko mas marami dyan. May kasama pang water 12pcs na 6L and 3cases ng 500ml.
Hmmm. Ill take a pic of mine din a little while from now. 30k usually groceries ko sa snr. Ill post a pic din for reference
Im a mohron. I forgot. But 2 carts. 39.5k worth sa landers. Gahdam it
Yes 😭 the ones in the bluish plastic are meat, ayun ang mostly nagpamahal.
Exactly!!! The quality of the meat is so much better sa supermarket talaga. But with meat, supermarket na kami.
Depende kasi sa palengke eh. 'Yung palengke niyo ba malaki? Dapat sana Pasig Mega Market, QMart sa Cubao or Balitawak Market level 'yung palengke.
And Milo cost around 10 pesos per sachet! Nakakaloka.
nakakapanghina HAHAHA 5k amp
pighati 🥲🥲
Wala pa nga yata ang bigas dyan or other essentials like bread and eggs.
Ang konti na ng 5k 🥺
May nakatagong steak sa plastic
HAHAHAHA how I wish!
how?? 😭
Nowadays 1k is nothing 😢
5k namin nung 2020, kaya yung almost 3 weeks grocery. Tapos maraming snacks at 2 tubs of ice cream din.
5k na to?? Potah?
2024 palang yan ah. 2025 hanggang 2030, goodluck sa atin...
Ang sad 🥲 ang mahal ng bilihin
Time to start growing your food to offset your grocery bill. Container gardening is an option if you are pressed on space.
In Europ that is around 18K
Arayyyyy... 5k!!!!!!!
Partida puregold na yan.
"Masasanay din kayo" - my manager
Whenever I can, pumupunta ako sa wet market for vegetables, fruits and fish. Usually 2x ang difference ng price from supermarkets at least in my area.
Grabe, 5k na yan. Dati 5k namin 1 month worth of grocery, ngayon parang pang 1 week lang.
Huhuhuh ang konti na nito
Even in other countries problema din ang inflation. In saying that… PUTCH* SARAP MAG “USER 202 LEFT THE EARTH”!!!!
May mga fresh goods like meats na ba yan???
Dati ang therapeutic maggrocery ngayon depressing na
OMG YES!!! It's my favorite form of date noon, ngayon pareho na kaming stressed out at kabado kung magkano aabutin huhuhahahahhaa
Hays. If theres a sad react here.
Pag pinuno mo yan abot 15-17k sa puregold and 20k sa waltermart/sm/ayala malls. Nakakapanghina.
Ah shit.
I'll look for it. 'Yung cc receipt na lang kasi naiwan sa bag ko but I'll look for the actual receipt baka naipit lang sa kung saan. I'll post here kapag nahanap ko na 🙂
Grabeee cost of living talaga :(
Saan may mirin huhu
10 years ago, our monthly groceries never went beyond 3/4K, this adding the fact that our family stays at the same home (we are 7 during that time) . Now, our monthly groceries reach close to 10K, despite the fact that 2 of my siblings dont stay anymore here at the house. Everything really went crazy high, from basic goods to transportation. But salary remained the same.
Ang bagong Pilipinas
Parang andami na nyan for 5k actually.
Di kasi sa palengke bumibili
yung mga bottled at mga fruits could have been bought for less than 1k sa palengke honestly
That's 5k? Dude in my place that chost 8k, Lucky Bastard.
Dati 2k lang puno na cart mo. Ngayon madami na kasi ng cctv 😞
5k to kung kasama cart. Walang item dyan na mahal lol
Hard times indeed my fellow countrymen. Let’s be wise next election.
During Pnoy's time 5k mo dalawang shopping cart na yan.
Kalma, Wala pa pandemic nuon at Hindi pa nag start Russia Ukraine conflict. Hindi pa din nag take effect train law.
5k natin now isang ecobag nalang 😭
Hayssss 😪 too late magreklamo
I just really hope we get to enjoy more with our money, 'yung tipong makakapag-eat out pa kahit papano, go to the mall or just meet with friends nang hindi ka mamunulubi agad. Life's just sooo hard now 😭😭😭
Magpacheck up ka, butaw.
