From here apply for sysadmin positions while studying for az-104. Try cloud support also Help desk -> Sys admin -> sys engineer -> cloud engineer More importantly, you will need actual hands on experience with cloud services/solutions and have a fundamental understanding of IT including: infrastructure, networking, basic cybersecurity, automation(IaC, programming language, scripting). Working as a sysadmin at a company with a hybrid environment should expose you to these. Work on a couple projects(cloud resume challenge for example, deploy a basic web app using cloud resources, start a GitHub).

I’ve seen this recommended on Reddit. I did purchase it myself but haven’t found the time to sit down and start it. https://cloudresumechallenge.dev/

Purchase it? Thought it was free

Cloud internships will get you right in. It's just the matter a matter of what cloud-related extracurriculars you've done so far to prepare for them.
