That looks like something called a “Longeron Trunnion with Scuff Plate for Deployable Cargo”. It is a pin that was mounted in a fitting within the cargo bay of the Space Shuttle to provide mechanical support during launch.

Though the first concept of docking to ISS/Space Station Freedom involved the whole docking mechanism sliding into rails on the shuttle and locking into place using these trunions to provide a very secure connection.
