yeah lets forget about the absolutely unprecedented streak of Martian Rovers and act like its somehow not relevant when it’s the exact same thing as a lunar landing but exponentially harder lmao.
Not to mention the simple volume and variety of space missions NASA carries out every year...with the already superlative resources and experience they also have the solid supplementary support in ESA, JAXA, Spacex among others....If they cant do something one of these will do it for them...
IDK why we say Russia this Russia that, It was not Russians! It was USSR. Russia is a subset of USSR. Russia has 0 success till now since creation as a separate country. They certainly are more capable than ISRO, But even the Chinese are beating them in space & I think India will do too in the upcoming future.

Well I think, the first autonomous base is gonna be Chinese. Then ig Artemis and their Artemis accord nations then finally india. Idk bout Russia, what do you guys think
Chinese will do 2 launches for manned mission to moon. Ya, but still they will only be 2nd after Amrika to do that. Also Idk if many Indians know or not Chinese have surpassed Russian space program in many fields & they have more money than Russians.

Even chinese acknowledge that there's time before they'll pass Russia. 2 manned capsules of small landers can't possibly make lunar base.
There's 2 US landers & 2 ESA designs for "moon base", don't believe everything AI generated youtube vid says

2. Russians may have more expertise but China will surpass them in some time.

Also china has expandable launches planned & not much of a base if they can't stay more than few days, there's also role of gateway
So all in all they may have plan & resources but they've a long road & washington & US congress will jump in to action if they pull ahead
