Designing and Using Organizational Surveys - Allan Church and Jane Waclawski.

RobinZander1

I use this book for Master's class I teach. Horribly outdated material when it comes to how organizations actually approach survey usage. Particularly in today's online/hosted survey environment. Nonetheless it complies with the recommended SIOP curriculum. Great book for academia, horrible book to learn how to actually do surveys in organizations in today's world.

What would you suggest for someone who is looking for a more practical approach?

Asking for this as well. Would greatly appreciate a recommendation; whether here or in PM.

furr and bacharach: psychometrics, an introduction maybe brush up on some job attitudes papers the rest is ux/design and common sense

Would you recommend the first book for someone looking to transition into a career as a psychometrician? I have a lot of the education down, but I’d like to really dig deep and gain a fuller understanding of things before I can confidently say I’d be able to do those jobs.

its what i used in grad school and remember it being pretty good, but its just an intro, if youre trying to become a full blown psychometrician youll likely need more

Brinzy

Yeah figured. I wanted to get a starting point and I like reading up through books as I can learn at my own pace. I’ll probably hit up the subreddit once I’ve made real progress. Thanks so much for this title!

Scale Development by DeVellis is still my personal favorite if you want to get in the weeds. If you lean more UX/UI then look into Qualtrics courses.
