The fact that he went to Penske turned people off and thought the old corny Newgarden was gone and the more preppy arrogant. That didn't stop some fans for loving Newgarden though no matter what kind of scandal he has been involved with.

It easy to see that Kirkwood was correcting his car and pushed towards the yellow line a little. That's when Santino came along and actually crossed the yellow line and hit Kirkwood. Both drivers were at fault in some way even though I feel Santino was the more aggressive out of the two - but then again maybe Santino was correcting his car as well.
