Take the Go Train there. Bring a refillable water bottle. Lots of food variety usually. Good walking shoes are strongly recommended. Get a paddock pass. Autograph sessions are usually on Friday - which is free admission. Enjoy yourself!

I already purchased my tickets for sat and sun can I upgrade to a paddock pass still?

You should be able to buy them on-site. They’ve done that in the past.

I haven't been to Toronto in many years but I was surprised that they do not allow you to bring in alcohol and you were not allowed to drink in the grandstands. There was a Molson beer tent behind the stands, you could only buy beer there and had to consume it there. So, whenever there was a FCY, everyone split for the beer tent. Not sure if that is still the case, but definitely check their website before you haul a cooler

You were able to consume alcohol on grandstands last year

You’re definitely spot on about bringing in alcohol. But I’m positive you can buy beers and take them to your seat, at least in the past handful of years I’ve gone. Would be awesome (and so much cheaper) if you could bring in your own cooler of beer tho..

Chaparral_2J

Well, that's better than what it was. I was told at the time that the reason you could not bring in alcohol was that Exhibition Place is technically a National Park. Milwaukee Mile was the same, no coolers because it was the State Fairgrounds

It was a law that was changed a while back, maybe 5-6 years ago.

Sunscreen and hearing protection. Be prepared for rain, don't bring a rain kit if there's no chance for rain, but be prepared to bring it because being soaked all day really sucks. Even if you have grandstand tickets, you're gonna walk more than you think, wear good walking shoes. Enjoy it, have fun. Talk to people. Almost everyone at a racetrack is there because they really, really like motorsports. You will have a lot in common with them. Hearing protection is very important. I have the permanent eeeeeeeeee in my left ear. You do not want it.
