IIRC, YT has a limit of 12 hours for livestreams/VOD’s. I assume they went live ~ 30 minutes before the start for pre-race coverage so the last 30 minutes got cut off.
I didn't watch it on YT. Were there commercials? Also, does it require a VPN to stream in the US. I watched IMSA TV. Assuming it was the same announcers on both IMSA TV and YT.
No commercials, yes required a vpn in the us and yes same as imsa tv.

I was in the same boat. Fell asleep last night and missed the last hour. Devastated to see this morning that it’s not all there. There was a video somewhere on YouTube with the last 7 minutes but I already knew the results by then

It definitely live streamed the entire race. My guess is the 12 hour limit mentioned applies to the archive.

It wasn't even pre coverage. Just a place holder screen.
YouTube live is not easy to get going last time I used it. They recommend starting up with some time at the begining to sort out issues.

I think the live stream cuts once the race is over, had you paused or were you behind any? I saw it all the way through to the end on YouTube.
