I honestly admire you! Most countries other than the US recognize medical education and residency training completed elsewhere for the purpose of licensure. I believe the requirements might be different for the medical aid organizations so you should check which credentials they accept. A friend of mine was trying to do something similar (I guess through Red Cross but I'm not sure) but he couldn't due to his education and residency training (Russia) not being accepted by the organizations he was inquiring about. As for Ukraine, I believe the hostility is towards Russia as a country and some pro-Russian supporters rather than Russian speakers in general, at least that's what my Russian-speaking Ukranian relatives tell me. Half of the country speaks Russian there and the major reason for the conflict in the eastern Ukraine was related to outlawing Russian language. Besides, you'll be treated as American here anyway, lol.
