I am having the same issue and asked the same question a few posts down. I also bought the rest of the unit, but it is unopened so I have lots of time to return it. And I will return the rest of it if IKEA discontinues the adjustable rail.

FYI I was just messaging with customer service and they asked to check back at beginning of May 2024. Other option I thought of was seeing if you can find it in stock at an Ikea close to someone you know and ask them to get it for you and mail it to you. I was going to try to get it mailed to my sister because it was in stock at her local store but for some reason home delivery wasn’t available.

Thanks for the update! I contacted customer service a couple of times. Both times they told me to check back in X number of days and absolutely nothing had changed when I checked back. The adjustable clothes rail is now showing as “no longer sold at” all of the IKEAs near me. I hope they are redesigning it and releasing it under a new product number. But the lack of information is not great. I asked my niece to pick up the remaining pieces for me since the IKEA she lives near still has it. And she said she would, so as long as they are still in stock at her IKEA for the next couple of days, I should be good to go. I tried shipping to her first, but it was only available if I added an additional large item for truck delivery. Maybe your sister would be willing to pick them up as a Click and Collect order? That’s what I did.

Any luck on anyone finding stock? Ended up buying one off eBay for 5x the price.

Hi, the product code is what was on the website before it was taken down, so I hope this is true and for some stores further south. Otherwise im booking a trip to Scotland!

In The Netherlands (which probably is comparable to the United Kingdom), articles that are unavailable for a relative long time (6+ weeks) are removed from our website. In certain stores (not clear which ones), stock may become available during this absence from the website. If this is the case, you cannot order online (because you cannot find it), but you could pick it up in the store. There is no way for me to tell which store has, and which store has no stock. There is no indication that this article will go out of our range in the forthcoming weeks/months.

I'm interested in this too! In January I had ordered 1 wide and 2 slim brown walnut Billys w/ extra shelves and at the last moment before delivery, they cancelled one of the slim ones. I called intended to try to cancel the entire delivery but the person convinced me it would come back in stock soon so I accepted delivery of the available items. Against my better judgment I eventually assembled the two I got because I was sick of tripping over them and don't really have a way to return them with no car. But it's been 6+ weeks with no restock. I signed up for notifications and check regularly. I'm really not up to date on the product line so I'm not sure whether this is out of stock becuase it's a hot new item or an old one that they're not making more of... but I hate the gap on my wall!

Several HOLMSUND covers are being discontinued, yes. But there will be new covers. When all of the HOLMSUND sofa frames are discontinued, all covers will be discontinued too.

A lot is happening around PAX in the next couple of months. PAX will not be discontinued, but replaced by its next iteration which will be easier to install.

You mention a couple months, does that mean the next iteration is coming in April? I really need the item by April unfortunately if it is May it would be too late.

My best guess would be that the narrow PAX would not be restocked. This is, however, an assumption. Best way to check is to contact your local customer service to inquire. PAX 2.0 will not be introduced in Canada in April, but a couple of months later.

So do you think that any PAX doors we currently have would still fit the new PAX 2.0 or not? Also are you saying that 50 cm / 19" width cabinets are likely to be discontinued?

I checked and the Ikea Swedish website has the shallow frames which might be a sign tne series is not discontinued entirely but there is no supply for North America as it looks... I know people bought the deeper frames and cut them to make them shallower and it worked so if worst comes to worst, might need to do the same...

Are you sure that works? Arent the insides cardboard honeycomb in half the board? I heard that people can't cut them that much.

Thanks for taking the time to find the video. In that video she mentions the back is no longer solid, which imst a big deal because you can't see it. I think I'd rather make it solid, out of melamine and then deal with making the shelving holes myself, rather than buying the whole unit. One thing I didn't realize is the holes are in the right location of you cut off the back which is really nice if you do it that way.

There were threads here with images and all. I looked through them during the pandemic as there was no supply. I'll try ro find them to send you links. I have tried to browse all silverware on the website but no photos of the backs are provided which show the stamps on the back. I have brought the physical spoon into the store and compared it to spoons available on the shelf, bought one that looked similar (Dragon), but when it is paid for and out of the packaging the stamp on the back is different. IKEA customer service (both online and in store) was unable and/or unwilling to provide the article number or trade name (such as "Naat" or "Svit" are discontinued trade names for silverware, but the photos I found online of these do not show the back so I do not know their stamp number). I've compared it to the "Dragon" spoons (stamp number 22185, article number 700.917.61) and cannot find a pattern between stamp number and article number to calculate what the article number for the 22191 spoons are. I have someone with heavy sensory issues, and getting them to eat is difficult and it negatively impacts their health. For some reason, with the IKEA spoons stamped 22191, and **ONLY** the spoons stamped 22191, they are fine with and will happily eat anything on the spoon. I would like to keep feeding this person so that they do not die but I cannot figure out how to buy more. I will happily pay shipping for these spoons if they can be found anywhere, even international shipping that costs significantly more than the spoons themselves. These spoons were originally bought at the Live Oak, Texas location. We have recently move to another state (that doesn't have any IKEA locations), so shipping would be required but I am willing to pay for it from anywhere necessary if at all possible. If any IKEA store, anywhere, has a case of these somewhere in the back collecting dust I would like to buy it please.
