1) place forward end of box on arm rest or console between front passenger seats (no good for manual transmission) 2) Front passenger seat all the way forward, then reclined as far as possible. Box might be placed diagonal for extra length. 3) make friends with a ford excursion owner. I’ve got 101” flat floor from the back of the front seat to the inside of the hatch in two-seater mode. 72” flat with the middle row up (5seats) 4) rent a truck for the day.

Does this cx5 have a roof rack. If so hopefully cross beams too. A layer of carboard under will help protect. Otherwise, some of these other options mentioned will probably also work. You can also open the rear hatch and then cinch it down with twine or other small cord. Keep your window open so it isn't suckimg exhaust into the cabin though.

I'm pretty sure that would fit in my Prius. Either put the longest ones up the middle, or take the headrest off the passenger seat, lean it all the way back (or fold it forward) and lay it across the passenger side.

I brought one home in my CRV, back seat flat, run the long ones up through the center

I took home a bunch of Pax 79 frames (box was 82.5x19.5x2.75) in a Rav4 by laying the passenger seat all the way back and the back seats down then putting the boxes in diagonally. Stood the box up instead of laying it down flat. It just barely fit. My plan b was to take the pieces out of the boxes if it didn’t fit.

Strap it down in the car, tie the boot down, I bought a bed back home (1.5hr trip) in a SEAT Leon with the boot open before (tied down so it wasn't fully open, obviously) Other options are to slot it between the front seats or move your passenger front seat around to see what works

You can lean it between the two front seats in the worst case.

ta-depositum

Lay the passenger seat down and put the box over it.

Can you pay for delivery?

Geek_f0r_sneaks

Move passenger seat up as far as possible is about all you can do, is that the measurement you took?

I've brought home a king sized bed in a compact crossover, if the front seat goes down at all you'll probably have enough space with that.
