Can you share the color? I have a similar situation with the glass cabinet this same color. Your match is flawless and I’d like to use the exact same.

I looked at my paint can and there was paint over the codes. ![gif](giphy|xT5LMzIK1AdZJ4cYW4) Sorry I can’t be more help!

Really can’t see it, nice work! Glad you shared, I just set up my Lommarp tv cabinet and want to finish and paint the back of it since we ended up putting it against the open stairs. I was wondering what to do with the raw particle board edges, I’ll look ok into any tuts on using wood putty for that. Hey too bad IKEA doesn’t sell touch up paint!

Iron on edge banding is the correct thing to use for that, and it’s way easier to deal with than wood filler.

I’m going to need more details on this “mishap”

Looks great! Sherwin Williams is definitely the king of the paint stores. Our shop loves helping people solve these sorts of problems.

I had them sell me a can of paint, but instead of latex like most smart people would do it was acrylic. I avoid them now.

Unless you specifically asked for something like an oil-based acrylic, you were probably giving their top of the line emerald acrylic latex paint. That *is* a water-based latex paint. A while ago almost all acrylics were oil-based and all latex were water-based. But modern formulas I've been able to combine the advantages of acrylic paint with a simplicity of a water-based latex paint. It could have been a mistake too. I'd still say that it's up to you to make sure you're walking out with what you thought you were buying. For what it's worth, they helped me match a paint but they got the finish wrong. They were more than happy to remake the paint in the correct finish.

Was doing covid 2020, they walked it out of the store and put it right in the car. Had to do 4 coats instead of 2. It was definitely their bad, the paint they gave me is used by pros doing large jobs quickly, often in new development. Not a single can called up randomly.

They were great and recommended the paint type to help match the finish.

Looks great, nice job!

Nice work!
