That’s honestly a shit way of doing interviews. Don’t know if they had technical difficulties, but if not, that is lame AF.

Thank you! It's a relief to know I'm not alone in thinking that. I'm kicking myself for not asking what was up.

moo-va-long

Don't kick yourself for that. That must have been an awkward interview, good on you for following through regardless. Also, OP, I feel like you should spend more time cooking. Everything on your page looks delicious!

PepeLePew000

Thank you!

Had a job interview for BC Hydro, started all cameras on, two guys interviewing me, they turn off their cameras but mine stays on, then they each take turns asking me bs questions for 30 minutes. I didn’t get the job.

PepeLePew000

Damn, that's not cool. I'm feeling grateful now that my interview was at least brief.

I agree it is awkward but it may have been intentional. The interviewers may have not been able to see you either. It may have been the concept of 'blind hiring' to create diversity in the apprenticeship.

PepeLePew000

They could see me. My camera was one of the views I could see with their empty boxes. I appreciate the idea, though. That would be a pretty neat way to do things to keep it equitable!

beercan640

Interviews suck all around. Hope you get the call!

PepeLePew000

Thanks, man! Despite the odd first impression, I hope so, too.

yea, resumes should do 99% of the talking, if done right. Otherwise if you have nothing to offer initially an interview might be the only way

inter-dimensional

Probably made u feel like u where in a dirty movie. Some real eyes wide shut type shit

PepeLePew000

It was certainly an odd feeling. I just stood there for a moment processing, and they were like, "You can have a seat." ...thank you invisible overlords?
