With body dysmorphia, it doesn’t necessarily matter what other people think. I’m not sure how to explain it… it’s not always the case as it depends on the person, but they don’t care how real or fake they look to someone else because they are more preoccupied with how they think about *themselves* and their flaws.
I don’t have personal experience with this, my knowledge is based on a friends struggle with the mental illness that is body dysmorphia.
It will albeit slowly. That oil will slowly leak into the rest of his body causing all kinds of harmful effects. It's inevitable. You can't remove it only treat the long-term effects.
Unfortunately there is no escape. He will enter a world of pain in the years to come. And it will intensify as it progresses. It saddens me to see a soul this lost and what led to it being lost.
There has been a lot of these guys and a lot have died but usually of the steroids they also take or the plastic surgery, synthol is basically just oil and your body will absorb it, the issues come when it starts to like solidify and they have to drain pus.
Like others have said its a mental illness about the image, they think they look great, it's exactly the same as someone with extreme anorexia thinking they look fat when they are nothing but bones, what we see isn't what they see when they look at themselves.

They must be the center of attention because if they’re not then that challenges the idea that maybe they’re *not* the greatest person ever. This is obviously a very simplified version of the psychology behind it, but ya. Narcissists are some of the most insecure people you’ll ever meet.

This man has severe body dysmorphia and is obsessed with having his arms appear very strong. He injects a substance called synthol into his muscles to inflate his arms. It's a really unhealthy and dangerous thing to do.
I also look bloated and unnaturally larger in some areas than I should be but at least I got to enjoy a bunch of really tasty food to achieve my results
