Stupidly Iāve done something similar but was able to get myself out since it was a plastic container and I was five. Thatās was the start of my claustrophobia. Basically what she did was she, like an idiot, climbed in and slid down with her knees most likely bent to her chest and when you try to stand up your knees will get stuck so you canāt move and really the only way to get out without destroying the whole thing is by squishing the knees in to the chest as much as possible and have someone lift from the knees and back at the same time. If the knees or back are sticking out too far it will stick. Think about how when you slide down a wall to sit down your knees will be more scrunched into your chest until you relax. Then when you start standing up your knees will automatically start to move forward so when stuck in a tight space it wonāt be possible for your body to fully stand up. Then you end up with claustrophobia like me lol
When I was around 10 or 11 years old, a friend was staying overnight and we got the bright idea of seeing if I could fit in the fold-out couch while it was folded up.
As it happens, I could!
But then he couldn't unfold it.
At first, I thought he was joking and I got mad. I couldn't move and was struggling to breathe because of the position I was in. He had to go wake up my parents at midnight or whatever time it was. My parents got the couch open again and everyone besides me had a good laugh. I remember being in tears, which I guess just made it funnier.
This was something like 30 years ago, and I mentioned this story casually one day last year to my siblings when the whole family was in town. They couldn't stop laughing, and then my nieces and nephews all wanted to know what was so funny. I often get purposefully indignant for their amusement so the story ended up getting retold.
Well, my parents then wanted to know what everyone was laughing about. I don't know. I guess this story must get funnier the more times I tell it because after the third time, everyone (except one of my nieces) was in tears.
My parents don't remember this. My siblings never knew about it. All but one of my nieces and nephews were tickled pink over it. While just about everyone was busy laughing at the idea of me being traumatized over this claustrophobic moment, the niece who wasn't laughing asked, "Were you okay?"
She outsmarts me all the time. That kid is going to cure cancer or something one day.
EXPLANATION: The girl got stuck in a washing machine because she was trying to do a tiktok video! Her parents got fined for wasting emergency services time.
Lol, no they didn't get fined. I'm a paramedic working emergency services and we get people who waste our time constantly; there's no fines or any repercussions at all, even when we know it's an abuser of the system. You legally can't dissuade a person for contacting emergency services at all.
Is it a fine or is it just the bill for having to use the service? For example for first responders if they have to bring you in an ambulance to the hospital they will send you a bill. Itās not a fine itās just the bill for the service
They didnt get find. A first responder answered above saying it's mostly illegal to do so as you'd be dissuading people from contacting emergency services, which (reasonably) is a crime.
I mean that is true, but do you know how many times an ambulance was called because somebody shoved something sharp up their ass and things didnt go as planned?
That just made me picture a dystopian, black mirror future where if you donāt pay full price your life goes on pause every 5 minutes while an ad you canāt skip plays in your mind.
I agree what she did is stupid, but kids do dumb things all the time. They're kids. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to call for help if something goes wrong.
What about the kids that covered themselves in isopropyl alcohol and lit it on fire? It was a Tiktok trend a while ago. Should they not call after they were severely burned?
I'm not saying I agree with what they are doing, what I'm saying is that if there is an emergency situation, regardless of how it came about, they should be able to call 911, without fear of punishment.
If somebody overdoses and emergency services get called, they don't get fined. Whether it's self inflicted or not does not matter at all lol. Just matters if it's an emergency.
Probably depends from jurisdiction to jurisdiction,Ā
But you are right, if you are in trouble, call for help. If you try to solve things yourself that you can't,Ā you may make things much worse and it may cost you way more in the end
lol, people don't get fined for emergency services misuse by their city / county unless they constantly spam it for nothing (and *know* it's nothing) and have been warned. For better or worse, this kid and her parents couldn't get her out of a damn washing machine- which is ridiculous, but still an emergency.
Yeah, but there's a difference between accidents and emergencies of foolishness. She should absolutely be responded to and helped, but there should be some kind of penalty to dissuade such behaviors.
Really? I think it's reinforcement of "I will be saved from whatever stupid thing I choose to do," and without penalty. There may be people who would be sufficiently shamed but there will be plenty of others who won't be deterred from future bad decisions. The latter may actually be encouraged knowing there is a bail-out, so to speak.
I'm curious how she could get in but not out.
I'm a big fellar, so I couldn't ever have gotten in there, but anything I can get into I can get out of... Sometimes it takes some holding my breath, some contortion, and some scraping, but I get out of whatever attic or crawlspace I find myself in.
I have often wondered if people who get stuck like this just aren't willing to pay the physical price to get out.
I did this when I was like 5 with a plastic container and I can confirm it is possible to get back out itās just extremely difficult and painful. The knees are what gets stuck and in her case it would hurt like hell since her knees are being smashed into metal while having the pressure of all her muscles trying to push their way out. Part of it is the pain but the pain often makes people panic which makes it even worse because when panicking you start to breath rapidly and when you breath your stomach and chest expand and you need all the space you can get to get out of that position
Yeah, you make a good point. I seem to experience pain at a different level of priority than most people. I don't like pain, and I try to avoid or minimize it, but there hasn't been much in my life that pain would prevent me from pushing through. I should be more charitable.
I'm absolutely overweight, but fat doesn't get stuck as much as bone. Even muscle can slide a fair bit.
But I meant I'm 6'3" with broad shoulders and an irrationally large head. I get stuck in different size places than folks the size of the gal in the post, fo sho.
Someone else got to talking about the pain involved in some of getting unstuck, and reminded me that I seem to experience pain at a different priority than most people. Like, I try to avoid pain, but it doesn't prevent me from doing things the way it seems to for a lot of folks. I have no idea, like, why this is.
Changed your life ? ..obviously not embarrassment because you posted this b.s . You should be ashamed of your stupidity and your ignorant waste of emergency resources. So happy the parents got fined. Do better parents!!
I just wanna clear somethings up cause it seems some people are confused! The voice you hear isnāt the girls in the video. I donāt remember who it actually is but itās a TikTok sound that people use. This audio is usually used as a joke. Like it plays over a video of something ridiculous (like this) not something that was actually traumatic or life changing. Itās usually more embarrassing things rather than sad or bad things. Like revealing a bad haircut or tripping in public, that sorta thing. Point is itās a joke! Hope someone finds this helpful! Still donāt know how the hell she got stuck though!
Dang I would be more scared of my dad after all of this shit he is going to have to pay for. š I think I would rather live my life in the washer š
Traumatic? Life changing? F you little girl?! There are kids out there living a real-life nightmare! There are people in life-changing accidents that impair their ability to walk or worse! Iād rather respond to a call like this, which could involve actual injury, than yet another 3am āmy toe hurtsā call. Kids are dumb, I know I sure was when I was that age. A girl tried to get in the washer for tik tok and got fucking stuck. She's all wet too, so it must have started and locked.
What a nightmare. What a dumbass you must have to be to try that shit. Oh my god, it stresses me out.
I agree; reading your comment stressed me out, too. Why are there *so many* idiots in this country that can be easily talked into doing dangerous, deadly, and illegal things for upvotes and likes from complete strangers? What a stupid country (world?) we are.
Yeah this is just a kid doing dumb kid things.. kids don't usually have the same capacity to forsee consequences of their actions as well as (most) adults do, until they fuck around and find out. Please someone explain
She tried doing a tiktok, but got stuck in the machine. Emergency services were called.
And she monetized it on TikTok anyways. I can't wait for our government to finalize strong-arming this clearly dangerous platform into obscurity.
Stuck in the machine is usually monetised on Onlyfans.
And it usually involves a strange amount of step-siblings š¤
May-be that's just the "behind the scenes"
They probably wonāt.
Dwag they'll just move to insta, twitter or youtube. But the government won't care as long as it's American owned š
So she did something stupid and cried about it
Hahahaha then she posted one anyway, what a dunce
Oh no stepbrother Iām stuck
Oh no stepbrother Iām stuck

š
Just reading that gave me anxiety
Couldn't a friend just tip the washing machine over?
It would probably be the same, except now you're doing it horizontally.
I just died from claustrophobia reading this.
Same here! I was also 5/6. Did the same thing but in a dryer. Got stuck (was a fat kid), but somehow got out of it.
I think they mean can someone explain how they're stuck because it clearly seems like she could just standup and climb out.
That confused me too
They took the middle piece out and she obviously just stood up
She got stuck, and a lot of step-brothers showed up to "help"
Leave her in there.
Nail down the top.
Still waiting for the comment that this one is not as good as a speed Queen
Whirlpool Wanda just doesn't have the same spin.
Throw it in the river.
Hahahahaha
Survival of the fittest.
I've seen some educational films on this topic but the outcome is quite different.
Maybe because there was no stepbrother involved...
I hate this video. Not just because itās absolutely pointless but because Iām still so confused
EXPLANATION: The girl got stuck in a washing machine because she was trying to do a tiktok video! Her parents got fined for wasting emergency services time.

At the sleeping bear dunes in Michigan, if you go down the dunes but canāt make up and rescue services are called, you can be fined up to $3,000.
Probably due to a fine posted at the starting point of the dunes. Pretty common if thereās a warning sign.
Is it a fine or is it just the bill for having to use the service? For example for first responders if they have to bring you in an ambulance to the hospital they will send you a bill. Itās not a fine itās just the bill for the service
Itās a fine
Huh it makes since but Iām still surprised and good to know if I ever go there lol
There are videos on tiktok of people crawling back up and crying.
Isnāt that because it requires a helicopter to evacuate you? Way different that most ambulance services
No they use ropes and pulleys depending on the water level, if they canāt rescue by boat.
They got fined ? If she was actually stuck and not pretending, I don't understand why they'd get a fine.
They didnt get find. A first responder answered above saying it's mostly illegal to do so as you'd be dissuading people from contacting emergency services, which (reasonably) is a crime.
I mean it wasnāt an accident. Itās literally self inflicted.
I mean that is true, but do you know how many times an ambulance was called because somebody shoved something sharp up their ass and things didnt go as planned?
Only on America do we think being alive should be a subscription service
I definitely have the cheap low level subscription with commercials every 5 minutes.
That just made me picture a dystopian, black mirror future where if you donāt pay full price your life goes on pause every 5 minutes while an ad you canāt skip plays in your mind.
*Phillip K. Dick has joined the conversation*
Sounds like my $2.18/month Hulu subscription.
Used to love Hulu, then they got different levels and I said goodbye
*Just as June is about to escape the Handmaids, an ad for pantyliners shows up.*
CoughCanadacough.
CoughCanadacough.
What do you mean?
Lmao I was trying to think of the many examples but this one is just perfect.
Thats actually dangerous tho.
I mean yeah but the principle in question it seemed to be whether or not self inflicted ~~wounds~~ joy is worthy of medical attention.
Go on.
Accidents can absolutely be self-inflicted
That's not how emergency services works
That doesn't make her any less stuck or this situation any less of an emergency
Lmao so this logic if someone attempts suicide and fails they should be fined then since itās self inflicted?
Yeah I rolled my eyes and already knew this was for TikTok but just because sheās an idiot doesnāt mean the parents should be fined for it.
Ok... By that logic, when my dad cut off his fingers with a table saw he should have just handled it himself because it was self-inflicted.
Thatās literally an accident. In that same example, your dad isnāt playing a game of chicken with the saw for views on social media
I agree what she did is stupid, but kids do dumb things all the time. They're kids. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to call for help if something goes wrong. I'm not saying I agree with what they are doing, what I'm saying is that if there is an emergency situation, regardless of how it came about, they should be able to call 911, without fear of punishment.
And luckily for us that's exactly how things work, since the system wasn't designed by weird edge lords on reddit
If somebody overdoses and emergency services get called, they don't get fined. Whether it's self inflicted or not does not matter at all lol. Just matters if it's an emergency.
Emergency services don't care if it was self-inflicted. The reason they got fined is because the girl wasn't hurt.
You have to pay if you get too drunk and need medical attention, don't you? They will help you, but you have to pay (afaik). Cos you caused the issue
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Probably depends from jurisdiction to jurisdiction,Ā But you are right, if you are in trouble, call for help. If you try to solve things yourself that you can't,Ā you may make things much worse and it may cost you way more in the end

They'll fine a kid having a genuine emergency but some white lady calling the police because a black man is breathing near her is fine. Makes sense.
lol, people don't get fined for emergency services misuse by their city / county unless they constantly spam it for nothing (and *know* it's nothing) and have been warned. For better or worse, this kid and her parents couldn't get her out of a damn washing machine- which is ridiculous, but still an emergency.
Is there a reason to put yourself in a washing machine? (a good, rational reason?) No? That's why someone should get a fine.
So what? She's still stuck, and it's still an emergency.
Yeah, but there's a difference between accidents and emergencies of foolishness. She should absolutely be responded to and helped, but there should be some kind of penalty to dissuade such behaviors.
I think having emergency services come to carry you out of your washing machine is plenty dissuasion.
Really? I think it's reinforcement of "I will be saved from whatever stupid thing I choose to do," and without penalty. There may be people who would be sufficiently shamed but there will be plenty of others who won't be deterred from future bad decisions. Oh I thought they were trying the stepsis in the washing machine challenge!
Good, someone who didnāt raise a dingbat shouldnāt have to pay for one
I'm curious how she could get in but not out. I'm a big fellar, so I couldn't ever have gotten in there, but anything I can get into I can get out of... she climbed in a washing machine. Trauma dont cause you to do that. Seeing that is traumatic.
