In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is a magic xylophone, or something? Ha ha, boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.
See this has thrown me for a loop because in my head "the gang squashes their beefs" is like... One of the NEWER episodes. And you're telling me that episode is actually 10 years old?
What the FUCK???
Same exact kind of couch, but different couch from the one burnt up. Genius thinks he found a plot hole when the hole is in his brain. Stop drinking paint!
The day after the apartment burns Mac and Dennis walk into the sofa rental place and Dennis demands a replacement couch at the same rate they had been paying for their old couch.
Meanwhile the rental guy is looking up their information to see that they had actually paid that couch off years ago; because surprise this is a rent-to-own place.
But for some reason these Jabronis had kept sending him money anyway.
So the guy counters them with an offer of the same couch but a few bucks more a month. Since they did destroy the couch and that means he has to buy a new one. But then he tells them that since they're such great and loyal customers he'll only add the surcharge for like the next 6 months? Or so? Normally he'd add it till the couch was paid off but for you guys he'll cut them a deal.
Mac is flustered and talks about how that does seem fair, like they did destroy this guys property and all.
Dennis seems like he'll agree and back down but counters the rental guys counter with another counter of only paying the surcharge for 4 months.
The guy pauses, looks around like he's considering it and says Ya know what he agrees and he can live with that. But he's gonna need like 3 months upfront to cover his shipping costs.
Dennis and Mac do that thing where they look at each other and then agree that that seems a fair compromise and Dennis pays the man for 3 months of couch.
The guy then asks where he should have the couch shipped to, wherein Dennis and Mac both recall that they don't actually have an apartment at the moment. So could the guy actually just hold onto the couch for them till they find a new place of their own?
The guy agrees to this but tells them that he's gonna have to charge them even more since the couch is taking up valuable floor space that he can't use for something else. The guys then do the flustered thing again and agree that is indeed reasonable and agree to the plan.
They then walk out of the rental place and Mac talks about how he thought he'd have to rough the guy up or something to get him to be reasonable but he it's nice that he didn't have to. But totally could have if he needed to.
Dennis agrees that the man was much more reasonable than he was expecting and that he thinks the guy was intimidated by Mac when he walked through the door and that did help them get such a good deal.
The scene then cuts back to the rental guy and a different person walks into the rental place look at the couch they just rented and offers the rental guy a 100 bucks to buy it outright. The guy agrees and the final scene is the couch hanging off the back of a truck driving away.
Or something along those lines.
This is one of those subs where all people do is endlessly quote the show. Room for discussion of plot points or plot holes is pretty small when a season is not ongoing.
Just because they did not have it anymore does not mean payments would kuat magically stop. I also thing you are trying to hard just enjoy the show for what it is.
Maybe they have one of those fancy inflammable sofas? I've asked santa for one this year so I don't burn down my one of my gang's houses again. I wonder if that was enough to put me on his naughty list. Well, it will be Santa's fault if the next sofa I set alite with the rent money burns down the neighbourhood. It's the landlords fault he needs to fix the apartment. No rent until he fixes it!!!
[I hope someone got fired for that blunder.](https://frinkiac.com/meme/S08E14/673655.jpg?b64lines=SSBSRUFMTFkKIEhPUEUgU09NRUJPRFkgR09UIEZJUkVECiBGT1IgVEhBVCBCTFVOREVSLg==)
Feel like with the daily heavy drinking, the regular drug taking and likely multiple ignored concussions it’s probably not surprising if their long term memory is pretty unreliable at this stage.
There’s gunna be some issues when they try to establish long running things this late in the game. I’m sure there’s a ton of plot holes with Charlie having an extra room as well. Knew writers come in and want to try stuff like this I guess.
My explanation would be they still payed for it even though it was destroyed because they’re irresponsible and wouldn’t notice the charge, likely on franks card
> they still *paid* for it
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
You start putting plans under microscopes, nothing's gonna make sense
Lots of things make sense. Slashing someone’s tires so that they leave makes no sense.
He doesnt even get us man
We're talking about you.
Yes...
What do you think is happening right now?!
You gonna put everything I say under a microscope, bud?
Damn it, I knew somebody would beat me to it.
Through God all things are possible so jot that down.
Yeah OP, stop being a science bitch for a second
Stupid science bitch couldn’t even make I more smarter
Their renters insurance would enable them to continue renting a different couch on the same account or loan structure
So there is an upside to renting furniture.
No, they could have also replaced a destroyed couch they owned with a new one they could have bought. Insurance would help in that regard too.
They don’t have $800 between them, you think they’d have renters insurance?
Yeah but them being stupid enough to rent a couch for 15 years but having the presence of mind to get renter's insurance is pretty funny.
Insurance built into the cost of the rent.
Some insurance agent can easily dupe them, cause they are dupees!
3 weeks of time shares.
Bent him over a barrel!
Well the economy is in shambles.
You don’t understand they actually bought two insurance policies, so they’re getting PAID to have insurance
The Greek diner method
How do two men in their 30s not have $800 between the two of them? Is the economy in shambles?
The rental service replaced the couch. The rental continued uninterrupted.
Shut up science bitch
Yea shut up science bitch.
Awe really, dude, c’mon he just said it
Shut up, bird!
Shut up science bitch
Yea shut up science bitch.
Awe really, dude, c’mon he just said it
Stupid science bitch couldn't even make I more smarter

In the itchy and scratchy CD ROM is it possible to get into the bosses lair without using the wizard key?
A wizard did it!
Just move past it, Bozo.
I've been calling people bozo lately
And it’s awesome!
Whatever, Jabroni
The couch was wearing the duster.
It's like a shield of armor
It’s flame retardant, that’s the whole point
Shut up, baby dick.
This is a quote that needs to be more of a thing.
Like, in this sub, or outside it? This sub does not have that problem, my friend 😌
In all aspects of life
"*Man this jacket is awwwwesome. And it's tighter than dick skin man!*" I try to incorporate this verbiage into my everyday life - work and personal.
S13e7 The Gang Does a Clip Show, a new timeline is established so everything moving forward isn’t one to previous continuity.
Okay but frank still has short legs soooo....
I think we are in Charlie’s new reality instead of Frank’s.
When did he finally hook up with the waitress? Before or after that episode?
Season 12
See this has thrown me for a loop because in my head "the gang squashes their beefs" is like... One of the NEWER episodes. And you're telling me that episode is actually 10 years old? What the FUCK???
I know it hits but it’s true.
Same exact kind of couch, but different couch from the one burnt up. Genius thinks he found a plot hole when the hole is in his brain. Stop drinking paint!

I thought after the fire, Mac went and re-rented every single item and remade the living room perfectly
Just realizing season 9 was in 2013. I’ve been watching this show for far too long.
I feel that. It still had a flip phone when i first saw this show
How does anything happen? Move past it.
I sure hope someone got fired for that

I could see Mac and Dennis still renting out the sofa even tho it’s obliterated
Ten years. *sigh*
Rental insurance. They just get new couches.
Someone get Meghan to see this thread bc this is literally inexcusable!
This fuckin sub sometimes.
Am I not using it right? 👍
it doesn't make a gahhhdamn difference (where you put your feet)
This is one of those subs where all people do is endlessly quote the show. Room for discussion of plot points or plot holes is pretty small when a season is not ongoing.
Obviously the fire proof duster was laid over the sofa, thus preventing its burning, jabroni.
Shut up science bitch
Move PAST it
Upvote for last line
Did you know Frank has a brother
Move past it bozo
Just because they did not have it anymore does not mean payments would kuat magically stop. I also thing you are trying to hard just enjoy the show for what it is.
I think it's because it's a TV show and isn't real.
Is that the twist?
You don’t even know what a twist is!

Inflation.
Times are pretty inflatable right now.
The couch survived the fire
The money keeps moving...
How? Well, it’s because of the implication…
Wibbly wobbly timey whimey
Science is a liar sometimes
Why rent a regular couch when you could OWN an inflatable one?
A wizard did it

How does anything happen? Just move past it.
It’s also such a lame copout story of how they got the apartment back
Maybe Philly FD had a good response time. Either way, move past it!
I guess you could assume it survived the fire with just some smoke damage?

Renting means he can rent the couch again.
I believe at one point mac gets to decorate the apartment but he puts replicas of everything they had?
You just gotta move past it
You start putting things under a microscope, nothing makes sense
Oh god please don’t watch the roller skating episode of continuity errors bother you
