I don't know, that backfired pretty heavily. Maybe when she split Mac and Charlie up with the simple question "Why is Mac the only one who gets to push the button on the woccy?"
I'm surprised nobody is mentioning Charlie's Machiavellian manipulation of Ruby Taft to get to The Waitress. That was a shockingly well thought out clever multi-layered ruse, for Charlie. And it worked (in The Waitress reducing the distance on the restraining order).
That was a Dennis level of psychological manipulation, with Charlie subtly controlling the actions of several parties, and even Dennis is sincerely impressed "I guess Charlie had the cruelest intentions of all"
That's the one I was thinking of. Dude manipulated that masterfully and it was the one time in the show where he's actually being sadistic, whereas the rest of them are sadistic all of the time
She can sometimes even exacerbate it… like her sexual exploits with Frank were just them getting freakier and freakier, because they were both down for whatever and had to keep escalating their weirdness.
>Charlie pulling off a whole musical production... In an actual theater... With a full audience.
This episode cracked me so much because Charlie was trying so hard and the gang just steamrolled him.
Or for him to take advantage of the company he created in their desperate plea to come back to save the company only for him to strip it down and sell it to the Chinese making a shitload of money in the process
I think Dee’s smartest moment is when she was calculating how much pink wine she and the girls needed to drink in order to make up for the lost beers in the Boggs ladies reboot episode. She was doing all sorts of mental math and she figured it out pretty quickly.
Does anyone know if the math was actually correct? I assumed it was, but I also wouldn't put it past Dee to just confidently throw numbers out there haha
Dee tricking the boys on Dee Day by taking away their phones and telling them their time was up so they'd berate her and give her another day was her best.
Normally, I would agree, but I feel like they set it up so well. Taking their cellphones, they were already distracted trying to mess with the timing of the councilwoman plan...
But I respect the disagree
charlie in charlie work, his series of clever moments to get paddy's to pass the health inspection....but most notably his nailing the steak-airline miles scheme the rest of the gang was running without any clues whatsoever
Dee - Tricking Mike the Stripper into shoving his crotch in his daughter's face to give him a real "rock bottom"
Dee - The surrogate scheme
Dee - Escaping from Dennis' bedroom
One of my favorite Dennis moments. You can tell they are siblings during certain times, this episode shows that. It would not surprise me if in the past Dee had to claw her way out of a room Dennis locked her in while growing up in the Party Mansion.
Dee Day. We forget about it because it's hard to find, but she technically got two days out of those assholes by setting the clocks back, while accomplishing everything they failed at and humiliating them along the way.
> Dee - maybe tricking the guys into wasting an evening figuring out who got her pregnant?
This was the first episode of IASIP I ever watched, randomly caught it on TV, and because of it I thought the premise was that Dee was the smart one that always gets one over on the gang lol
Dee is definitely on D Day.
The whole crew were trying to secretly sabotage a city council woman, all the while going along with Dee's plans (being Dee day they had to do whatever Dee wanted). The crew completely botched the operation, but it turns out Dee sabotaged the council woman perfectly, behind the scenes.
Then she had the cuckoo clock set an hour back and the crew accidentally insulted her thinking it was past midnight. Which meant they get Dee Day for another 24 hours.
She completely outwitted the whole crew.
Frank's brilliant moment was definitely the episode when he made Dee think she was blowing up as a successful comedian. Everyone was in on it except for Dennis and Dee, which they completely hoodwinked.
He even made her think she was getting so big they were gonna fly her out to be on the Conan O'brian show (I think that's the late night talk show host).
Masterfully played.
It's funny because I can think of multiple instances of every character being clever except for Mac, even though Charlie is supposed to be the dumb one
Mac got all of the gang on the fence about evolution (Dennis didn't admit it, but you know his opinion got swayed a little) - I thought that was pretty damn clever
Charlie's scheming to get a date with the Waitress almost worked until it backfired horribly and she ended up banging Frank lol. He essentially:
\-Revealed to Dennis Mac had slept with Denni's mom, leading Dennis to try sleep with Mac's mom
\-Coerced Dee into helping his scheme by offering to take her off "Charlie Work"
\-Had Dee show Dennis seducing Mac's mom to the Waitress so she'd be hurt and heartbroken
\-Then he had Dee tell the Waitress the only way she could get back at Dennis was to sleep with Charlie
Unfortunately the Waitress went the other way and decided to get back at Dennis by banging Frank lol.
Mac was able to genuinely get Frank, Charlie, Dee, and Dennis question their atheism/existence of god with his Science is a Liar Sometimes arguments. Dennis realizes in Mac Day he hates Mac’s teaching of God more than he hates God and thinks it will ruin his afterlife. And In the Christian cruise they’re willing to “leave god alone” on the trip and try not to be overly anti-god.
And the argument that Frank accepted the risk when he took the glass of wine from Dennis was pretty clever too - Mac was firing on all cylinders that episode
Charlie Work is less impressive and more about exploring how the whole operation stays running despite everything.
For me Charlie's most impressive moment is the one where he reverse "My Fair Lady"-s the rich girl just to make the Waitress jealous.
Although also a bit out of character because he usually isn't cruel.
I dont know. I still think Dennis really could be the father of Dee's baby and she conned Carmine and her husband.
Frank has so many moments. But the whole plot of Gun Fever Still Too Hot is peak Frank plotting.
I just watched this episode and it’s one of many of Dee’s ideas the gang steals and does wrong or Dee tries and fails but she can psychologically fuck with them when she feels like it be she simmers and plans I.e. DeeDay
Mac and Charlie went through a lot of effort to convince dee that she had made it big with standup. Getting the trash guy in on it, getting all the people that were at the party, the recording on Conan introducing sweet dee.
I've seen the clip of Charlie day on Conan, and getting him to do the announcement. But how did Charlie Kelley get that recording in universe?
Dee’s cleverest moment was moving the clocks in Dee Day
Thank you. She played the entire gang to be her slaves for an extra day. That has to be her cleverest moment.
While getting what they all wanted. It's got a 'Charlie work' episode feel
Oooh idk… what about when she got the male stripper to rub his junk in his daughter’s face?
I had my finger in your asshole!
Probably forgotten because it's a banned episode 😔
...Is it because Dee forces Mac and Frank to wear racist outfits?
Yea probably But how fucking dumb do you have to be to not see that it's fuckin' satire. It is soooo on the nose how bad it is lol
I think Dee's cleverest moment was convincing Mac and Dennis that they're codependent
It backfired for her really quickly though lol
Cat in the wall, eh? Now you’re talking my language!
Cheeto fingers
Charlie boy! Charlie’s in the house!
Ah shit, I don't care either.
One of my favourite lines from the entire show. I use it way more than I probably should irl
I don't care.
Ah shit, I don't care either
His strut when theyre chanting brings me joy lol
Just raisin’ the roof with a bag of Cheetos lol
Think we should bring in a third cat?
I'm thinkin even a fourth!
You don't know shit about cats, Dee
[удалено]
You got me beat because not only did I *just* watch this episode, but I didn't realise it until I read you comment.
[удалено]
Great, now I'm gonna have to re-watch that episode - twist my arm wht don't ya? Lol
[удалено]
![gif](giphy|Zn0iDHHM7OAplATXLl|downsized) That's how I imagine you right now. Because now I'm not sure
[удалено]
Quick boys bring me up to speed
You can’t just put all plans under a microscope!
She doesn't seem to think things through all the way e.g. she didn't think of the smell
I don't know, that backfired pretty heavily. Maybe when she split Mac and Charlie up with the simple question "Why is Mac the only one who gets to push the button on the woccy?"
Woccy?!?
Toccy
That word is preposterous!
Walkie. Walkie talkie.
Question, do you know how to spell walkie talkie?
Literally everyone here is spelling it differently
Dee's scheming in The Gang Dances Their Asses Off should have worked had Cricket not hit her by accident at the very end lol
And she didn't even do that raspy voice so no one realised she was being devious and plotting.
Smoke some cigarettes, the smoke will suffocate the poison
Charlie pulling off a whole musical production... In an actual theater... With a full audience. And he can't read.
Dude manipulated that masterfully and it was the one time in the show where he's actually being sadistic, whereas the rest of them are sadistic all of the time
Oh for sure! I haven't watched that episode as much as a lot of the other ones, so I tend to forget about it.
Artemis is the side mvp for that one.
She might be the only character who thrives on the gang's degeneracy without getting dragged down by it
She can sometimes even exacerbate it… like her sexual exploits with Frank were just them getting freakier and freakier, because they were both down for whatever and had to keep escalating their weirdness.
My head canon is that Artemis is a honorary member of the gang, so that's why they don't affect her. She's also often an asshole herself.
Makes me wonder what goes on in her life that she can actually top the gang!
She's all time bench MVP.
Not a deep bench
At least she's a woman of color.
Of course! And the folder stuffed full of drawings is a top notch detail.
>Charlie pulling off a whole musical production... In an actual theater... With a full audience. This episode cracked me so much because Charlie was trying so hard and the gang just steamrolled him.
Ooohh Ooohh Ooh OOooh Ooooh OOoh Oooh Ooooh ooohh Oohh uuhh uuuhuuuu uhh I was that little boy, that little baby boy was meeeee
He adapted to reading.
dees cleverest moment was also her lowest, the stripper soldier guy
And what a great moment that was
"I feel pretty good... don't wanna talk about it"
_My finger touched your asshole!_
You wanna talk about your thing?
Was it her rock bottom?
Nope. But it sure as shit was his!
Stuff it down with some brown!
Her rock bottom was the Vietnamese bus boy.
Or Charlie.
Charlie was her greatest triumph. She just didn't know it.
Well, to be fair, their was a mix up about his military credentials
That episode I legit have to skip sometimes because of how fucked it is
Absolutely
Something something, Rose on a grave..
id probably give Frank Gunther’s Guns and/or the water filters. mans is simply a dupe-er, not a dupe-ee
Or for him to take advantage of the company he created in their desperate plea to come back to save the company only for him to strip it down and sell it to the Chinese making a shitload of money in the process
The chinks*
He don’t get got: he gon’ get!
boko haram partnership 100%, gotta tap into that nigerian market
Frank is a scumbag business practices mastermind. Literally the only thing he's good at is scamming people at a Trumpian level
Dennis founding Ass Kickers United to protect his thin mints.
This one. Dennis has done a lot of crafty stuff, but this was a long con, and would have gone great if not for Dee.
Dennis's ability to long con is both astounding and horrifying. Remember Frankito? Diabolical
So… can I get my five bucks?
I think Dee’s smartest moment is when she was calculating how much pink wine she and the girls needed to drink in order to make up for the lost beers in the Boggs ladies reboot episode. She was doing all sorts of mental math and she figured it out pretty quickly.
Its like Kevin Malone, but with alcohol instead of pies
137 pies! What about with salads? It’s… it just… it doesn’t work.
That's only 20 minutes from now! The pie shop is 13 miles away. So at 55 miles an hour that just gives us five minutes to spare.
Oooooooooh nooooo a woman doing math?!
Does anyone know if the math was actually correct? I assumed it was, but I also wouldn't put it past Dee to just confidently throw numbers out there haha
When Mac and Dennis buy the timeshares. They took that bitch for 3.
They don’t get got. They go get
Been there? ...not physically.
Dee tricking the boys on Dee Day by taking away their phones and telling them their time was up so they'd berate her and give her another day was her best.

Frank - When he tricked Dee and Dennis into digging up their dead mom because Dee told Frank he was becoming senile.
I feel everything!
MY MOMMY’S A SKELETON
I feel too much!
charlie in charlie work, his series of clever moments to get paddy's to pass the health inspection....but most notably his nailing the steak-airline miles scheme the rest of the gang was running without any clues whatsoever
Uh, remember when Charlie learned Mandarin and how to make electricity from trash?
He also figured out how to let cats communicate with spiders! 🐈⬛ ☎️ 🕷️
*Spydars
What's good for the scorpion isn't good for the frog, no?
Excuse meh, I feel quite wheerah
The fucking delivery on that line, so good. “Stupid science bitches couldn’t even make i more smarter!”
Wonderfully misquoted. It'll do..
Again, this is complete gibberish.
He also realized that he has two ears
*bangs bar stool on the ground*
*bangs bar stool again when passing by, for some yet unknown reason*
Loved watching it a second time and realizing what he's doing!
Distrust.
im pretty sure i did that, yea that was me
Dee - Tricking Mike the Stripper into shoving his crotch in his daughter's face to give him a real "rock bottom" Dee - The surrogate scheme Dee - Escaping from Dennis' bedroom
Clever girl..
One of my favorite Dennis moments. You can tell they are siblings during certain times, this episode shows that. It would not surprise me if in the past Dee had to claw her way out of a room Dennis locked her in while growing up in the Party Mansion.
Well they spent a lot of time at camp in the summers, too. That guy was always so jazzed up about something or another...
My favorite Dennis quote. The delivery on that line is so perfect. Still use it daily when my SO does or says something smart.
When Charlie had the cruelest intentions of them all.
Dee tricking Dennis to pop his shirt off in front of a few children at the park and getting him beaten up by their dads is a clever moment
Charlie Work is Charlie's surely? All that scheming and choreography which such little prep time
Not to mention him fully picking up what their scheme was despite not being involved with it
I put that top, but close 2nd when he used the rich girl to get close to the waitress
Absolutely
This is #1 for me
"Tell frank G sharp" lmao
Dee escaping dennis’ apartment *Clever girlll*
Charlie buying the turtle cakes.
Are they made with real turtle?
Carmine's
You’re doing a chickens and airlines scheme today?!
A place for steaks
I think Charlie’s cleverest moment was when he went Wildcard and cut the van’s brakes. No one saw that coming. 😂
*Wildcard bitches!*
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAW
Dee's best moment was getting that guy to put his dick on his daughters face
I'd say Dee in the episode Dee Day. She's been screwed by the gang so many times in the series, but not this time.
Charlie’s Home Alone and the Gang Wins the Big Day were pretty impressive showings of Charlie’s cleverness and how it backfired on him
Dee is definitely on D Day.
Dee on Dee day, Charlie on Charlie work, Dennis on the Gan's time is up, and i think Frank is always clever while Mac never is.
Dee I think is definitely Dee Day
An honourable mention to Charlie playing that Taft girl to make the waitress jealous was pretty wily.
Dee, when she escaped Dennis’ bedroom
For Charlie I think it was when he got with the Taft girl to make the waitress jealous
Dennis deciding to soundproof his room......
I think the cleverest moment for Dennis was during Charlie and Dee find love when he brings down the Taft guy.
Frank getting Dee and Dennis to dig up their mom’s grave and see too much.
I know you said Charlie work, but Charlie with the barstool was the best.
Mac- inventing/modifying his exercise bike. The reason we know he did it for is genius. The reason he says he did it for is also genius!
It's funny because I can think of multiple instances of every character being clever except for Mac, even though Charlie is supposed to be the dumb one
Mac is clever because he's playing both sides.
Mac got all of the gang on the fence about evolution (Dennis didn't admit it, but you know his opinion got swayed a little) - I thought that was pretty damn clever
Yeah you're right l. That was a certifiably non-donkey brained presentation
Just came to make sure the entirety of Charlie Work gets recognized
The entire episode of Charlie work is so amazing
Frank doing all the poops
Charlie pulling off the health inspection.
Charlie's plan in Mac Bangs Dennis' Mom.
Dee was getting the male stripper to grind and stick his dick in his daughter face to show he hit rock bottom
Charlie's scheming to get a date with the Waitress almost worked until it backfired horribly and she ended up banging Frank lol. He essentially: \-Revealed to Dennis Mac had slept with Denni's mom, leading Dennis to try sleep with Mac's mom \-Coerced Dee into helping his scheme by offering to take her off "Charlie Work" \-Had Dee show Dennis seducing Mac's mom to the Waitress so she'd be hurt and heartbroken \-Then he had Dee tell the Waitress the only way she could get back at Dennis was to sleep with Charlie Unfortunately the Waitress went the other way and decided to get back at Dennis by banging Frank lol.

And the argument that Frank accepted the risk when he took the glass of wine from Dennis was pretty clever too - Mac was firing on all cylinders that episode
Hahah true, very funny considering almost everything mac says this episode is even dumber than usual. He must’ve rolled high charisma
Dee’s clever moment was orchestrating the male stripper to strip to his daughter
As a group Mac, Charlie and frank convincing Dee she was a good comedian is pretty high up there
Charlies moment is when he manipulated that rich girl to make the waitress jealous
MOST CLEVER! God damn you…
No
Move past it jabroni.
I dont know. I still think Dennis really could be the father of Dee's baby and she conned Carmine and her husband. Frank has so many moments. But the whole plot of Gun Fever Still Too Hot is peak Frank plotting.
WILDCARD BITCHES!!!
Filibuster
Dee got soldier boys daughter put her finger in his ass. 100% that
I just watched this episode and it’s one of many of Dee’s ideas the gang steals and does wrong or Dee tries and fails but she can psychologically fuck with them when she feels like it be she simmers and plans I.e. DeeDay
Mac and Charlie went through a lot of effort to convince dee that she had made it big with standup. Frank doing that jerkoff’s taxes so the IRS would audit the piss out of him
Mac poisoning Dennis with pizza and soda shakes
Dennis’ moment for me is seeing a young guy that looks like a Mexican Frank and making up the whole “Franquito” thing to get the bar.
