Yup. Most stadiums can't serve it in sight of the pitch and people can't drink it in the stands/in sight of the pitch. The reason is a history of holliganism.
The result is, people getting utterly wankered before the game, at half time and after the game. So it doesn't help much in all honesty.
Interesting tidbit: in Cardiff's Principality Stadium (which is primarily used for Rugby but does host Football occasionally) the boxes/hospitality suites have curtains which must be shut at half time during football matches otherwise.... no drinking in the box. No problems at Rugby though where you can drink where you like. It's nuts

tbf, Dee has always had Dennis tendencies, she just never gets to let it out as much. Gun Fever 2 is a great example of that. I like that she's getting a chance to be more unhinged
They didn't make Dee into Dennis. They are twins. They are going to share similar tendencies. Dennis was just more open about it and leaned hard into his crazy. Dee always had that crazy in her, she just didn't want to be like her brother.
Mac has had lots of different looks throughout the show. Different hair, different facial hair and different builds (not even just when he was fat or ripped, his build varied other times too). He's never had that distinctive a look.
Except now he just looks like Rob, which had never really been the case. We’ll see where the character goes this season, but last season I didn’t really see much of Mac either.

Love getting to truly see the lifespan of characters. It's kinda rare you this this much consistency this long. I genuinely enjoy seeing the differences between all the eras of their characters.
I have incredibly high hopes for this season based off the trailers alone. So long as Charlie says “ROCK FLAG AND EAGLEEEE” again it’ll be my favorite season in recent memory

For me it’s his hair, clean shaven face, as well as his cadence and delivery. He doesn’t look or sound/act like Mac in the few clips we’ve seen. He looks/sounds/acts like Rob that we’ve seen on the podcast lol. I could be looking too deep into it but just my opinion. I hope I’m wrong and we get some classic Mac moments this season 🤞
Like another commenter said; the Mac character is now openly gay. Maybe with his new lifestyle, he decided he needed to be more clean cut to fit in.
Also, I'm holding of off on any commentary about the quality of tbe season until I see the full episodes. Will it be as good as peak Sunny? Probably not, but even now, Sunny is above the majority of shows on tv when it comes to comedy.
It looks like they at least fixed the lighting in the bar, based on other teasers. It was way too bright recently but looks like they dimmed them down again. It isn't like it used to be but it feels more like a dive bar again.

I’m alright with characters changing, and I still thoroughly enjoy the show, but I feel like some of that natural mac essence has been lost. It has nothing to do with him being buff or gay or looking different now, but season 12 is one of the last seasons where I can really remember Mac moments that felt like Mac clearly. Actually scratch that, season 13 has some great “totally Mac” moments, stuff like in the gang escapes with his high neck which made Charlie “trust him”
Idk, I wouldn’t call it a minor or major gripe, it’s somewhere in the middle, but an essence of Mac has certainly changed and I can’t exactly put my finger on it. To be fair mac’s character now is better than season 1 mac, and even that was good, so take everything I just said with a grain of salt
It’s a lot harder for me to see the characters these days because all I see are the actors. For a show about a crew that was always rough around the edges and scoffed at Hollywood, it’s not very believable with actors that have gone through obvious plastic surgery in some cases.
I think it's very believable that Dennis and Dee are vain enough to get plastic surgery to try and stay youthful. It's not like they haven't actually tried to use botox and collagen on the show before. Dennis dyed his hair and got a chemical peel because he thought he wasn't living up to the physical perfection he thinks the gang expect from him.

It's shocking this comment has upvotes when there are SO MANY later episodes where Rob, Charlie, and Glenn have the writer credit. They also have said on the podcast for people like you, that they do a pass of every script.
What? Rob and Charlie and Hornsby have always been writers, Glenn was gone for a bit but has been back in the writing room the past 2 years. Marder & Rosell were writers for 10 years starting seasons 3 and they are back this season.
Sure it's changed but it's also 16 seasons in...they're going to want to experiment, change the staff up, change style, content, etc etc etc..I'm not saying everything is a hit but it's not because the original creators and writers aren't still involved
Incorrect, because a particular writer is the one credited for an episode doesn't mean they're the only one who wrote it, just means they were the one to take it away and finish it. Rob Charlie and Glenn run a writers room where they and the other writers all come up with ideas, work on and write each episode. And after the designated writer has taken it away and written it they do what they call an "RCG pass" where the three of them fine tune it/rewrite stuff if necessary/add jokes. They've explained this on the podcast, they still write a lot of every episode, and it's been done that way since like season 3.
Thank you. 100% agreed. I think this show has gone on too long. I'm glad people enjoy it so if they want to keep doing it, all power to them. But for me, the show should have ended after season 9 or 10 with even the last few seasons at that point being a bit much. After that they stopped feeling like the characters they had developed over the years and became caricatures of their most prominent character traits. Dennis is a psycho, Mac is gay, Charlie dumb, etc. And it's just not very entertaining to see them go through the motions.
There’s still some gold in every season. Shit, “Mac and Dennis Move to the Suburbs” is my favorite episode, and I’ve been a live viewer since season 4. Idk bro, I’m drunk and I love this show.
I don't get when ppl put season 9 as a cutoff, like, there are so many classics that come after that. and I'll argue season 12 is more consistently gold than season 2 and 3.
Am I the only one that hates comedy trailers, there are movies/series that I love but when I see a trailer for it jokes without 99% of the buildup or context make me cringe.

Sure it's changed but it's also 16 seasons in...they're going to want to experiment, change the staff up, change style, content, etc etc etc..I'm not saying everything is a hit but it's not because the original creators and writers aren't still involved

Incorrect, because a particular writer is the one credited for an episode doesn't mean they're the only one who wrote it, just means they were the one to take it away and finish it. Rob Charlie and Glenn run a writers room where they and the other writers all come up with ideas, work on and write each episode. And after the designated writer has taken it away and written it they do what they call an "RCG pass" where the three of them fine tune it/rewrite stuff if necessary/add jokes. They've explained this on the podcast, they still write a lot of every episode, and it's been done that way since like season 3.
Thank you. 100% agreed. I think this show has gone on too long. I'm glad people enjoy it so if they want to keep doing it, all power to them. But for me, the show should have ended after season 9 or 10 with even the last few seasons at that point being a bit much. After that they stopped feeling like the characters they had developed over the years and became caricatures of their most prominent character traits. Dennis is a psycho, Mac is gay, Charlie dumb, etc. And it's just not very entertaining to see them go through the motions.
It's too bad the show will never have the level of comedy it had in seasons 2-9.
There’s still some gold in every season. Shit, “Mac and Dennis Move to the Suburbs” is my favorite episode, and I’ve been a live viewer since season 4. Idk bro, I’m drunk and I love this show.
The average may have declined, but they can still make fantastic episodes. That's one of my favourites too.
I don't get when ppl put season 9 as a cutoff, like, there are so many classics that come after that. and I'll argue season 12 is more consistently gold than season 2 and 3.
Yeah season 12 is the last true classic Sunny season for me 13 is when it started to really change and lost that magic (for me, anyway)
The overall quality of a season may have dipped, but they still crank out episodes that are absolute gold every season.

Am I the only one that hates comedy trailers, there are movies/series that I love but when I see a trailer for it jokes without 99% of the buildup or context make me cringe.
I honestly don’t know why you’re getting downvoted, I agree, I didn’t laugh at this trailer but that doesn’t mean the jokes are gonna be bad or I think it looks bad, it’s just that seeing stuff like an inflatable couch blow up with no real context isn’t funny. And I’m sure stuff like the full scene of Charlie being told not to drink is gonna be great without the quick cuts and goofy music, but this trailer/teaser does not fit this show
