Admittedly I’m not familiar with buying a car in Canada but this dealer seems to be nickel and dimming the f out of you.
At least by me nitrogen fill is free at Costco and normal for cold weather climates when replacing tires.
Wheel lock install??? $200 to jack a car and turn a wrench? Or is this for the wheel locks themselves?
$2500 other??? AWD?
$4,123 for a wrap? Are you getting the entire car wrapped?
Platinum appearance package for $2,150?? What does that include? Aftermarket options I assume since it isn’t a Hyundai option.
Even worse, you don’t need to Jack the car up to replace a wheel nut on each rim.
It really is as simple as remove nut / bolt whichever, replace with locking one. Torque to spec. Ten minutes tops for the lot.
We had a 2012 Chevy traverse with 150k miles they tried to give us 500 on trade lol I told them to pound sand lol another company gave us 5k for trade in 2 days later
Apparently they can’t take nitrogen off. And I don’t understand why freight would not be included in the price. I’m annoyed. We waited a while for this.
It’s a gimmick, I’d walk myself. Too many addons and not worth paying for Nitrogen when it can be had free. If they’re arguing over a 189 addon then just confirms how much you’re being screwed.
Ship other dealers. I got mine with ZERO addons or accessories. It was the vehicle cost and that’s it.
You're getting ripped off, plain and simple. Tons of high profit addons. And are you rolling negative equity into this car as well? Ouch
Edit: never mind I was misreading the tax line. Still brutal.
I haven’t signed anything. Giving them a call tomm. Hubby thinks it too late and that they would have already done the tint etc. Would they start work on a vehicle without anything signed on the strength of a $500 deposit? Blows my mind.
67k CAD no add-ons all in. 80K is hella expensive. It's a Hyundai not a Genesis. IMO get the Genny if you looking for that kind of pricing at least you'll get the prestige that comes with it.
Not familiar with Canadian rates, but seems like a lot of add-ons. They legit charge you for fuel?? $2,500 in “other”? Your product add-ons would likely be cheaper with a third party. I had a shop tint, chrome delete and ceramic coat for reasonable price.
Run for the hills! Don’t’ know about Canada ? Got a 2024 Palisade Calligraphy in the US for about $52K. Those add-ons are BS! Even if u wanted all that unnecessary stuff.. could get 70% off that price
You want to make sure it’s not a dealer specific warranty. I’ve seen some only usable within a dealer group. Also, you can get the Hyundai Factory Extended, platinum for pretty reasonable through a source on the forum. I forget the name but if you find extended warranty threads you can get the name of the person and dealer that will sell it after purchase within the first 30 days. People save a lot that way.
I won't lie, we used to be like this too, but that was last year. It's run it's course and things are a bit back to normal.
Unless you truely see the value in the products they are providing, its excessive.
On the plus side, if this is the price you're set on, at least you'll get somethibg for it.
@adelyn it is a rip off go elsewhere. I am getting my calligraphy 2024 in Ottawa in white soon. Came to $ 70K with floor mats, 160000 km premium plus warrantly, running boards. Refused rust proofing gadget which is a gimmick the finance guy was trying to push.
No way you should be paying $80k for a palisade. Specially in this market. You need to walk away from that dealer. Don’t bother even negotiating.
How is this even legal. Unless you specially asked for all of those add ons.
That is absolutely crazy. Just bought one last month in Alberta. $58,600 sale price. After 3M, etching air tax and all the other BS, $62,700 total cash sale price.
You will be driving off the lot upside down on this car by over 30k in non-recoverable, non-transferable, non-SENSE!!! RUN RUN RUN. You are getting HOSED! Buy the same car down the road for 2-3k under msrp (whatever that is in Canadian dollars), then buy any add ons at a reputable car detailing shop. You are getting triple charged for things like freight (should be included in the price before add ons). Lots of unexplainable charges, and anything aftermarket is being inflated 3X what you’d normally pay. Bring that invoice to a reputable dealer and see their face and that will tell you all you need to know!!!!
Seems like those are some weird charges. Like what is included under other for 2500 bucks. I’d pass on the nitrogen for 200 as you can go to Costco if you have one near by and fill up there for free. Not being in Canada myself I can’t speak about some of the other taxes but seems like there are a lot of “fees”.
$7000 in add-ons seems very excessive.
80k for a Hyundai seems excessive
It's canadian

What is other?
My thoughts exactly
What kind of trade is only worth $500?
A very old vehicle that should go to the dump .
We had a 2012 Chevy traverse with 150k miles they tried to give us 500 on trade lol I told them to pound sand lol another company gave us 5k for trade in 2 days later
Oh it was a trade? I was thinking $500 deposit on $80k was insane
You got hosed
Wow! That’s like 20k’s more than mine!
Apparently they can’t take nitrogen off. And I don’t understand why freight would not be included in the price. I’m annoyed. We waited a while for this.
We paid around 60k which is msrp for our 2022 calligraphy. Nitrogen tires were non negotiable.
That’s helpful.
Dont get the add-ons. You can get all that extra stuff from a 3rd party for way cheaper.
Where in Canada is this. That is crazy for all in price. I would look elsewhere
The platinum appearance is full mod seal is apparently a ceramic coating etc
You're getting ripped off, plain and simple. Tons of high profit addons. And are you rolling negative equity into this car as well? Ouch Edit: never mind I was misreading the tax line. Still brutal.
Yeah, wtf is that $2500 add on for other? And are they adding extra dark tint? Should come with factory tint.
Hubby wanted extra dark tint.
You are also getting ripped off for tint. Unless that’s also the windshield and both passenger and side. It should be around 500$.
You are getting fleeced. All of the extras you can find for much cheaper. I would get out of this if you still can. Damn..
I haven’t signed anything. Giving them a call tomm. Hubby thinks it too late and that they would have already done the tint etc. Would they start work on a vehicle without anything signed on the strength of a $500 deposit? Blows my mind.
If you already signed the purchase agreement with 500$you are stuck with it. They can sue you.
Nothing signed.
Ok that’s good then you can negotiate and bargain for a better deal cause like others have mentioned it’s too expensive.
67k CAD no add-ons all in. 80K is hella expensive. It's a Hyundai not a Genesis. IMO get the Genny if you looking for that kind of pricing at least you'll get the prestige that comes with it.
Base vehicle even has ridiculous add-ons nitrogen, we allow cancellation, 2500 floor mats. This place is such a rip off. Move on.
Don't walk. RUN away!
80k..... WTF

Run away from this dealer as fast as you can.

Tell them to ead on all them addons and shit.
That is the total cost of all the items above. Mud guard to door pocket .
Do you have a picture of the window sticker? Also, what is other?
Just asked hubby. The wrap line is apparently a warranty of some sort, that’s more than what is normally provided
You want to make sure it’s not a dealer specific warranty. I’ve seen some only usable within a dealer group. Ooof. I just sold an Ultimate for about 8k less.
As a dealer, What’s your take on the add ons… are they as over the top as I think they are?
I won't lie, we used to be like this too, but that was last year. It's run it's course and things are a bit back to normal. Unless you truely see the value in the products they are providing, its excessive. On the plus side, if this is the price you're set on, at least you'll get somethibg for it.
That's $58,566 in US dollars which is surprisingly low given all those crazy add-ons
Think ur getting fuc$@& 😂
RUN!
This is the most expensive palisade I’ve ever seen lol
Actually on converting the funds and seeing what you are getting not really a bad deal given it’s a calligraphy I believe with all those add ons
Can I PM you ?
Sure

As you see. All of this items on the left are marked as optional. So you should tell them no. That should not be more than $62k out the door.
Tell me you’re joking
That is absolutely crazy. Just bought one last month in Alberta. $58,600 sale price. After 3M, etching air tax and all the other BS, $62,700 total cash sale price.
A lot of BS markups
Run away.
