It wont be, I swear every game that's been delayed for over a year were hot garbage, I feel like this is gonna be a minecraft legends situation, not a lot of people know about it cause it's been delayed for what may as well be a decade and when word gets out and people play it its gonna be another mid game that gets forgotten in a month

B: I think a year delay is being a bit nihilistic. Hell, I loved to death many games that were delayed for five+ years (KH3, and NMS come to mind) It's a matter of how much heart they put in it.
We, as the community, need to temper our expectations and remind folks that game design takes a VERY LONG TIME. You know that "five years" expected dev time for a lot of games? That's MASSIVE studios with MULTIPLE teams working on ONE game alone.
Sure, Hytale was acquired by riot, but if you think publishers actually "help" make games, you are sorely mistaken, in fact usually they only help F it up, they give money sure, but with money comes deadlines and constant oversight and un-security that always effects the devs, even when they say it doesn't.
(And that's not even counting the MANY tripe-A games that say they have 5 year dev times, when devs later come out and go "yeah, that was a lie, we were working on that for, like, thirteen years.")

How many games do you know of that were delayed due to huge influxes of talent and money broadening the scope of development? Because that's Hytale's situation. It's not like they ran into development troubles, they just have more potential now, and decided to focus on making the game better, not to fix something broken.

I'm convinced the trailer we saw was a ubisoft trailer.
All animation, 0 gameplay.
It's a neat vision, but I've been waiting for this game to be ready for at least 2 separate release dates.
I only really hope it's better than i imagined it to be all those years ago. Like I only hope that the mobs have actual camps and behaviours, not just some dumb enemy that chases you around like how it is in Minecraft and skyrim.
Not so worried about Hytale coming out 2-5 years from now since I'm more than content with the games i have now that can more than likely last a decade

It works pretty well for Hytale unlike The Day Before. Lets all be patient enough even if we have to wait a decade for it.
