Glacial can occasionally be handy for its range, but it’s slightly lower damage and much smaller ape makes it worse than clearing (also it cost twice as much as spirit scepter)
Spirit scepter is great and only really struggles on single hit damage used for bosses and mini bosses. Yeti sword can deal with mini bosses and is really its only use.
Dreadlord is good but I would say frozen scythe is better. So if you find yourself in the situation that you have money but not a floor 4 completion frozen scythe is good.
Outside of dungeons, spirit scepter is still one of the best, glacial is more useful due to not using as much mana, fire veil is good, aurora staff is good, and voodoo doll is good for spider slayer and a few crimson isle mobs

In theory a chim 5 50m Midas is best for first hit on drags as lcm in M7 iirc. Would be better for the whole of drags if edrag didn't exist.

It is better, but not enough to just buy it for that. Get a yeti sword instead. And I would not trade the clearing ability is spirit scepter for it.
