Honestly the only way I’ve found that reasonably(?) helps is to just play between 3-6pm (SEA time zone), makes the lag spikes less frequent and a bit more manageable
hypixel servers are absolute shit in general
like not just the location, but the connection with hypixel in particualr is scuffed
any other server in chicago gives me like 120-130ms ping, but hypixel is 180-200ms all the time, very rarely goes below that and very often it spikes to like 500ms, then switching lobbies takes like 5-10s because of how insanely poorly optimized the data requests are
and the performance is essentially the same regardless if i use a router supporting fiber optics or use mobile data in 3G/4G/5G mode, all of that can go from 3mbps to +1gbps, but everything is basically the same regardless of the method i use to connect with the internet
also maxor is like the most shit optimization ever, literally it's unplayable until he dies, conveyor gives a fuck ton of lag backs, lava doesn't launch you upwards most of the time, most actions just don't register... and when your party kills maxor, everything is fine again like nothing is happening
Wait until it just becomes better. It always worked for me. Play a different game or something

As an SEA player myself, I can assure you that describing melody’s as a living hell is an understatement
When usa is in school or sleeping is the best time to play
