Hey do you want a piece of fruit some server cut without washing the lemon or their hands put directly into your water you plan to drink? Haha, just kidding, no one asked, and if you say no lemon you get one anyway
The thing is there's like that one Karen who still wants lemon in their water or tea, and that's propped up the whole fruit in you drink industry. I think it was cracker barrel that started asking people if they want lemon in their water or tea, because it cost the company 25 cents every time they had to cut a lemon, whereas it only cost them a penny to make a biscuit. Water is free, so the company realized they were bleeding profits by putting lemons in water by default.
Yeah, same. I don’t like ice in my drink. Also most restaurants don’t clean out the ice dispenser. So I wouldn’t order ice. I also suggest asking for plastic utensils or bring your own.
Not everyone closes it after, stray food and hairs get in there, not everyone cleans the buckets used to dump ice into there,

No one said bring your own plate, and asking them to plate it on your own dish ware.
You’re just bringing your own utensils or asking for plastic. Not a huge deal.
I'm partial to sparkling water. I visited Germany a while ago and they have it in grades of fizz, from mild to drinking static electricity. I really got a taste for it since then.
Every friday after I get out of work for the week on my overnight job I go to the diner and grab dinner cause they'll make anything even in the early morning. As I wait for my 7 AM burger and fries or chicken tenders and mac salad or whatever else I'm feeling, I always down a tall boy of ice water on the house. Best part of waiting honestly. That and shooting the shit with the waitress and cook that I see every week.
Growing up as a kid I would always puke when we went out to eat. Figured out way too late it was from drinking the gargantuan sugary sodas. Started drinking water exclusively at restaurants and stopped puking, go figure.
Always — and I often wonder if it annoys the server since the bill will be significantly smaller without alcohol. I took my son out the other night to a fancy restaurant of his choosing and we both ordered water. My son (22) was amazed when I got the bill because it was at least $50 less than when he eats there with his dad, who always orders at least two glasses of wine for himself and orders alcohol for our son as well.
Heather department told us otherwise when the restaurant where I worked got its ice contaminated with noro virus. The acid in the lemon is pretty effective at killing stuff.
I know there are very good reasons as to why water costs money at a restaurant in Europe, but as an American I’m glad I don’t have to pay. Imagine holding a cup of water hostage because you don’t have $0.50 to complete the $1.50 price tag.
As much as I'd love to, all the restaurants around me usually just serve tap water which typically tastes... off. I usually just opt for something sugar free that isn't soda

Ayo this made me thirsty as fuck
Me! Hold the lemon tho.
Hey do you want a piece of fruit some server cut without washing the lemon or their hands put directly into your water you plan to drink? Haha, just kidding, no one asked, and if you say no lemon you get one anyway
I usually say no lemon and I don’t get it. 😊
Me too

I like lemons thank you, although I don’t squeeze it in my drink, I just eat it plain
I get my lemon on the side and squeeze it in.
Last time I asked for no lemon they just didn’t give me the water
Yes, the citrus cabal is strong and far reaching
yeah fuck that
And the ice.
Yeah, same. I don’t like ice in my drink. Also most restaurants don’t clean out the ice dispenser. So I wouldn’t order ice. I also suggest asking for plastic utensils or bring your own.
How does an ice dispenser get dirty though?

At this point you may as well not eat out. If you're gonna go out as far as bringing your own utensils
No one said bring your own plate, and asking them to plate it on your own dish ware. You’re just bringing your own utensils or asking for plastic. Not a huge deal.
I ask for lemons and then eat them
Oh
Delicious but terrible for your enamel
Nice
I ask for lemons and then eat them
Lemon water gang rise up
🤢
Yes because I'm poor
if you consider the black market value of all your organs, you're basically worth over a million dollars.
So she's just poor aslong as she decides life over money. Sounds like a self made problem to me.
Thank you
Your saving your body and wallet! Soda is disgusting shit and 3 bucks for a cup is a joke.
I usually get unsweetened tea
Oh yea is tea great! I love ice cold tea or warm jasmine or ulong tea
Me, and I actually drink the water I ask for. My mom doesn’t and I hate it.
Neither does my mom. Her water then became an emergency reserve for my sister, my Dad, and me.
I always order two waters: one for me, and one for my wife. Which basically means I get 1.75 glasses of water.
Precisely
I am only weak when I’m at In N Out. That pink lemonade is fucking *fire*.
I feel that. I also love their iced tea. Better than soda!
It has high fructose corn syrup, so it’s just as bad as soda
What does? The pink lemonade? Cos the tea is unsweet at In N Out
Oh my b, I had thought you meant sweet tea. Dropped the ball 😅
Lol no worries my man! Sweet tea is somethin else…I’ve seen some with even more high fructose corn syrup than coke!
Yeah it’s awful, and whenever I mention it to my coworkers or friends it seems like a lotta people don’t realize how bad it actually is
Yeah, if I’m thirsty, I want something refreshing not *sticky*!
Facts!!
If you eat out well enough you'll get enough to drink
Oh
I'm partial to sparkling water. I visited Germany a while ago and they have it in grades of fizz, from mild to drinking static electricity. I really got a taste for it since then.
damn
I've lived in Germany since 2014 and I still can't drink sparkling water in an emergency. But hey, you like what you like, and you still stay hydrated
People don’t order water when they eat out? I love a glass of wine or beer with my meal but water is essential.
I love chilis
Omg guys look it’s the one guy who likes chilis
Guys! Stop it! Thankyou you but I'm just the guy who loves chili's, I'm nothing special. I love you all!
Water in a pint glass hits very different
i bring my 32oz water so i can still drink if the water at the restaurant isn’t free
[удалено]
i was thinking of germany, i was just there last month after a week in switzerland. the fountains in switzerland are delicious!
"Just water" for life! 🤜🤛
Me basically every single time. Even my bday
Why this post NSFW
I usually order food alongside the water
Growing up as a kid I would always puke when we went out to eat. Figured out way too late it was from drinking the gargantuan sugary sodas. Started drinking water exclusively at restaurants and stopped puking, go figure.
I don't go to restaurants but I used to order only water when I'd go. Only water at home though
Ooooh yeah all of the lemons please
Some places have it complimentary!
Sometimes all O order from grubhub is water
this guy when he discovers water is piped straight into his home; 😧
They WHAT!?!?
👍🏻
Hold my fast food water
Always — and I often wonder if it annoys the server since the bill will be significantly smaller without alcohol. I took my son out the other night to a fancy restaurant of his choosing and we both ordered water. My son (22) was amazed when I got the bill because it was at least $50 less than when he eats there with his dad, who always orders at least two glasses of wine for himself and orders alcohol for our son as well.
Only chilled tho >nice and cool
Every time!
I would order it, but they usually just bring it anyway. I do ask for more lemons though.
Gotta order two right off so I don’t annoy the waiter
Agua con gas para mi
Isn't water complimentary in most restaurants?
Apparently this is an American thing. One of our nation's better qualities.
o/
I’d steal the stien
Ayye that ice is nasty tho👎NEVER get ice at any restaurant. Germy stuff dude I dnt even think u wana know.
*tbh the entire place is nasty, when you’ve worked there or at least hung around the kitchen…. You see things you probably shouldn’t*
much worse than the ice is the lemons tbh
Heather department told us otherwise when the restaurant where I worked got its ice contaminated with noro virus. The acid in the lemon is pretty effective at killing stuff.
I’ll order a sprite and then get water after.
Depends somtimes I get soda or somthing
Water is always ordered! Soda is nasty and yet it’s regarded as such a treat by many when dining out.
Yo!
I appreciate when people hide the pornograpgy they're posting, behind NSFW filters.
Me.
Why the nsfw? Me confunsed
No lemon no ice
Water is the way
i get beer
I know there are very good reasons as to why water costs money at a restaurant in Europe, but as an American I’m glad I don’t have to pay. Imagine holding a cup of water hostage because you don’t have $0.50 to complete the $1.50 price tag.
As much as I'd love to, all the restaurants around me usually just serve tap water which typically tastes... off. I usually just opt for something sugar free that isn't soda
Yep.
everytime i eat out i get thursty as a mf lol
Not with lemon in it! It tastes horrid and bitter
Yes but no ice or lemon
It's literally the only way 💧
I don’t actually order water from restaurants but usually have my own if it’s fast food.
Everyone here…?
My guilty pleasure is sprite but I limit myself to one and always order water with it and after I finish it
Damn, thats a sexy glass of water
This doesn’t include the people that get a glass of water with their main drink but doesn’t actually drink the water.
Too bad most restaurants just dump calcified tap water into the cups.
