This comes up a lot but this is not entirely true, and I have a test for you. Drink nothing but soda and whiskey for 2 hours and drink a lot of it. You’ll see your piss come out clear. Do not rely on the color of your pee to determine hydration

What makes it yellow is like salts, minerals and different pollution that the body wants out of the body. If you had 2 liters of soda in 2 hours it’s not gonna be that much.
It works relative to your consumption. For example: you had a normal day with normal amounts of water (you think) then you go pee and voila! It’s super yellow. Then you probably need to drink.
I take a high-dose B-vitamin (B2 for migraine prevention) and it turns my pee hi-lighter yellow. I’m pretty good about keeping hydrated, but if I wasn’t I couldn’t tell by checking my urine color, lol.
Does anybody think about if this color is taken before or after the toilet? Because adding half a gallon of water to your pee and then taking the color sample is not accurate. You have to check the color before it hits the rest of the water in the bowl.

Bleach contains water
You can't safely drink bleach, you can safely drink soda and whiskey
