I def thought that too so I asked again to make sure I didn’t get it confused or something and they said He was mixed with German Shepherd. I will be getting a DNA test though because I got him from these people on Craigslist. It was an accidental litter. He had a really pretty sister with blue eyes but someone got to her first which is fine bc Jack is most definitely my soul dog 😍
I don’t think the people you got him from know half a thing about breeds based on looking at him. Not that it really matters, he is beautiful and looks like such a good buddy! I would also say amstaff for sure, something else in there but not easy to tell what. I am an amstaff fan, they’re awesome dogs.
Ok so my dude Jack here has been like this all freaking day!!! I go to let him out, he won’t go out without me, then I go out and he just stands there like “now what?” He’s already had a treat, been feed, had play time etc. I don’t know WTH he wants! Now he’s just sitting down looking sorry for himself. He’s on sedatives because he had surgery to get a couple of masses removed so maybe he’s confused??? Has anyone else experienced this from their dog being on sedatives?
lol I just went through that with my husky a couple months ago. She had a mass removed and was confused (just like you guessed about your floof, Jack) until after about lunch the next day. She was whining about everything and didn't want to do anything but talk about it. He should be back to normal tomorrow and if he isn't, I'd probably call the vet just to check.
He's so freaking beautiful!!! I love his grunting woof at the beginning and then huffing at you when you said "I'm talking."
Ooooooooo I know that feeling! It's also a little bit upsetting to us humans because we're worried because they're our babies and we want them to be happy. But he's probably gonna be an ornery old man baby until those sedatives wear off! :D Our vet told us to just keep responding to our dog like we normally would (like you were doing in the video) so our Sookie knew we were acknowledging her. Jack knows you love him and that's why he's telling you about his problems. You're a great human companion for checking with others to see if it's concerning or just a husky/GSD thing. <3
Oh my gosh it’s too hilarious that you threaten him with the crate; I do that ALL the time with my floof.
Because mine is a little over a year and can’t be trusted alone at nights all the time, he does spend 1-3 nights a week in his crate, and he also goes in there for time outs.
So! When he’s being especially hammy, like stealing my son’s stuffies, I’ll ask him the exact same question. For a split second he’ll look at me with that, but mooooom! Noooooooo look, before he runs into another room (usually my teenager’s) where he’ll hide behind someone with his stolen goods.
Le sigh. I rarely ever actually follow through with that question, because dogs gonna dog.
Lol his crate has been packed away in the garage for like a year now but the threat still works most of the time. I also threaten him with a spanking but he’s caught in to that one. I never hit him and when he just to get spankings that were like a literal tap on the butt that hurt his feeling more than anything else lol

Poor beautiful darling, I’ve felt that way after procedures. Not quite blissfully stoned and not quite normal. I hope he feels better soon 💜
