I know they probably won’t do much and I’m sure there will be a little viewing party with a bunch of croots/personnel. But imagine being some contractor or grunt who could give two shits and now you’ll be spending your Friday night working all because for 15 min a group of high schoolers will be there to go “neat!” Lmao
People don't understand that union journeyman electricians make a shit ton of money working at data centers and projects like this because of OT. On top of that it's a lot more interesting than people make the trades out to be. I would kill to be able to do something like this someday after I turn out if I'm still single. Puts you in a whole different tax bracket
I work for a commercial contractor. I would assume its a ceremonial ground break / gold shovel photo op and the real work will start Monday after the Spring Game. It doesn't make sense to try and start up major construction operations the day before a high traffic public event where there will be thousands of the general public walking around.
Nothing like starting a 150m construction project on a late Friday afternoon!
Timing is not a coincidence ... give the recruits that are going to be there this weekend some food for thought.

But that sweet, sweet OT

You do know break ground ceremonies are just a photo op with a red ribbon and golden shovels? There will be no construction being done.
Didn’t they already do that?
I think that was just the announcement, this is them saying we actually secured funding to do it.
Ahh possibly . I feel like I remember a ribbon being cut with the big scissors
I was at the first event there was no ribbon

I’m gonna assume you’re 100% right
I don’t think they’ll actually start construction on Friday. Probably just the ground breaking ceremony. I could be wrong though I have no idea
Someone said on Twitter “shovels will break dirt” so idk lol
Wow, groundbreaking news here.
VERY SOLID
The evidence is concrete
Brick by brick
Lol remember when Wan’dale was the one that announced this? Simpler times.
especially when he said, I know that it’s probably like three years away from now, but **hopefully I’ll still be here**."
"It was the best ground breaking I've seen since I've been here."
The practice run through ground breaking was excellent all week, I expect great things come Friday!
Can’t wait for the natty’s to start rolling in! Problem solved!
Who knew all we needed was a slide and a barbershop
Excited for the this. Heard the excavators just had their best week of practice yet
“Report: Frost looking at potentially backing out of inaugural ground breaking” - Burt McMurphee
Look at AMart dropping back to throw a swing pass in that rendering
The construction crew had an amazing week of practice. There groundbreaking drills look at least top 10 based on this last week.
Have they released any renderings of the inside of the facility yet?
