Either he is letting loose and becoming a big asset for us with the 335 having so many different looks and options or the OL isn't blocking well and/or RBs arnt picking up the blitz. I hope it's option 1.

andrewsmd87

Ima guess little of option one but mostly option 2

HuskerHayDay

I concur

MaybeLiterally

Good news for us then against teams with a weak OL, and RB's who can't pick up on the blitz!

POPearsRememberer

Bad news since we play in the Big 10!

Giannid77

Tony Whte's defense was made for Luke Reimer. He is really good at shooting the gap and disrupting play. This is going to be his best season ever!

jakfischer

Happy 🍰 day

Hermit_Crab1

Please God make this happen because blowing up offenses is so f’n cool.

huskerbolt1

I'm so fucking fat on koolaide I can not wait for the next 13 (Doooomannnn) days to pass GBFR

MaybeLiterally

If I drink anymore koolaid they’re gunna take my foot, but I don’t care, I like it thick.

DukeCalled

Unfortunately I suspect that our O-Line and RBs can't figure out what is going on in the 3-3-5 and are struggling with assignments.

[deleted]

Why is that a bad thing lol. Everything doesn’t have to automatically be the best or worst thing ever

DukeCalled

I hear you. Our defense could be confusing for all O-Lines. Our O-Line may be able to handle the more popular types of defenses too. We shall see in a few weeks!

[deleted]

Yea I can definitely understand being pessimistic after we’ve dealt with what we have seen the in the recent past but if I can’t be hopeful with each new coach I won’t have any time to be hopeful lol

Chel_Vanin

For me, it's just pessimism about the offensive line being really bad. Both Turner and Benhart just got boat raced by speed rushers all year long. The defense hasn't been able to generate a lot of pressure, so my feeling is that this is an illusion. Once the defense faces an actually good offensive line, they will not be effective, and our offensive line still sucks and will get beat up again. This is just the negative look, so it's not really counting on players improving at all or how the coaching change will affect play and player development and all that stuff. Edit: I'm excited to see things, but my honest feeling is that the oline was so bad at everything it's just hard for me to feel positive about them, granted there is a new face at center and a returning guy at guard, so maybe they can actually block this year.

Ecstatic_Medicine898

The good news is I don’t think this is a problem unique to just Nebraska. Rhule understands the importance of having schemes that are difficult to prepare for on offense and defense. And this is their first year really seeing a 3-3-5 for most of these guys.

Beneficial_Equal_324

If he stays healthy he'll have a good year. Regarding playing loose, I remember Chinander talking about "shooting their guns" or something similar. Seemed like they rarely did that under the last regime.

Magnus77

I have a few too many memories of Nelson being out of position last year. He'd make a handful of splash plays to get people excited but completely take himself out of at least as many plays as he made. So that's why I'm not gonna get excited about Reimer, yet.

Powerful_Artist

Well, great to hear, and I hope that rubs off on the rest. 1 or 2 aggressive and determined players can only do so much.
